Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 721: Chapter 720: This is a Major Crisis!!

Although they had already seen the image of Heavenly Dao Palace on Fang Zheng’s terminal, when they actually walked on the streets and looked at this vibrant and cheerful town, everyone still felt extremely refreshed.

What eased Fang Zheng’s mind was that most of the Cursed Children on the streets behaved quite normally and were not affected by his absence. It seemed that Nymph and the others had indeed kept the news tightly sealed. At least for now, everything at Heavenly Dao Palace was normal, and that was enough.

”Big brother! Good morning!”

”Ah, Mr. Fang Zheng!”

”Brother Fang Zheng! Long time no see, which world have you been to recently?”

Seeing the appearance of Fang Zheng and his companions, the Cursed Children also greeted him eagerly while curiously sizing up the girls by Fang Zheng’s side.

”They really are all children......”

Illya, blinking with curiosity, whispered to Yoshino, who nodded slightly in response. Perhaps because the children on the street seemed younger than herself, Yoshino felt calmer despite her usual shyness.

”Illya, look, that child over there actually has wings!”

Little Hei, seemingly fascinated by something, grabbed Illya’s arm and pointed to the other side. Illya and Yoshino also looked that way and then couldn’t help but exclaim.

”Wow, how beautiful......”

While everyone whispered amongst themselves, a winged girl had already walked onto the steps of the nearby square and began to sing, clasping her hands tightly. Soon, her melodious voice spread through the streets. The other Cursed Children were evidently accustomed to her singing, as many gathered around her, listening quietly. The sunlight descended from the sky, casting a hazy reflection on the girl’s pure and immaculate wings, making her seem like a true Angel.

”So beautiful to listen to......”

Hearing the girl’s singing, everyone around Fang Zheng couldn’t help stopping to listen, while Little Hei curiously looked at Fang Zheng and asked.

”Big brother, is that girl also a Cursed Child?”

”That’s right.”

In response to Little Hei’s question, Fang Zheng nodded.

”She’s so cute, I really want to visit that world......”

”I advise you not to imagine that world as too wonderful.”

In response to Little Hei’s sigh, Fang Zheng gave a bitter smile.

”Don’t be fooled by her appearance now. In fact, when I rescued her, she was about to pour lead into her own eyes.”

”What?!”

Hearing this, Illya, Yoshino, and the others were greatly shocked.

”Why?”

”Because in that world, red eyes are the symbol of a Cursed Child, and her mother hated her eyes intensely. That child thought that if she blinded herself, her mother wouldn’t get angry anymore. But since Cursed Children have exceptionally strong regenerative powers, just blinding her eyes wouldn’t have lasted long, and they would have healed quickly. So she wanted to pour lead into her eyes, by that means she wouldn’t have red eyes anymore......”

”How could this be......!”

Hearing this, Illya, Little Hei, and Yoshino all showed pained expressions. Looking again at the girl with a gentle smile who sang freely, they didn’t know what to say.

”MASTER.”

But at that moment, Atalanta, who was next to them, suddenly spoke up.

”I want to visit that world......”

”You’d better not. It’s taken a lot of effort to stabilize that world, and I’m afraid you might kill them all.”

Although Atalanta appeared calm, Fang Zheng could feel a strong surge of anger in her tone. Truth be told, any person with a normal moral compass would want to kill all those who harmed these Cursed Children. But there is a difference between keyboard warriors expressing views online and actually taking action.

Even though one can post comments like ”Let’s go there and kill them all!” online, in reality, logistical support, march routes, and a host of other issues need to be considered.

After all, reality isn’t a game where everything is managed with a click of a mouse.

And for Atalanta... Fang Zheng really worried that if she went, she’d get so angry she’d kill them all without thinking, given that her Noble Phantasm is a large-area AOE!

”Don’t worry, I have now taken control of that world, and the discrimination and brutal acts against the Cursed Children have been curbed. Those Cursed Children will come to the Heavenly Dao Palace after being examined and treated, and then they will live here...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng looked towards Kurumi, who was by his side.

”Kurumi, may I trouble you?”

”Of course, there’s no problem, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

Kurumi’s expression did not change in the slightest, but her tone became much more serious. Although she had learned some details about the Cursed Children from Fang Zheng before coming here, it was not thorough. It was only now that Kurumi truly understood the treatment these seemingly innocent and adorable children had received in their world... Well, if Fang Zheng had not already assured her that he had control over that world, Kurumi probably could not have resisted sending a few clones to check the situation and incidentally let the humans of that world taste what real pain and death were like.

After all, her title ”Nightmare” was not for nothing!

Of course, this was just a digression. After that, Fang Zheng quickly took everyone back to his home—this had almost become a constant with Fang Zheng. If they were his subordinates or companions from other worlds, they would typically live in the same place as Fang Zheng. After all, the Western Mansion had been renovated and now had three floors, providing enough rooms for the newcomers to settle in.

But just as Fang Zheng pushed open the grand door and walked into the Western Mansion, before he could even say ”Suruma, your Emperor has returned!”, a petite figure suddenly lunged into his embrace.

”Brother Fang Zheng... welcome back.”

”...I’m back, Midori.”

Looking at Fumie Busei who had thrown herself into his arms, Fang Zheng also smiled and reached out to gently stroke her little head while casually rubbing those adorable cat ears... Mm, soft and tender, just as comfortable as ever.

”Brother Zheng, you’re back.”

”Fang Zheng! It’s been so long, why were you away for such a long time this time?”

At this point, Natsuse and Nobiru also came over from the side. Nobiru cheerfully waved to Fang Zheng, while Natsuse reached out to take the coat from Fang Zheng’s hand. She then carefully sized up Fang Zheng and let out a sigh of relief.

”Seeing you’re all right, I’m relieved.”

”Sorry for making you worry.”

Nodding at the two of them, Fang Zheng felt a bit embarrassed. He could see, even though Nymph had blocked the news, both Natsuse and Midori must have had a vague idea that something had happened to him, which was why they were so worried. On the contrary, Nobiru, the carefree little one, seemed very cheerful... Indeed, sometimes being a bit simple-minded makes life happier.

After that brief introduction, Fang Zheng soon introduced Illya, Little Hei, and Yoshino to Natsuse and the others. Perhaps because they were close in age, even though it was their first meeting, both sides seemed quite close. However, what puzzled Fang Zheng was that when he introduced Kurumi, the expressions on the faces of the few little ones opposite him stiffened noticeably.

Fang Zheng didn’t think too much about it, assuming it was because they were not used to interacting with adults. After all, the Heavenly Dao Palace was full of children, and Kurumi was considered an ”adult” among them. It was natural for them to feel a bit uneasy due to the age difference.

After the brief introductions, Fang Zheng returned to his room to cuddle with the cat and deal with affairs. After all, he had been away for so long, and he needed to immediately understand and manage the current situation in both the Heavenly Dao Palace and the Main World. Meanwhile, Fumie Busei took the others to the rooms prepared for them...

However, just as Natsuse was about to follow, Nobiru pulled her into a corner.

”Natsuse, did you notice? This isn’t good!”

”What’s wrong?”

Hearing Nobiru’s concern, Natsuse blinked in surprise, turning to look at the pigtails next to her.

”Is there a problem?”

”Of course, there’s a problem! I mean Sister Kurumi! Sister Kurumi!”

”What about Sister Kurumi...?”

”Didn’t you notice, Natsuse?”

As she spoke, Nobiru gestured at her own chest.

”Sister Kurumi’s bust is this... big! And her hips are that... round!”

”She’s older than us... Isn’t that normal?”

”No, no, no, it’s not normal!”

Nobiru vigorously shook her head.

”Let’s not talk about the Battleship big sisters! But this is the first time Fang Zheng has actively brought back a sister with such a good figure! Does it mean that Brother Zheng has grown tired of the loli attribute? If that’s the case, what do we do? This is a major crisis!!”

”...Huh?”
