Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 395: Chapter 394: The Invader’s Final Outcome

Although he had already braced himself for the worst, the sight before the teenager’s eyes caused a surge of fear to take hold of him.

In the dimly-lit basement, flesh writhed everywhere, and amidst these chunks of flesh, pale and gaunt people were wrapped tightly inside, like spiders’ prey. What was more terrifying for the teenager was that, with the help of the flashlight, he could clearly see tentacles, like tree roots, dangling down from above these people’s heads, penetrating their brains, and wriggling with each pull!!

”Aaaaahhhh!!”

Upon seeing this scene, the teenager couldn’t help but scream out loud, retreating in panic. He raised the gun in his hand, gasping for air, and aimed at these bizarre fleshy orbs. But his overwhelming fear made it impossible for him to pull the trigger.

What on earth are these things? Are they Intestinal Creatures?

Although his mind was desperately trying to convince him that this must be some variant of Intestinal Creatures, the teenager instinctively felt that these beings were unlike anything he knew, that they were from a distant world, and did not belong on this planet.

”Huff!!”

It was at this moment that the teenager felt a rush of wind from behind. He quickly rolled forward, feeling an intense burning sensation grazing his back as he bent over, and almost instinctively raised his pistol and fired a shot behind him!

”Bang!”

Amidst the sparks, the teenager saw a sinister shadow flash past him from behind, then quickly disappear into the shadows.

What was that creature? Was it really an Intestinal Creature?

With this thought, the teenager’s vigilance reached its peak. His right eye burst open, and he quickly transformed it into a mechanical eye to scan his surroundings. At that moment, he once again saw a strange black shadow lunging towards him from the darkness!

No dodging this time!

Realizing this, the teenager quickly raised his right hand in front of him. The next moment, the black shadow struck his right hand heavily.

”Clang!!!”

Contrary to expectations, the shadow did not pierce the teenager’s arm. Instead, a series of sparks emerged as it collided with his right hand, and the teenager stumbled backward, crashing onto the ground. However, he quickly stood up again, warily watching his surroundings.

The fake skin used to disguise his right arm was now completely torn, revealing the bluish-black metal arm underneath the weak light. In reality, the teenager’s arm was not made of flesh and blood but was a prosthetic made from Hua Stone.

This was a product of the Intestinal War. To combat Intestinal Creatures, humans had used Hua Stone to create prosthetics for those who lost their limbs in the war and turned them into warriors. And the teenager before us was one of them.

I must get out of here.

Clenching his fists, the teenager watched his surroundings vigilantly, only now realizing that something seemed to be constantly moving around him, trying to trap him. Although he didn’t know what it was or what had happened here, he was certain that the Heavenly Dao Palace had definitely not done any good here! Although the evidence he had so far was not sufficient, these images should be enough to...

”Whoosh!!”

The sound of wind rose again, and the teenager leaped up, dodging another Swing Strike that emerged out of nowhere. He rolled from the ground and stood up, then dashed towards the stairs. But just as he was about to step onto the staircase, another shadow suddenly appeared, blocking his path of retreat.

”What is... this...”

It was only then that the teenager finally got a clear look at the monster before him.

It was a pitch-black creature, with weird, hard, bony spines, slender arms and a tail, and a long, banana or bread-like elliptical head. It did not resemble the Intestinal Creatures the teenager had seen before but rather looked like a frightening being from some other world.

”......”

The black Alien lifted its head, opened its mouth, and viscous saliva dripped down its mouth. Although it had no eyes, the teenager could still feel the chilling murderous intent emanating from its body, locking on to him.

I have to escape from here!

With his right fist clenched, the teenager watched the creature’s movements, then saw a blur in front of his eyes, and the next moment, the black Creature pounced toward him!

Now is the moment!

”Tiantong-style martial arts, Form 15———!!”

Watching the black Creature lunging at him, the teenager roared as he swung his fist. In that moment, his right hand seemed to explode with a ”bang, bang” radiance. Then, as the explosion occurred, his entire hand Accelerated with a whistling sound towards its target.

”Cloud——!”

Thud.

However, the boy’s action was not yet complete.

A sharp, jagged barb pierced through the boy’s back and out of his chest. The boy, who was lunging forward, had not anticipated the ambush and immediately coughed up a mouthful of blood. Before he could make another move, he saw the black barb lift him off the ground, suspending him in the air.

”Ugh... ah...”

His chest began to feel burning hot, and everything in front of him started to blur. The boy strained to open his eyes, and the only thing he could see was the monster’s gaping mouth.

”...Looks like... I lost... Sorry... Mu...”

”Phew!”

However, before the boy could finish his sentence, the next moment, the Alien’s feeding tube shot out of its mouth like a bullet, shattering his head to pieces. The boy’s body twitched once, then collapsed to the ground, never making another sound.

By the time Fang Zheng returned to the ”research institute” with Tilia, it was already evening.

”We’ve had intruders?”

Fang Zheng was also somewhat surprised after receiving the news from Lulana.

”It seems those guys from the Tokyo Special Zone really can’t sit still... Right, where’s the body?”

”Since the head was destroyed, I determined there was no value in keeping it, so it has already been disposed of.”

”I see.”

Hearing Lulana’s response, Fang Zheng nodded and then quickly dismissed the unfortunate intruder from his mind. It didn’t matter who the person was or what they were doing here; they were dead now. Since they were dead, there was no need to concern himself further.

”By the way, how is the progress on the research?”

”Report, Master, we have made initial success.”

Upon Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Lulana promptly put aside the matter of the previous intruder and responded.

”As you suggested, Master, I made further adjustments to the genetic structure of the Amoeba... We finally made some progress.”

”Oh?”

Fang Zheng immediately became interested upon hearing Lulana’s report.

”What kind of progress?”

”We reconstructed the Amoeba and then injected it into a host body. The Amoeba will gradually consume and merge with the host’s brain, achieving the goal of full control over it. However...”

”However?”

”Since the human body is quite fragile, the merging process requires at least three hours and the subject will exhibit symptoms of high fever and fall into a comatose state...”

”That’s not a problem.”

Fang Zheng shook his head, then after a moment of contemplation, he made a decision.

”Since we’ve already made initial progress, the next step is large-scale human trials... Hmm...”

At this point, Fang Zheng paused briefly, then he reached into his pocket, pulled out his cell phone, and glanced at it. Then, with a smug curl of his lips, Fang Zheng said.

”It looks like we’ve found a very suitable volunteer.”

Then, he continued speaking.
