Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 376: Chapter 375: The Intermediary Line of Destruction or Salvation

”Whoosh...”

The warm water poured down. Fang Zheng closed his eyes, feeling the flow of the hot water spraying from the showerhead. Then, he stretched out his hand, gripped tightly, and then released.

”I really didn’t expect that I would have this day...”

While muttering to himself, Fang Zheng looked forward. He still vividly remembered, not long ago, he had been a nobody, struggling to survive, only desiring to live on. But now, he possessed an incredibly powerful force. Relying on the Zerg forces he had nurtured in the Ironblood World, he only needed to flick his finger to completely conquer this new world. However, he still hadn’t adapted to this feeling. He felt like a soldier who had been patrolling outside the royal palace and was suddenly pulled up to the throne, only to be told that he had become the king from today onwards and could do whatever he desired.

Although in Shana’s world, he had worked as a ”God of Creation”, he had main missions, so he just followed them. But now, in this world, Fang Zheng hadn’t yet decided whether he wanted to use his power to conquer it.

The moment he summoned the Zerg, whether it be intestinal creatures or humans, all would have but one path: unconditional surrender. But what after that? Would he find interest in ruling over all? Or would he exterminate all humans? That was of course impossible, but if he didn’t exterminate humans, would they accept the fact that they had lost their dominion over Earth?

Originally, Fang Zheng hadn’t thought so much about it; his initial thought was simply to take away the ”Cursed Children” of the Pitch Black World and then let the humans and intestinal creatures on the planet fend for themselves. But soon, he realized that his idea was too unrealistic.

Based on conservative estimates, there were currently as many as seven hundred thousand ”Cursed Children” on Earth, which of course, in a population of hundreds of millions, was not a particularly huge number. But Fang Zheng’s Heavenly Dao Palace couldn’t accommodate seven hundred thousand ”Cursed Children”, not to mention that ”Cursed Children” were born every year and were not a one-time occurrence.

Wanting to save these ”Cursed Children” was not just a matter of taking them away.

It required controlling the entire world.

But could he really do it?

Fang Zheng asked himself. He actually didn’t have particularly grand ambitions. Even now, he was the leader of the Void Domain, but Fang Zheng would return to Shana’s world without flaunting his authority. He preferred tasting the cuisines of Earth or buying some daily necessities and consumables. He occasionally chatted with Shana and Nanoka over tea, discussing recent events.

But that was it. He was not willing to sit on the throne wearing a dignified expression, listening to Berupeoru saying things like, ”If there’s business to report, report it; if not, leave.”

More importantly, in this world, he had no subordinates he could trust. Unlike in the Void Domain where the Demon Kings of the Crimson Realm were responsible for the management at the masquerade ball. If he really wanted to rule the Pitch Black World, he would have to do everything himself.

But could he really do that? And as a ruler of the Zerg?

”Click.”

As Fang Zheng was contemplating, suddenly, the door to the bathroom quietly opened.

”Is it Tilia?”

Hearing the knocking sound, Fang Zheng glanced outside the door and then asked. As there were a lot of children in Heavenly Dao Palace recently, Tilia had become much more restrained, although she still occasionally snuck in to share a bath with Fang Zheng. If it were Nymph and Black Katie, they wouldn’t choose this time to visit him.

However, to Fang Zheng’s surprise, the voice he heard was not Tilia’s usual call of ”Elder Brother” followed by a coquettish expression darting in, but a gentle and very pleasant voice.

”Big, big brother... are you there?”

”... Midori?”

Hearing this voice, Fang Zheng showed a surprised expression.

”Is something the matter?”

”Yes, it’s like this...”

Responding to Fang Zheng’s question, Fumie Busei timidly began to reply.

”Sister Tilia... instructed us... to fulfill our duties as maids...”

”Duties?”

”Yes... I apologize, I’m coming in, big brother.”

As she spoke, Fumie Busei pushed the bathroom door open and walked in. Seeing the girl before him, Fang Zheng was also momentarily stunned.

Small, delicate figure. Under the illumination of the light, her skin was dazzlingly pale, her silver hair, usually tied in braids, now flowed freely like a silver wedding gown trailing behind her. On top of the girl’s head, a pair of large cat ears moved restlessly while in her hands, she held a towel. Her large purple eyes were fixed on Fang Zheng, her face flushed with hints of red. Meanwhile, a tail swayed ceaselessly behind her.

”Big, big brother...”

”Uh...”

Looking at the girl before him, Fang Zheng also felt somewhat awkward. He wasn’t harboring any lascivious thoughts towards Fumie Busei. Even if he had a thing for younger girls, he’d be interested in those who had just begun to blossom. Yet, Fumie was not even at that level; she was merely a bud that had just formed. If Fang Zheng had taken an interest in her, he would almost be labeled as scum...

Despite that, being with a girl in the bathroom and facing each other so openly still made Fang Zheng feel a bit uncomfortable.

”What...what are you doing here?”

”It’s like this...”

Fumie Busei lowered her head, her cheeks crimson while she shifted her body uneasily.

”Tilia Sister taught us... as maids... we must always serve the master, so... I’ve come to help Master take a bath...”

”.........”

Tilia, what on earth did you teach them?

Looking at Fumie Busei, who almost buried her head into the floor tiles, Fang Zheng was at a loss for words. His three summoned creatures were responsible for teaching these cursed children, among which Black Katie mainly taught them to abide by the rules and order of the Heavenly Dao Palace, being the Grand Priestess, she was more than suitable for such advisory roles.

Meanwhile, Tilia was in charge of teaching these kids manners and etiquette. As a Follower of the Crimson Realm who appeared with the attribute of a ”Young Lady,” she was the most familiar with instructing on etiquette and responsibilities, so Fang Zheng was quite relieved to entrust this matter to her.

As for Nymph, with her high intelligence and extensive knowledge, she became the most important cultural studies teacher for these kids, covering subjects from language and mathematics all the way to physics and chemistry, primarily handled by Nymph.

Of course, except for music, Fang Zheng did not want corpses strewn all over the Heavenly Dao Palace, nor was he sure whether the ’Cursed Children’ could withstand the Little Angel’s supersonic waves...

Going back to Tilia, she indeed mentioned preparing a team of maids for him... but there was no need to teach them about this sort of thing!

”Please, please allow me to serve, serve Master in taking a bath...”

”Ah...”

Looking at the cat-eared little loli uttering lines she was not even good at, Fang Zheng sighed deeply, then he reached out and patted Fumie Busei’s little head.

”Alright, stop saying those things, just help me scrub my back. Then I will help you wash too, is that okay?”

”Really? Big brother?”

Hearing this, Fumie Busei looked up happily, and her tail shot upright behind her.

”Of course, then I appreciate your help.”

As he said this, Fang Zheng sat down. Fumie Busei also came behind him and stretched out her hands to scrub his back. As a ’Coordinator,’ her strength was of course not as slight as she appeared, but Fumie had clearly practiced because her movements were gentle and her strength was mild, making Fang Zheng feel quite comfortable as two small hands roamed over his back.

But the next moment, Fang Zheng felt a petite, warm body pressing against his back.

”Midori?”

”Thank you... Big brother...”

The voice of Fumie Busei trembling a bit came from beside his ear, but it was filled with a sort of undefinable attachment.

”I never thought I would live a life like this one day. Originally, as a ’Cursed Child’... I should just be waiting in a corner, waiting to turn into a monster. It was big brother who saved me, and also let me have a life that I could only dream of... I...”

As she spoke, Fang Zheng felt two small arms wrapping around his waist.

”... I... like big brother the most...”

”Is that so...”

Hearing the girl’s voice near his ear, Fang Zheng closed his eyes.

Just for those words, maybe... he really should make some changes.
