Chapter 351: Chapter 350: The Tough Battle with the Shadow Dragon

Shadows tumbled.

The provoked Shadow Dragon no longer seemed to hold back, as the shadows that enveloped its body rapidly spread, as if the entire sky was shrouded by a black curtain. At the same time, gigantic, pitch-black figures of the Dragon Race emerged all around Fang Zheng.

“Swoosh!”

A giant dragon, formed entirely from shadows, suddenly appeared from behind Fang Zheng and lunged at him with its gaping maw. But Fang Zheng, flapping his wings, somersaulted to dodge the Shadow Dragon’s attack, and then he opened his mouth and released a silent breath aimed at the assailant.

“Bang!”

As the “Breath of Exile” erupted, the Shadow Dragon burst into two and shattered. But this did not signify its demise or death. On the contrary, as the Shadow Dragon fell apart, several more charged at Fang Zheng from both sides. Faced with a pincer assault from two Shadow Dragons, Fang Zheng had no choice but to ascend higher, and then dazzling Holy Light sparked up once again beside him.

Under the illumination of the Holy Light, several Shadow Dragons were instantly torn into fragments, but some evaded the Holy Light and attacked Fang Zheng again. They opened their huge mouths, attempting to clamp down on Fang Zheng’s neck, and their razor-sharp claws sought to tear through Fang Zheng’s wings and body. However, quickly, a series of Magic Auras burst forth, and a golden-radiant giant hand once again appeared beside Fang Zheng, blocking the attacks from these Shadow Dragons.

“Huff———!”

As those Shadow Dragons were intercepted, Fang Zheng sharply turned his head and opened his mouth; Breath of Exile sprayed forth once more from his lips, sweeping across like a deluge and slicing the Shadow Dragons in his path in half.

But this was meaningless, for as they were torn apart by Fang Zheng’s Dragon Breath, the bodies of those Shadow Dragons quietly dissipated, and at the same time, two huge black figures pounced from the shadows behind him, descending from the sky and charging toward Fang Zheng.

Darn!

Sensing the huge shadows descending from the sky, Fang Zheng’s heart sank. Just as the Shadow Dragon was about to strike him, its movements suddenly slowed, and at the same time, Fang Zheng’s tail, like a Long Whip cutting through the air, forcefully lashed onto the Shadow Dragon’s body.

“Bang!”

But this time, his tail did not pierce through the Shadow Dragon; instead, it vibrated sharply as if it had hit a hard wall.

Not good!

Sensing the feedback from his tail, Fang Zheng was taken aback, and at the same time, he saw the Shadow Dragon above him with a sinister smile. It then opened its mouth, and in the next moment, a pitch-black torrent enveloped everything before Fang Zheng’s eyes.

Holy Light Barrier!!

Shimmering pure white Radiance quickly assembled in front of Fang Zheng, but in the next moment, the Shadow Breath like a hurricane, engulfed Fang Zheng, spinning him downward. With a “boom,” the transformed Dragon Fang Zheng was smashed into the ground.

“Cough… cough…”

Scrambling up from the ground, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but catch his breath, admitting to himself that although the Shadow Dragon had just entered Legendary Rank as an adult of the Dragon Race, it was still very difficult for him to deal with. In Fang Zheng’s view, the trickiest aspect of this giant dragon was its ability—Shadow.

The Shadow Dragon could at any time create countless clones of itself within the shadows to attack Fang Zheng. Although these shadow clones were as fragile in defense as paper, their Attack Power was quite formidable. Not only that, but what troubled Fang Zheng the most was that the Shadow Dragon could switch willfully between the clone and the true body. Sometimes Fang Zheng felt he had hit the true body, but the opponent would switch with a clone at a critical moment, or sometimes when Fang Zheng thought he was being attacked by a clone, it would suddenly turn out to be the true body.

This made Fang Zheng feel utterly exasperated, and it was fortunate he had the protection of Holy Light, with some Attribute Level restraint, and those Angels also provided a bit of assistance to Fang Zheng; otherwise, he’d likely have been beaten even more miserably.

“You really are strange.”

Looking at Fang Zheng who had climbed up, the Shadow Dragon’s tone was filled with mockery.

“A Giant Dragon capable of releasing Holy Light and Magic, yet has no idea how to use its own body to fight…”

Nonsense, because I am not a dragon in the first place!

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng’s expression grew increasingly ugly, as his opponent had hit his weak point—indeed, Fang Zheng was not at all familiar with using his body to engage in combat with the Dragon Race!

If the current Fang Zheng still had his human body, then he could rely on the skills from the Dark Soul to spar with his opponent, but for Fang Zheng, the Dragon Race’s body was somewhat unfamiliar. If it was about casting spells and Holy Light, that would be fine, but when it came down to close combat, he was essentially powerless against his opponent’s suppression.

Helpless, Fang Zheng’s essence was still that of a human, how could a human know how to fight with tail and claws?

Try turning into a human, Laozi will fight you for three hundred rounds, and if I don’t beat you to a pulp, I’ll write my name backward!

However… since he was human, there were naturally human ways to resolve this.

With this thought, Fang Zheng’s eyes flashed, and he suddenly struggled, but still ended up on the ground. The cold Power of Shadows was flowing over his body, completely sealing his strength. After all, Fang Zheng had not yet broken through the Legendary Rank, and even though the Giant Dragon facing him had only just entered the Legendary Rank, it was still a bit difficult for him to handle.

“That’s enough! Little fellow!”

With the roar of the Shadow Dragon, the shadows around began to thicken once more, swirling like a torrent rushing backwards and encasing Fang Zheng within. Then a Giant Dragon quietly emerged from the shadows, stretching out its front claw and forcefully striking towards Fang Zheng’s head.

And Fang Zheng, pressed against the ground by the Power of Shadows, seemed to sense the dire situation. He struggled to stand to resist the powerful force of his opponent, but was firmly suppressed, only managing to raise his front paws helplessly in defense of his face.

“Futile struggle.”

Seeing Fang Zheng’s response, the Shadow Dragon sneered inwardly. From the battle just now, it had discovered that this odd Dragon Race, though quite capable in Holy Light and magic, was not good at combat intrinsic to the Dragon Race. It didn’t know why, but to the Shadow Dragon, it was irrelevant; as long as it could defeat him, it would prove its strength. By then, this strange kin would become its slave!

With this in mind, the Shadow Dragon no longer hesitated, raising its front paw and forcefully smashing down towards Fang Zheng’s head. It was confident that this strike would completely incapacitate its opponent!

“Bang!!”

However, Fang Zheng still managed to block the strike. Nevertheless, the Shadow Dragon didn’t care since the opponent was already on his last legs. Just one more hit… Huh?

Unexpectedly, just as it hit Fang Zheng’s front paw, the Shadow Dragon suddenly felt a strange surge of magic erupt and penetrate into its body!

What is this!?

Feeling the fleeting magic surge within, the Shadow Dragon immediately spread its wings and flew back, cautiously keeping its distance from Fang Zheng. As a dragon, it certainly sensed that some spell had breached its Magic Resistance Aura and took effect. But what kind of spell was it? A curse? A weakening spell? No, it didn’t seem to be that; what on earth could it be…

Now is the moment!

Watching the Shadow Dragon retreat, a gleam of light flashed in Fang Zheng’s eyes, and he shouted loudly.

“Black Katie!”

Accompanying Fang Zheng’s call, the next moment, a water-blue Radiance descended from the sky.
