Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 496: Chapter 384: Farewell to Litten

In fact.

Xijana was in Verdanturf Town when she received the news, and even if she rushed back at the fastest speed, it was already sunset when she arrived.

So she really wasn’t intentionally waiting for Baimu to resolve everything before showing up.

Moreover, the person she only met once wasn’t worth investing so much trust in. Her grandmother, clansmen, and everything familiar was in Meteor Village, so how could she delegate the responsibility to someone else?

Baimu understood this too. His earlier words were just a tease about her and Lei Gong’s late arrival.

Lei Gong, who inexplicably got jabbed in the spine while having his back to the two of them, rolled his eyes and flicked his lightning-like tail irritably.

Sometimes he really wished he couldn’t understand human language.

This Little Ghost is annoying enough.

Just loves to poke at him.

”Anyway, thank you for saving everyone in Meteor Village.”

Xijana remained full of smiles.

She wouldn’t get angry over a little teasing, not to mention that she had long learned from others what had happened after Rocket Team invaded Meteor Village, and now her heart was filled only with gratitude.

Back when she first met Baimu, Xijana never thought that he would one day save her grandmother.

Thinking back now, was she too aloof then? After all, she was standing in the position of an Inheritor at that time.

Hopefully, she appeared more approachable in his eyes.

Xijana thought to herself.

”It was just my duty.”

Baimu did not claim credit proudly, and after replying, he coughed, ”Sorry, is there anything else you need? I’d like to change my clothes before heading to the Dragon Temple.”

”Ah, nothing else. I just came to thank you.”

Xijana raised her hands innocently, then quickly entered the house and opened the door inside as his eyes watched in confusion, ”...I need to change clothes too. Shall we go together in a bit?”

”...Alright.”

”Give me five minutes.”

With Baimu’s affirmative response, Xijana gently closed the door.

Oh right! This is her house!

Realizing this, Baimu withdrew his gaze, taking off his clothes as he walked to Lei Gong, ”Are you coming?”

Bang!

The lightning-blue tail flicked nimbly.

”If you don’t want to come, you don’t have to hit me.”

He rubbed his calf resentfully, while the big cat gave a look as if to say, ”I didn’t mean to.”

Those big guys’ tails hurt no matter how they flick them unconsciously; for instance, Hydreigon’s tail sometimes unknowingly hits his face, making him not see that day’s Sun.

Having quickly changed clothes, Xijana timely ran over to knock on the door.

”Baimu?”

”I’m coming.”

Baimu calmed the many Pokémon, opened the door, and immediately saw Xijana dressed in a traditional female long dress of the Meteor People, an aura of youthful charm rushing toward him.

Quite different from the previous T-shirt and denim shorts version.

”How is it? Does it look good?”

Xijana lifted her skirt, spinning around with a smug smile.

”Not bad.”

Baimu nodded casually, ”Let’s not keep the Elder waiting any longer, let’s go.”

He closed the door and headed straight for the Dragon Temple.

Xijana watched his back, her expression somewhat odd, but said nothing as she quickly caught up to walk alongside him, ”Seriously, Grandma’s decision kind of disrupted my plans.

”I originally intended for your Super Evolution test and Inheritor test to be conducted together, but now they inevitably have to be split.”

”Inheritor test...”

”Yes, it’s a test every Meteor Person must go through, it’s our birthright duty.” Xijana thought he didn’t want to participate, explained, ”Of course, your situation is quite special, if you don’t want to, it’s okay, everyone will understand.”

”No, I’d be glad to.”

Baimu shook his head, ”But I hope the test can be when I’m free, as I’ve got quite a lot to do.”

As they chatted while walking, they soon arrived at the Dragon Temple.

At this moment.

In the tatami hall they had visited before, numerous Meteor People sat in four rows, conversing softly; at the forefront, the Dragon Elder was holding a wooden box, contemplatively looking down.

Upon seeing Baimu’s arrival, everyone immediately sat upright, and the Dragon Elder slowly stood up.

A rather solemn atmosphere descended at once.

Baimu paused slightly, and Xijana gently pushed him from behind.

”Go ahead, the Elder is waiting for you.”

She switched titles, smiling at him as he turned his head, ”This is the ceremony to grant you the Key Stone and Super Stone, thanking you for your contribution to the Meteor People.”

Baimu, suddenly understanding, stepped forward, his gaze sweeping over all the Meteor People seated on both sides, each nodding to him with kindly faces filled with smiles.

Silent gratitude was conveyed through those pairs of eyes.

No matter how things were before, after this unexpected incident, all the Meteor People recognized Baimu’s identity, whose title was no longer ”an outsider descendant of Dragon Tamers,” but a legitimate ”Meteor Person.”

Amid blessings and gratitude, Baimu arrived in front of the Dragon Elder.

”Child, kneel on one knee.”

The Elder placed a hand on his shoulder, speaking softly.

He knelt on one knee, then heard the Dragon Elder recite a string of incomprehensible words, his hands gently patting Baimu on the head and shoulders.

A moment later.

As applause broke out behind him, he was signaled to stand up.

The Elder murmured, ”Your achievements have surpassed the expected test. In the name of the Elder of the Meteor People, I bestow upon you the heritage of the Meteor People. May you use it wisely, and always remain loyal and kind. May the Dragon God Rayquaza watch over you.”
