Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 458: Chapter 369: Mega Origin (Part 3)

”It’s a small issue! We have more than one dragon with us! And the reason we’re part of the Village Protection Team isn’t just because of dragons, it’s because of other Pokémon.”

Zheng Fang rolled up his sleeve to reveal a spiral bracelet, ”Have you heard of Super Evolution?”

Under the Pokémon Center’s lights, the small Key Stone reflected a colorful glow.

——

Meteor Falls can be considered the birthplace of Super Evolution in the Hoenn Region.

So, the Meteor People living in Meteor Falls are also the force holding the most Key Stones and Super Stones.

Of course.

The Meteor People aren’t numerous enough to have a Key Stone and Super Stone for everyone, plus Super Evolution is a very formidable power, so as the leader, the Dragon Elder strictly controls this strategic resource.

Only the Meteor People recognized by her can obtain or inherit their ancestors’ Key Stones and Super Stones.

Zheng Fang, Eldegoss, and Lian Zuo, though stationed at Meteor Village without traveling, have passed the Dragon Elder’s test and are excellent Dragon Tamers capable of enabling Pokémon Super Evolution.

Other young Dragon Tamers have always greatly admired them.

Seeing Baimu’s curious face, Zheng Fang and the other two enthusiastically pulled him up to take him outside, saying they would show him something.

”Super Evolution is a special ability that occurs when a Pokémon and Trainer form a strong bond, causing the Key Stone and Super Stone to resonate, leading the Pokémon to a higher level of evolution, releasing hidden power.”

Zheng Fang took out a Pokeball and threw it forward.

Pow!

Sparks of light flickered.

A Slowbro, entirely pink with a Shellder biting its tail, appeared.

”Yadon~”

Slowbro stared blankly, uttering a sound indicative of its low intelligence.

”This is my partner, Slowbro.”

Zheng Fang proudly patted its head and confidently said, ”Maybe Garchomp isn’t as good as your Hydreigon, but if it battles your Hydreigon, it definitely won’t stand a chance!”

Meanwhile.

Eldegoss and Lian Zuo also released their Pokémon.

Pow! Pow!

Sparkles flashed in succession.

A small, hunched Sableye and a gigantic horned head exuding an icy aura, a Glalie appeared. The former belonged to Lian Zuo, the latter to Eldegoss.

”Watch closely!”

Zheng Fang’s left hand pressed on the Key Stone on his right wrist, and a brilliant light immediately shone from the Key Stone and Slowbro.

In an instant, the Key Stone emitted several irregular electricity-like energy chains, connecting with the electricity-like chains emanating from the glowing Slowbro!

Its form quickly started to change.

At the same time.

Eldegoss and Lian Zuo also began to make their Pokémon undergo Super Evolution.

Before long.

In front of Baimu appeared a Slowbro with most of its body swallowed by a Shellder, showing only its head, tail, and a pair of front paws; a Mega Sableye with originally blue eyes turned red and holding a prismatic gem shield; and a Mega Glalie with a jaw opened incomparably wide as if dislocated, having a single ice pillar horn growing from its forehead.

All three successfully Super-Evolved Pokémon radiated an extremely powerful aura.

Looking at Mega Slowbro, Baimu, who was somewhat skeptical initially, thought to himself that maybe Zheng Fang wasn’t exaggerating when he said his Hydreigon wouldn’t stand a chance against this guy.

To promote this new system, the animation team has really buffed Super Evolution significantly. Pokémon that didn’t noticeably improve from the Super Evolution sometimes have raised their strength incredibly due to it.

Reaching an exaggerated level far beyond other regular Pokémon.

So, Hydreigon probably doesn’t stand a chance against Mega Slowbro, and might even need to consider carefully when facing Mega Sableye and Mega Glalie.

The two Pokémon, one capable of using the gem in front to bear damage for it, and the other using the most overwhelmingly powerful Frozen Skin Big Explosion attack.

If hit by Mega Glalie’s Big Explosion, Hydreigon likely shouldn’t expect to hold up against it.

Defend might not even work.

However.

Baimu slightly raised his hand, ”I have a question.”

”Go ahead and ask.”

”Why aren’t any of the Pokémon you’ve Super-Evolved Dragon Attribute Pokémon?”

He curiously examined the three Pokémon, ”Since you have Garchomp and Altaria, you should Super Evolve them, right?”

Addressing this.

Zheng Fang and the others became somewhat embarrassed.

”Uh... about this...”

”I know, I know!” The most restless little Dragon Tamer raised his hand, ”Zheng Fang and the others couldn’t compete with the uncles, nor could they contend with Xijana, so they had to settle for the next best! And later on their travels, they couldn’t find the Super Stone for Garchomp either—”

”Shutup, Kapron!

A slightly older Dragon Tamer girl covered his mouth, ”You talk too much!”

Zheng Fang sighed, ”It’s a bit complicated to explain, and you’ll know sooner or later, so I won’t elaborate much here. In short, many times we just don’t have much choice...”

With what Zheng Fang said, Baimu gradually learned of the situation—

Almost every member of the Meteor People wants those few Dragon Attribute Super Stones, but there’s not enough to go around, so those Dragon Attribute Super Stones have long been distributed.

Whenever one became vacant, it would cause a scramble among many Dragon Tamers.

Those who couldn’t get one naturally had to settle for the next best, choosing Super Stones of other attributes, or trying their luck traveling outside the village to find the Super Stone they wanted.

But over the millennia, Meteor People have traveled to nearly every corner of the Hoenn Region. It’s no exaggeration to say they’ve scoured the land, so where could any more Dragon Attribute Super Stones be found?

After hearing Zheng Fang’s rather helpless explanation, Baimu wondered why they wouldn’t go to the Carlos Region to look?

Meanwhile.

He also learned that the Salamence Evolution Stone, which has finally become vacant in recent years, fell into the hands of Xijana.

The latter, as an elite in the young generation of Dragon Tamers, would rank among the top in overall power among all Dragon Tamers. Furthermore, she also had another identity.

”The Inheritor?”
