Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 460: Chapter 370: Will to Evolve (Part 2)

It was once again initiated by Hydreigon.

In this situation—

We definitely have to accept the battle!

”Roar!”

Aggron growled lowly, never afraid of any Pokémon challenging its status. Its strength would prove that its position wasn’t due to the trainer’s favoritism or because it was the first Pokémon, flaunting seniority.

What it possessed was true power!

As the two Pokémon stared each other down, it seemed like fiery rage was going to ignite.

”—Stop!”

Baimu intervened hastily, raising his hand to block their view. Otherwise, even his 1.8-meter height might find it difficult to come between the two Pokémon. ”There’s something in the afternoon, and Hydreigon has fought enough today; too much is as bad as too little!”

Seeing its trainer not allowing it to battle, Hydreigon growled impatiently, ”Grr—”

”Hmm?”

A pair of icy eyes immediately shut Hydreigon’s three mouths tight.

Aggron didn’t mind and turned around to continue feeding the Shiny Feebas. It knew that the trainer merely did not allow battles today.

There was plenty of time.

They wouldn’t be separated from Hydreigon, so there would be a chance sooner or later.

Hydreigon realized this too and continued to give Aggron a taunting look before burying its head into its meal.

You need to be well-fed to have the energy to fight!

After lunch, Galarian Corsola closed its eyes silently, ”Hmm...”

It was a pity there was no fight.

It trusted Aggron quite a bit and was eager to see it beat Hydreigon to vent its grievances—it never lets it go even after evolving.

Every morning it had to take a bite out of it, as if it had a problem.

Porygon worriedly watched Aggron and Hydreigon; it was a bit concerned that a fight would lead to teammates holding grudges, ruining the previously harmonious atmosphere.

”Happy~”

Blissey smiled widely to comfort Porygon, reassuring it that the trainer would certainly coordinate everything perfectly.

Moreover...

If possible, it actually wanted to fight too, not for anything else but to prove itself.

Porygon, feeling a little frightened at the somewhat dark smile of Blissey, quickly saw it change to a warm one, making Porygon feel like it was in an illusion.

On the sofa.

Mawile immersed itself in a pile of plush toys, watching everything in silence, sipping the juice in its arms with ultimate calmness.

So boring~ It wanted to see rivers of blood~!

And when Aggron delivered food to the Shiny Feebas, which had witnessed everything yet could do nothing, the Shiny Feebas looked at it with some concern, ”Blub~”

”Roar~”

Aggron smiled at the Shiny Feebas, indicating there was no need to worry; Hydreigon was nothing it couldn’t handle.

”Blub?”

”Roar!”

The monster and the fish communicated in some strange way.

After the meal, looking at Aggron’s departing figure, the Shiny Feebas couldn’t help but feel worried. At the same time, a feeling it had never experienced before rose in its heart—it was extremely dissatisfied with its current role as a mere spectator.

It wanted to be involved.

Whether it was quarrelling, mediating, or better training for the Gorgeous Competition content with Blissey and Mawile, it no longer had to insist on the waters.

In any case, it no longer wanted this feeling of only watching from behind the glass to persist.

Didn’t the trainer say it could evolve?

As long as its level increased and it became confident, it could evolve into a new form, one that could move on land, right?

The Shiny Feebas was eager to become stronger and evolve. It hoped to wake up tomorrow morning as a different being.

This earnest thought gradually took root and sprouted in its heart.

So much so that when Baimu came to play and be playful with it, he couldn’t quite believe how this once very self-conscious Shiny Feebas suddenly had such high awareness?

But this was a good thing.

”Then let me show you evolution again.” He pulled out a picture of Milotic from his phone and showed it to the Shiny Feebas. ”Look, isn’t it beautiful? If you evolve into this form, I’ll probably have no worries in the upcoming Gorgeous Competition.”

”Blub~”

The Shiny Feebas looked at the phone. In the past, seeing Milotic only made it feel inferior, doubtful of whether it could become that. But now, it only cared if Milotic could really move on land.

Beauty was important too, just like the trainer said. It could be useful in the Gorgeous Competition.

At this moment.

The Shiny Feebas suddenly became a utilitarian, no longer fixated on its own appearance but more concerned about the benefits evolution could bring.

This result was not sudden because the Shiny Feebas’s living environment had changed, from one constantly ridiculed over appearance in the past; to one where everyone strived for the better, not caring about looks, only valuing a heart of gold in the new environment.

Imperceptibly, the Shiny Feebas would sometimes forget it was ugly and plain, lost in the praises from trainers and teammates.

Does appearance matter?

The Shiny Feebas knew it didn’t matter in the eyes of the trainer and its teammates.

Aggron wasn’t taking special care out of pity because it was ugly and self-conscious; it was genuinely friendly and wanted to shoulder some responsibility for the trainer.

Just like Blissey.

Can it really deserve such a good trainer and teammates when all it did was stay in the fish tank or Pokeball, sitting back and enjoying the benefits?
