Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 463: Chapter 371: Meteor Village (Part 2)

Zheng Fang quickly recovered from the shock brought by the Molten Rock Armor and began introducing to Baimu every interesting spot in Meteor Falls.

As the two chatted leisurely, several Wild Pokémon occasionally passed by around them.

For instance, a couple of Zubat flew over their heads, Geodude rolling around with a rumble, and even a group of Clefairy, none of which seemed very afraid of humans.

”They mainly recognize this outfit and know that we won’t harm them.”

Zheng Fang took the initiative to explain Baimu’s confusion.

In the traditional attire of the Meteor People, there is often a symbol resembling a balance, inspired by the markings on Rayquaza. The Ocean Team and Magma Team also use the patterns on Kyogre and Groudon as their emblems.

”What are those seed and tooth-like patterns around the elder’s shoulder?” Baimu gestured around his neck.

Zheng Fang thought for a moment and then realized, ”Ah! You’re talking about the Inheritor’s Cloak. It’s an attire only the Inheritors can have. The Champion’s Cloak unique to the Hoenn Region was derived from it.”

”Ah~”

He nodded to show his understanding.

Shortly, as they progressed, the sound of flowing water, originally just a roar, gradually grew louder. Rounding a corner, a massive cavern waterfall appeared before them.

The scale far exceeded those small waterfalls seen earlier... Or rather, this is what could truly be called a waterfall!

”We’ve arrived! The Dragon Gate Waterfall leading further inside!” Zheng Fang’s voice carried a tinge of excitement.

”Dragon Gate Waterfall?”

”Yes, take a close look at the waterfall there.”

Following Zheng Fang’s guidance, Baimu looked toward the waterfall and instantly saw several large, bright red fish falling from the high point of the waterfall, with several others slapping their tails as they charged upward.

And within the rushing river emitting a brilliant blue glow, a multitude of Magikarp were swimming back and forth.

”Whoa!”

In the front river, many Barboach could be seen, but here were only Magikarp? And this behavior...

”The Magikarp gather here to push against the current, reaching the top of the waterfall. The Magikarp that succeeds is believed by us to definitely evolve into a Gyarados!”

Zheng Fang softly said, ”So it’s ’Fish Leaping the Dragon Gate,’ the Dragon Gate Waterfall!”

”I didn’t expect such a legend.”

Baimu looked at the Magikarp eagerly leaping, surprised that they have such a habit... it’s practically helping Dragon Tamers select outstanding Magikarp individuals!

If you want a Magikarp guaranteed to evolve into Gyarados, just wait for it up there.

Suddenly.

He recalled his own Shiny Feebas.

Though this is the Dragon Gate Waterfall showcasing Magikarp leaping, this fellow’s evolution is at least related to the Dragon Egg Group, kind of linked to dragons.

Moreover, the concept of the ugly duckling turning into a white swan is similar to the Fish Leaping the Dragon Gate!

This might be a good place to cultivate the Shiny Feebas’s confidence.

Baimu silently noted the Dragon Gate Waterfall, planning to bring the Shiny Feebas here to try after patrolling with Zheng Fang. With the strength of the Shiny Feebas, this waterfall shouldn’t be any problem.

”Not bad, not bad.”

He nodded his head.

Beside him, Zheng Fang smiled with satisfaction.

The two ventured further into the depths of Meteor Falls, quickly arriving at a section where the top rock layer was in disrepair, allowing plenty of brilliant sunlight to pour down.

The meteor craters on the ground became denser.

What surprised Baimu more was that at one large meteor crater, a group of round, orange Pokémon resembling the sun were basking in the sunlight.

But for some reason, a yellow light was flashing intermittently at the center of the crater.

”Ah! A new Solrock is about to be born, was it caused by the meteor that fell a few days ago?”

Zheng Fang exclaimed in a low voice, pulling Baimu to a stop, whispering, ”It’s best not to disturb them. Normally, Solrock are very gentle, but they become fierce when a new member is born, especially under the sunlight where they are particularly powerful.”

”Oh?”

The latter showed an expression of interest, mainly curious about the birth of Solrock mentioned by Zheng Fang. In the game, any genderless Pokémon can breed with a Ditto.

But in reality, it’s quite challenging for many genderless Pokémon to find a Ditto partner, so how are they born?

Baimu wanted to take a closer look, but from this angle, he couldn’t see inside the crater. Yet, Zheng Fang insistently stated that getting too close would result in being chased and attacked.

Forget it.

Listening to advice ensures a full stomach.

He and Zheng Fang observed from a distance.

Before long, they saw the Solrock surrounding the craters absorbing sunlight, suddenly emitting a ray towards the yellow light inside the crater.

After a while.

The yellow light was replaced by white light, and a smaller Solrock floated out of the crater. The other Solrock, seeing this new member, spun happily in place.

”... That’s it?” he whispered.

”Yes.”

Zheng Fang nodded, ”Whenever a special part of a meteorite falls, they surround it during the day and release some kind of ray to create new companions, though it doesn’t succeed every time.”

”Special meteorites... they are Pokémon born from meteorites?”

”No, they are Pokémon born with the help of meteorites. We’ll go have a look when they leave.”

Just as the words fell.

The Solrock appeared to notice Zheng Fang and Baimu, the Garchomp and Mawile beside them being more conspicuous, yet they did not attack and instead left quietly.

Allowing the two to get closer.

Baimu immediately saw a grayish stone lying in the center of the crater, ”... Meteorite?”
