Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 484: Chapter 377: Bomb-Making Talent (10,000-Word Chapter!)(6)

However, halfway through the wooden ship’s journey, something from the seabed suddenly gouged a big hole in it.

[You see the big hole and unhesitatingly throw a Frozen Bullet. With the hull frozen, the water stops leaking, and you breathe a sigh of relief. But you celebrated too early; the true culprit that attacked the wooden ship reveals itself, very angrily—]

As Baimu guessed, it was Dhelmise, a Ghost-type Pokémon whose body is made of seaweed that reincarnates by collecting parts of sunken ships.

For a female student without Water-type Pokémon, it was undoubtedly the worst opponent—at least before the Frozen Bullet.

[With the aid of the Frozen Bullet, you successfully create a platform for you and your Pokémon to stand on.]

Wow.

It seems any bullet can come in handy at the crucial moment.

Ordinary Wild Pokémon naturally cannot hinder the determined female student. She directly ended by using Alola Ninetales’ Ice Z [Frenzy Earth Ten Thousand Miles Ice] to defeat Dhelmise and capture it.

[You’ve captured Dhelmise, adding a handy weapon to your arsenal.]

Wait a minute!?

A handy weapon?

Baimu carefully read the narration twice, confirming he hadn’t seen wrong, yet how is this large ship’s anchor handy?

While pondering, the female student on the screen had already spun Dhelmise around and, after a sudden release, smashed the ice layer beside the wooden ship without harming it at all. She then used a bomb to blast a passage for the ship to navigate through.

Such accuracy and strength...

Ah, youth.

Baimu rubbed his face, very curious about how the female student trained, transforming from a girl who panted while running at school into a passionate ultimate form youth.

Unfortunately, he ultimately would not get the answer.

With Dhelmise’s traction, the female student smoothly arrived at Coconut Egg Tree Island and, upon seeing the King of the Island Sovu, handed over a blue-violet flower.

[You realize the final grand test is approaching, feeling extremely excited. Sovu also acknowledges that you passed the test and agrees to begin the grand test with you.]

The final grand test begins.

Just like his granddaughter, Sovu is a Trainer skilled in using Ground Attribute Pokémon and chooses a four-on-four single battle.

For the female student, this is equivalent to the same Attribute, so the Three-word Truth is hard to trigger.

Sure enough.

Without her talent boost, the female student had a tough battle, but fortunately, she had solid fundamentals, so even without the Three-word Truth, she managed to turn the tables.

First, by relying on Mimikyu, she defeated Palossand and Flygon, taking down two opponents early.

Next, when Mimikyu was defeated by Gastrodon, she used Shiinotic to go down together, taking out the third opponent.

Letting Decidueye face off against Sovu’s Spectrier.

The latter didn’t hesitate and used the Ground Attribute Z-Move—[Earthquake Roar Celestial Grand Finale], launching a meteor-like huge rock occupying half the screen at Decidueye.

The female student responded with her specialty [Bursting with Colorful Flowers].

The two Z-Moves collided, making Baimu’s screen white for a full ten seconds. When the white light faded, what appeared first was Decidueye, its body emitting a green glow.

Using the girl’s favorite Grass Attribute move [Seed Bomb], it launched like a feather and defeated Mudsdale.

[You defeated the King of Poni Island, Sovu, and obtained Decidueye Z; you completed all the grand tests, ready to start the ultimate test.]

There really is an ultimate test!

Baimu was quite surprised by this and didn’t expect Sovu to hand over Decidueye Z to the female student.

Unlike Mimikyu Z, Decidueye Z can be used without a Z-Power Bracelet.

News of the female student completing all the grand tests and about to undertake the ultimate test quickly spread across the four islands, becoming known to others.

Many people came looking for the female student.

However, at that moment, she chose to avoid the crowd and find a place to close off and further improve her strength.

[You learn from your predecessors that the ultimate test requires you to consecutively battle the four Kings of the Island without interruption. Although you can attempt it again if you fail, you can only challenge once a year.]

So that’s how it is, it seems like the final grade is determined by the ultimate test.

Baimu nodded. However, a gauntlet like that places exceptionally high demands on the Pokémon’s strength... At least able to fight past one King of the Island, but the second one becomes uncertain...

On the screen.

The reappearance of Tapu Koko caught his attention. Previously, this Earth God arranged for the Overlord Salazzle to act in a script. This time, it still didn’t show up openly but took advantage of the female student’s sleep to transform her Z Bracelet into a Z-Power Bracelet.

Leaving the female student bewildered upon waking up the next day.

[Looking at the changed appearance capable of inlaying Mimikyu Z into the Z-Power Bracelet, you have no idea what happened and only after inquiring with King of the Island Hara did you understand that it was probably a gift from Earth God Tapu Koko. You’re very happy and express gratitude to its statue.]

After obtaining the Z-Power Bracelet, the female student trained even more diligently.

Finally.

The moment of the ultimate test arrived.

The location chosen was the peak of Lanakila Mountain, where the female student had visited before.

The battle sequence started with the King of Melemele Island, Hara, yet this time the Pokémon they released were much stronger than during the initial grand test.
