Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 477: Chapter 376: Consecutive Battles Against Overlords (Part 2)

He thought to himself that this person indeed had a bit of kindness at heart, but not much.

[You captured a Morelull, increasing the members providing bomb materials]

As expected.

He guessed the reason the female student was eager for the Morelull was definitely not because it shared the Grass Attribute with Rowlet; she was eyeing its Hypnotic Spores.

On the other hand, the female student continued ahead and quickly found an exit.

The reason being Rowlet suddenly smelled a strong fruit fragrance, and much like the Trainer’s personality, it flew over without hesitation.

The female student chased after it frantically and successfully came face to face with the Dominant Lurantis holding a bunch of Tree Fruits.

[You have discovered the Dominant Pokémon Lurantis, a battle is about to begin]

Lurantis is a Pokémon with a strong territorial sense and an even stronger offensive instinct. After becoming a Dominant Pokémon, it also takes on the responsibility of facing challengers. Now that it locked eyes with the female student, it was impossible to pretend not to see them.

However.

The female student was originally looking for the Dominant Pokémon, so even though the Dominant Lurantis unleashed its Overlord Aura and exuded an extremely fierce demeanor, she was not afraid. She even proactively sent Rowlet to confront it.

The battle officially began.

The Dominant Lurantis doesn’t have many moves, but each one had immense power due to the boost of the Overlord Aura, especially its Sunlight Blade, which was a terrifying attack spanning across the entire screen like a Light Beam Weapon.

Each attack forced Rowlet and the female student to desperately dodge.

Even more annoying was that it called for help—a Castform—which created a sunny day that greatly reduced the time it took for the Dominant Lurantis to release the Sunlight Blade, turning its intermittent beams into continuous ones.

But fortunately, the female student was smart. Seeing that the Dominant Lurantis called in reinforcements, she herself released Mimikyu.

Both sides had two on two.

This sort of operation is definitely not doable in the game, even if the opposing side called in help, you can only have one on your side.

Baimu never thought that as soon as Mimikyu appeared, the female student would instantly turn the tables. The reason being Rowlet grabbed Mimikyu’s ”head” to enhance its agility, and the inner contents of Mimikyu were seen by the upward-tilted Castform.

This scared it into falling from mid-air on the spot.

”There’s such a method...”

Baimu, outside the screen, was speechless, while the Dominant Lurantis, within the screen, was shocked. In that moment of hesitation, the female student caught it and immediately activated the recently acquired Flying Z.

[Supersonic Dive Bombing]!!

The massive special effect text appeared on the screen, and after the text disappeared, a huge fiery red bird occupying half the screen with its wing span crashed into the Dominant Lurantis with a boom.

When the bubbles disappeared, the Dominant Lurantis had already fainted to the ground.

The Castform, whose soul was nearly taken across the Sanzu River, wobbled as it flew up, only to see the situation of the Dominant Lurantis lying flat, and was consequently taken down.

The small trial challenge in the Shady Jungle was successful.

Turning around, the two fallen Pokémon were revived by the female student using the extra Revival Herb on her, the bitter taste shocking them awake instantly.

The Grass Z she longed for was tearfully handed over to the female student by the Dominant Lurantis.

[You have defeated the Dominant Lurantis and obtained the Grass Z]

And at the moment of obtaining the Grass Z, Rowlet was enveloped in a white light.

”Yikes!”

Baimu’s eyes widened, the Pokémon that ranked in the top three of the ”Pokémon he least wants to evolve” list was about to evolve!

If it weren’t through a screen, he definitely would have persuaded the female student directly, she was about to pass up on her second Pokémon with the Painted Skin Trait!

Such a pity.

[Your Rowlet evolved into Dartrix]

Seeing that owl Pokémon with a hairstyle somewhat resembling Phoenix Wright’s prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, Baimu felt a bit of regret.

The scene accelerated once more.

The female student returned to the camp with the Miracle Seed found in the Dominant Lurantis’s nest and was inevitably scolded by the group leader teacher.

But given her good attitude in admitting her mistake—constantly apologizing without talking back—and her safety, the scolding was very mild.

Back in the dormitory, the female student began interacting with the new team member, the hapless Morelull.

The Morelull, who was captured inexplicably, was certainly not easy to accept her, even starting to suck out her Life Energy with its roots, to which she didn’t mind, letting it suck away.

Then she began collecting the Mushroom Spores of Morelull by herself, collapsing halfway through due to exhaustion.

Physical strength was always the weak point of the female student, and from the ellipsis popping out atop Morelull’s head, it was clear that this fellow was also somewhat confused by her operation.

With this mutual need-driven ”bond,” their relationship indeed improved a bit.

Believing it’s only a matter of time for a close relationship to develop.

The scene gradually dimmed.

When it lit up again, the female student arrived at a vast ranch of Miltank and Mudbray and met an old man with black and white hair.

Unquestionably, this was Kaqi’s grandfather.

Lizi’s previous King of Akala Island.

[You arrive at the Paniola Ranch on your day of free activities to meet the Island King of Akala Island, requesting him to give you a trial, to which he agreed—the content being to uncover the true identity of the ’King of the Ocean’ at the Gurgling Hill]

Gurgling Hill? King of the Ocean?

Wasn’t it the pond overlord in the animation?

Regardless of the title, it referred to the Dominant Wishiwashi—the school form.

Baimu thought the trial would be on Vela Volcano, encountering the Dominant Salazzle or Dominant Marowak, and did not expect this kind of test.
