Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 486: Chapter 378: Flying Saddle

[Hot-blooded Youth] Talent isn’t worth keeping.

At least without a matching Blue Talent, Baimu was well aware that the negative effects of this talent outweighed its positive effects.

Not everyone is as lucky and resourceful as the schoolgirl.

Besides, the schoolgirl is already reckless enough.

She blindly chose rewards one, two, and three.

”Brave Bird Assault... a move that no one can learn for now.”

Baimu stretched lazily and called over Mawile, who was lounging on the other sofa watching cartoons and enjoying red tea and cookies.

”Chi-do?”

Mawile furrowed its brow, a bit impatiently shifting its seat, eager to watch ”Persian and Rattata.”

In the latest episode, Rattata’s cousin, Alolan Rattata, has arrived and is about to give Persian a good thrashing, the highlight of the plot!

”Here’s a little gift for you, for working so hard these days.” He patted its head, transferring Level 3 into it.

Mawile swatted his hand away in annoyance but soon felt a new surge of power within.

It couldn’t help but smile broadly.

”Chi-do!”

If it weren’t too shy, it would definitely give its trainer a kiss.

”As long as you’re happy, go ahead.” Baimu waved his hand, not wanting to disrupt Mawile’s good mood.

For various reasons, Mawile had been the least rewarded in terms of levels, whether Level 50 or 70, mostly relying on its own talent to level up over time.

Now that Hydreigon has finally evolved, it’s time to let it enjoy a bit more.

At present.

Following the principle of balancing work and rest, after days of intense training, whether there’s progress or not, he lets his Pokémon enjoy themselves for a day or two, doing what they love, and also gives himself a break.

Today was a day of relaxation.

From his current viewpoint, he first saw the fish tank occupied by the Shiny Feebas, with the Galarian Corsola attempting to return to its previous ultimate lazy state.

It’s said that being underwater keeps it calm, though the truth of that is unknown.

Before they had a fish tank, the Galarian Corsola would either be in the kitchen sink or a bucket or basin, never picky.

Pretty nice.

Next was Mawile beside him, watching TV and snacking; though there’s a large plate of cookies in front of it, that’s actually its weekly ration.

If not strictly supervised, this ”sweet destroyer” would surely eat it all up and have two more big bowls at night.

Oh, and the red tea too.

As long as Baimu keeps brewing, it keeps drinking, with a body not large yet its stomach likened to a bottomless pit, earning it another title—Red Tea Devourer.

The amusing part is that despite this cow-like way of drinking, it doesn’t stop it from discerning good or bad quality tea.

In the unreachable kitchen, Blissey happily cooked, and Baimu can ignore the TV sound to hear the chopping noises from the knife hitting the cutting board.

Perhaps before, Blissey learned to cook to ease the trainer’s burden, now it has another reason—

It likes it.

Baimu was relieved that Blissey found joy in cooking rather than stress, and tasting its food always revealed Blissey’s heartfelt emotions.

Outside the veranda on the grassland, bamboo forest, and flower clusters, Aggron was watering flowers and trees with a bucket and hose, helping with trimming too.

The Shiny Feebas just stayed in the bucket, not much help but fun to watch.

Further away, Porygon raced back and forth like a remote-controlled car, chased by a pack of Bagon like village wild dogs, not sure whose they were, as no Meteor People were in sight.

Thus.

The problem arose.

Where did that clingy Hydreigon go?

[Dragon Nest].

Firmly sent by Baimu, as the only Dragon-type Pokémon in the team, not going to the Dragon Nest would be a pity.

Not necessarily to become the king of the dragon nest like Xiaozhi’s Charizard, just to meet other dragons, laying the foundation for finding suitable Dragon Pokémon later.

Learning anything would be great; if not, it’s about nurturing independence.

Being too clingy isn’t good.

Baimu specifically asked if Zheng Fang Dragon Nest welcomed foreign dragons, and without hesitation, they let his Garchomp lead Hydreigon over, likely for it to integrate into the Dragon Nest.

After all, Hydreigon was quite powerful, and strong Dragon-type Pokémon are undoubtedly more welcomed.

”I wonder how it’s doing now...”

Though he personally sent it away, he couldn’t help but worry, ”Should I... sneak over to check it out? No, its nose is so sharp it’d definitely notice if I got close, better wait until it’s almost dark.”

Baimu checked the time, then went to another sofa to hold Mawile and watch TV together for a while, then went to the kitchen to sample Blissey’s dishes.

Next, commanding Aggron with pruning shears to create a Pokémon shape, and joined Porygon to cosplay as racing brothers, finally helping Aggron and Shiny Feebas deal with the trees, flowers, and plants, going swimming together at the nearby small river.

Rest day was still busy and joyful.

Interacting with Pokémon is like petting a cat, always uplifting the mood, as it’s a mutual effort between them, rarely a one-sided affair.

Isn’t it worth being happy to see a Pokémon whose eyes are full of you?

At least Baimu is very happy.

During lunch, he called over the Giant Steelix from Pyrite Town, and after lunch, he helped it clean its shiny steel body with sand and a brush, then sat on its head and flew around aimlessly.

It’s not that he wants to show off in front of the Meteor People, the village is full of knowledgeable elders, so there’s no point in showing off.

It’s just that you can’t hide such a large Giant Steelix if you don’t let it fly. Standing over ten meters tall in a place like Meteor Village, with mostly one and a half story houses, it’s like a monster towering over Japan’s Showa Era.

Might as well just be yourself and do what you want.

However.

Flying in the sky is a bit conspicuous, so the Giant Steelix only carried the Trainer when it flew out, but within half an hour, it was carrying a group of young Dragon Tamers.

The little ghosts who just got out of school happened to see the Mega Steelix dancing in the sky, and couldn’t help but chase after it while shouting.

With no choice, Baimu, after getting the Steelix’s consent, took them for a ride.

In fact, carrying human children is something the Steelix does quite often in the Rainbow Team. Setting aside its fierce appearance and the pressure from its size, there’s hardly a child in the Rainbow Team who doesn’t like it.

Shanren also told Baimu that the Rainbow Team, especially those members from Cyan Iridium Street and Quicksand Team, regard the Steelix as the ”leader” and a guardian left behind for them.

Even though that day has already passed for more than three months, many people haven’t forgotten the voice that led the Pokémon in its reversal.

Perhaps the foreign Mr. Champion contributed more, but for many in the Rainbow Team, the sense of identity Baimu gave them is different.

So the existence of the Steelix is revered by many people.

Some former friends believed that the Steelix is the proof that Baimu hasn’t abandoned them.

Love for the house extends even to the crows on its roof?

Perhaps that’s the right answer.

”Be careful!” Baimu shouted towards the Steelix in the sky.

”Roar~”

The Mega Steelix responded with a low roar, and today it counts as guest-starring as a school bus, carrying a group of schoolchildren romping around.

There are also many Altaria and Flygon flying alongside, with Swablu and Vibrava on the outer edges.

”Such a large flying squadron...”

Baimu looked up at the sky, used his hand to block the sunlight, and suddenly felt someone pat his arm.

He turned around to find a smiling elderly person holding a strange brown product in his hand. After looking twice, he recognized it as a special saddle for Hydreigon.

”Ah! Thank you, Grandpa!”

Baimu happily accepted.

Yesterday, led by Zheng Fang, he sought out Elder Qingshan, the best craftsman in Meteor Village, to see if he could make a saddle for Hydreigon to make riding it easier.

To be honest, he didn’t have much hope.

Even though Hydreigon was excited after knowing the reason, its body size really isn’t suitable for riding.

Unexpectedly, the elder measured his and Hydreigon’s size, said nothing, and locked himself in the workshop, then within a day successfully made it.

After flipping through it on hand, Baimu confirmed it would definitely be useful.

”Hohohoho...”

Elder Qingshan still didn’t speak, just chuckled and turned away. Zheng Fang said this is his natural character, always saying less and doing more, and he’s been like that since he was young.

And understandably, the saddle was not charged for, leaving Baimu pondering how he should return the favor.

Guess I’ll make some food and send it over.

He finds that food is the only thing he can gift people without getting rejected.

”Time to set off!”

Baimu shouted at the Steelix in the sky.

There’s still another little one to pick up after school.

Although it’s only three o’clock in the afternoon, the flying speed of the Giant Steelix is really not fast, so it’ll take a long time to get from Meteor Village to the Dragon Nest. Better go early so the kid doesn’t get too anxious waiting.

But even if it’s late, it’ll come back with the dragon flock, right?

Many Dragon-type Pokémon from Meteor Village go to Dragon Nest during the day and leisurely fly back in groups at night, repeating every day.

”Roar!”

In midair, the Steelix responded before descending rapidly, giving the young Dragon Tamers a near bungee-jumping weightlessness experience, and they exclaimed and burst into laughter.

Even the youngest little girl, Youzi, wasn’t scared but laughed saying ”try again, try again”, as if she were at a theme park.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t have her wish.

Baimu shooed down the disappointed little ghosts, announcing that the game was over for the day, then crouched on Steelix’s head to fetch Aggron and other Pokémon from his residence, urging it to fly towards Meteor Falls.

He hadn’t forgotten about Rocket Team’s matters, so he had to rather ruthlessly end their rest day temporarily.

Continue once they come back.

Of course, the Pokémon won’t have any opinions, without the Trainer around, they can’t play with peace of mind, might as well follow and wait for Hydreigon to ”finish school”.

A bunch of companions going to greet it definitely gives Hydreigon some face.
