Chapter 483: Chapter 377: Bullet Crafting Talent

Finally.

The Alolan Sandshrew rescued their eggs and were healed by the Healing Bullet from the female student after suffering injuries.

[You received gratitude from the Alolan Sandshrew. They gave you an Ice Z, and after bidding them farewell, you suddenly discovered a Pokémon Egg they left behind on the ground, but they were long gone.]

The female student held the Pokémon Egg, waiting for the Alolan Sandshrew to return, but still saw no sign of them and stood bewildered in the cave with Mimikyu.

Perhaps due to the impact from earlier, an exit opened up not far from her, and she finally crawled out of the icy cave, finding an Ice Stone among the collapsing rocks.

[You received an Ice Stone]

”What kind of luck is this?”

Baimu was at a loss for words.

However, even though the female student’s luck was almost maxed out, she was not spared by the leading teacher who arrived promptly. She was scolded thoroughly and told not to run around next time but to wait for rescue in place.

Surprisingly, that night the Pokémon Egg hatched, but it wasn’t an Alolan Sandshrew.

[Your Pokémon Egg hatched into an Alolan Vulpix, adding a new source of material to the team.]

What the... new material...

What kind of bullet can an Alolan Vulpix make? A Frozen Bullet?

As Baimu pondered, the scene showed the female student sneaking out of the dormitory in the middle of the night, trying to find the parents of the Alolan Vulpix by returning to the previous cave.

Clearly, the female student did not think the Pokémon Egg, just because she saw it hatch, should belong to her.

But the connection between them was too strong. Even after staying on Ula Ula Island for a week, she couldn’t find the parents of the Alolan Vulpix.

So she had to take it and raise it herself.

As the female student left Ula Ula Island, a Pokémon that looked like a cow but only had a head and front hooves quietly appeared, watching her depart.

”It’s you! Tapu Bulu!”

Seeing Tapu Bulu, Baimu immediately concluded that the family party was this figure’s handiwork, as only these Island Gods loved to meddle with others’ affairs.

The scene returned to the school.

The female student continued training herself and her Pokémon, successfully evolving the Alolan Vulpix into an Alolan Ninetales with the Ice Stone.

[Your Alolan Vulpix evolved into an Alolan Ninetales. Watching its magical ability to turn its fur into Ice Shards, you showed a thoughtful expression.]

[You successfully created a Frozen Bullet]

Brilliant!

Baimu clapped gently.

With five Pokémon partners and both Healing Bullet and Frozen Bullet ready, a well-prepared female student boarded the ferry to Poni Island.

[You realize that you are just one step away from completing the final challenge, feeling both excited and eager.]

[You arrived at the Village of Ocean Dwellers and found King of the Island Sovu.]

The female student found the King of the Island Sovu at a rather unassuming fishing village pier. He was actually the grandfather of the future Island Queen, Hapu.

The old man had already heard about the brilliant challenger from the previous three Island Kings and, unlike Modan, did not trouble her and gave her a trial.

[You accepted the trial from King of the Island Sovu—to go to Poni Garden and collect what you think is the largest blue-violet flower.]

This trial could be said to be the simplest one the female student had ever experienced.

Baimu was also surprised that she wasn’t sent to Poni Canyon to battle the Overlord Kommo-o—perhaps Sovu saw her so full of fighting spirit and decided to go easy on her?

Soon.

He realized this was not the case, or rather, Poni Garden was not much simpler than Poni Canyon.

Waiting for her in the garden was the Overlord Ribombee, which not only had two companions—Blissey and Pelipper—but its Overlord Aura was much stronger than before.

[You saw the Overlord Ribombee, and its aura indicated it’s very powerful.]

The female student sent out Decidueye, but it was nearly taken down by the Overlord Ribombee’s [Pollen Team], as the assistance from Blissey, combined with the Overlord Aura, boosted the power of Pollen Team to the extreme.

Luckily, she noticed the scale of Pollen Team felt wrong, so she quickly switched Decidueye out and sent in Mimikyu, which could resist Bug Attribute moves by four times.

This kept them out of danger.

But the strength of the Overlord Ribombee was genuine, forcing the female student to exhaust her tactics, first taking down Blissey and Pelipper, then using Decidueye’s Brave Bird Assault converted into [Supersonic Dive Bombing] to defeat it successfully.

[You look at the fallen Overlord Ribombee, immensely grateful that you came here after training, as you definitely couldn’t have beaten it in your previous state.]

[You received the Fairy Z from the Overlord Ribombee.]

The female student used two Healing Bullets on all three Pokémon, healing most of their injuries. Not only that, but her Ribombee also learned a lot of battle experience from the Overlord Ribombee, in both attacks and healing.

Turning back, the female student returned to the Village of Ocean Dwellers with what she believed was the largest blue-violet flower.

But Sovu was not there.

[You learned from talking with villagers that Sovu is on Exeggutor Island, and you need to go there to complete the final challenge. However, everyone’s boats have algae tangled in the propellers, so they can only lend you a boat with oars.]

Algae?

Baimu was initially taken aback, but immediately saw the female student forced to become a rower, shouting chants as she headed toward Exeggutor Island. Thankfully, she had been training her body; otherwise, there would be no way she could sustain the effort.
