Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”You’re planning to develop a new technique again?”

Tsunade asked curiously.

This brat was always secretly coming up with new techniques she had never seen before, without her knowing.

”Mm, you could count it as a new technique.”

Seiryū nodded.

Then said, ”During the Rōran mission last time, I think I figured out the method for injecting chakra nature into the Rasengan. I’ve been planning to research it recently.”

Tsunade’s memory had been sealed by Minato.

So naturally, Seiryū did not bring up the matter of the ”other timeline”.

Seiryū continued, ”There’s another thing too. After the Dragon Vein chakra went berserk, I gained a special sensory-type ninjutsu. It was probably brought about by the Dragon Vein chakra!”

As for Kakushitsuijaku.

Seiryū intended to make people associate it with the Uzumaki clan’s Mind’s Eye of the Kagura.

”Oh, that move.”

Tsunade nodded.

She also had a very deep impression of Rasenshuriken.

It was very strong.

Before, after the Dragon Vein chakra had gone berserk, Seiryū had also tried to use it once.

But at that time, Seiryū had failed.

The sealing of memories only blurred the matter of the ”other timeline,” so it was normal that Seiryū still retained the memory of Rasenshuriken.

He had only forgotten certain factors...

”What sensory-type ninjutsu?”

Afterward, Tsunade became curious about the special sensory-type ninjutsu Seiryū had mentioned.

She pressed further, ”Wasn’t the Dragon Vein chakra sealed inside the Yin Seal? How could it still have any effect on you?”

”I’m not too sure about that either.”

Seiryū answered vaguely a couple of times. ”Once my injuries recovered and I could move chakra again, I noticed it right away.”

”I never learned any sensory-type ninjutsu, so if I suddenly have a sensory technique, then the only possible factor is the Dragon Vein chakra!”

If you asked, the answer was that he did not know.

Let them fill in the gaps themselves!

Tsunade fell silent for a moment, as if thinking something over.

In the end, she seemed to realize something, and her eyes flashed slightly.

Then she smiled at Seiryū and said, ”I probably know what’s going on. This sensory-type ninjutsu of yours is probably not because of the Dragon Vein chakra, but because of the Uzumaki clan’s special sensory ability, called Mind’s Eye of the Kagura!”

Based on Seiryū’s explanation.

She judged that this sensory-type ninjutsu had nothing to do with Dragon Vein chakra.

Instead, he had awakened the Uzumaki clan’s special sensory-type ability called Mind’s Eye of the Kagura!

”Mind’s Eye of the Kagura?”

Seiryū inwardly gave Tsunade a thumbs-up.

But on the surface, he started acting. ”What kind of technique is that? Kushina-neesan never told me the Uzumaki clan had this kind of sensory-type ninjutsu.”

”It’s normal that she wouldn’t know.”

Tsunade explained, ”Even within the Uzumaki clan, only a small number of people awaken Mind’s Eye of the Kagura.”

”It’s similar to your special constitution. In other words, it’s more like a ’kekkei genkai,’ only those who awaken it can use it.”

Her source of information was her own grandmother, Uzumaki Mito.

Having an elder in the family was like having a treasure.

Mito knew far more about the Uzumaki clan than Kushina did.

After all, Tsunade had grown up hearing about it from childhood!

”Oh, I really am amazing, I awakened another ’kekkei genkai.’”

Seiryū’s expression remained calm, completely unbothered, as if it were only natural.

Then he looked at Tsunade. ”Speaking of which, you also have Uzumaki blood, but you don’t seem to use many Uzumaki clan techniques. Did you never learn them?”

Tsunade also possessed Uzumaki blood.

Yet he had hardly ever seen her use any Uzumaki clan techniques at all.

What a waste of that bloodline!

Tsunade: ”...”

He really knew how to poke where it hurt!

Did he really think that just because someone had Uzumaki blood, they would naturally have talent in sealing techniques?

”It’s not that I didn’t learn, it’s that my talent for sealing techniques isn’t very good.”

Tsunade lightly knocked Seiryū on the head and explained, ”It took me a very long time just to learn the Yin Seal, measured in years. After Mito-obaa-sama passed away, I couldn’t be bothered to learn any other sealing techniques.”

It was not that she had refused to learn, it was that her talent really was not very good!

And on top of that, she was more suited to fighting with taijutsu, so she could not be bothered to learn other ninjutsu.

Seiryū shook his head. ”You clearly have both Senju and Uzumaki blood, yet it’s one thing that you can’t use Wood Release, but you’re not even proficient in sealing techniques.”

”You’re really too lame, bad woman. Aside from being pretty and having some skill in medical ninjutsu, everything else...”

This really was worth complaining about.

In a world that valued bloodlines so heavily, Tsunade possessed two absurdly powerful bloodlines.

Yet she lived like an ordinary shinobi.

Only her looks and her medical ninjutsu were somewhat acceptable...

She really deserved to be roasted!

Tsunade: ”...”

Her teeth were itching with anger!

”Just developing a medical ninjutsu like Creation Rebirth already makes me a genius. Who exactly are you looking down on!”

”I know, a genius in medical ninjutsu, right? As if I’m not one too. Didn’t I also develop Kaidō? And mine works even better!”

Tsunade really could not refute that.

Anyone compared to this brat in terms of talent would seem ordinary.

Even her Second Hokage grandfather, Senju Tobirama, would be the same when compared with Seiryū in ninjutsu talent...

Seiryū then asked something he had always been curious about. ”Speaking of which, bad woman, have you never thought about awakening Wood Release?”

”You are the First Hokage’s granddaughter after all. Maybe if you found the right method, you could awaken Wood Release!”

Not counting the heretical method of transplanting the First Hokage’s cells.

It seemed that by the time of Boruto, someone really had awakened Wood Release.

The female member of Konohamaru’s three-man squad, Kazamatsuri Moegi!

Mm.

He just did not know how she awakened it, and Boruto did not seem to mention it either?

Tsunade shook her head. ”Even my second grandfather couldn’t find a way to awaken Wood Release, do you really think I can?”

Leaving aside ancient times.

Just from the Warring States era onward, in the whole Senju clan, only her grandfather Senju Hashirama had awakened the Wood Release kekkei genkai.

Even the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama, could not figure out a way to awaken Wood Release.

That was also why she had cared so much when she learned that another shinobi in Konoha possessed Wood Release!

It was just that.

During this past month or so, she had been secretly investigating that ”Wood Release shinobi,” yet had found absolutely nothing.

She had already started thinking it might just be a difference between ”different timelines.”

After all, in that ”other timeline,” there also did not seem to be someone like Seiryū?

So another timeline having a Wood Release shinobi was not impossible to understand.

Of course, she would still continue investigating this matter in secret!

”That’s true. Aside from medical ninjutsu, where you have talent, you’re pretty lacking in everything else.”

Seiryū nodded slightly, agreeing with Tsunade’s words. ”It probably won’t be long before I surpass you.”

Tsunade had already raised her fist, smiling without warmth. ”Try belittling me one more time, brat!?”

”Don’t hit me.”

Seiryū took a step back.

Then continued, ”But on this point, I do have an idea. Do you think a kekkei genkai can be transplanted into someone else? After all, in medical ninjutsu, organ transplantation is possible...”

If Tsunade were to awaken Wood Release.

What kind of scene would that be?

Just thinking about it made him curious!

His relationship with Tsunade was very close, and now that Tsunade would not leave Konoha, she would definitely take part in the Third Shinobi World War.

Then naturally, the stronger Tsunade was, the better.

If Tsunade accidentally died during the Third Shinobi World War, Seiryū felt that he would not be able to accept that either.

He probably would not go as far as turning dark, but he would definitely think of every possible way to revive her.

That would be such a hassle.
