Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”Probably not. The environment in other places is too harsh, it simply isn’t suitable for people to live in.”

Minato smiled and said, ”Someone once made a speculation. Perhaps it was because the battle between the Sage of Six Paths and the Rabbit Goddess in mythology caused too much destruction to the world, which led to the desolation of other places.”

”The only area suitable for humans to live in is the region centered around the Land of Fire and spreading outward to the other lands.”

”The closer you get to the west, the harsher the environment becomes. The far western lands are completely barren, a place where even shinobi cannot survive.”

”As for the east, south, and north, farther away is the ocean. There is no land.”

The shinobi world was indeed not large.

But the planet itself was not small.

However, the area suitable for humans to live in was only a small region.

The environments in other places were too harsh.

This was also one of the reasons why many people firmly believed that the myths were real.

The harsh environments in other places were believed to be the result of the battle between the Sage of Six Paths and the Rabbit Goddess in the myths.

”There is actually such a theory?”

Seiryū was somewhat surprised.

This was indeed an idea he had never considered before.

But this explanation did make some sense.

The shinobi world was indeed too small, at least from the perspective of him as a transmigrator.

Just look at the shinobi world map in the Ninja Academy.

There was no concept of the South Pole or North Pole for the southern and northern regions.

In other words.

The shinobi world was only located in a temperate zone. It did not even reach the South Pole or the North Pole.

Perhaps the shinobi world really was the last place on this planet suitable for living.

After all, others believed that the ”world destroying battle” was just a myth, but Seiryū, as a transmigrator, knew that battle that nearly destroyed the world had truly happened.

Tsunade shrugged and said indifferently, ”Those are just myths and legends. But it is true that other places are not suitable for human habitation. It is probably just due to special geographical environments.”

She did not believe the myths were real.

To shatter the world itself, how powerful would that kind of force have to be?

Attributing everything to special geographical environments was the most reasonable explanation.

”I actually hope the myths are real.”

Seiryū sighed.

Then his tone suddenly became somewhat low.

”At first, the Rabbit Goddess and the Sage of Six Paths were in the heavens. But now they have disappeared, so a vacancy has appeared in the sky.”

”But this unbearable vacancy is about to end.”

As he spoke, Seiryū raised his right hand and brushed his red hair back.

He styled it into a slicked back look, his tone cool and his eyes deep.

”Next, I will stand above the heavens. I will climb step by step to the highest point. I will become Seiryū Sennin, stand shoulder to shoulder with the sun, then gallop across the sea of stars. In the end I will find the One Piece and become the Pirate King!”

Tsunade: ”...”

Minato: ”...”

Completely incomprehensible. He was acting up again.

Saying things they could not understand.

Tsunade twitched the corner of her mouth and said helplessly, ”Stop messing around. Get ready to move. We need to reach Rōran by tomorrow.”

Seiryū nodded. Fooling around for a moment felt great.

He stood up, patted the dust off his clothes, and said, ”Then let’s go.”

The three set off again.

By the next morning, they finally reached their destination.

In the center of the desert ahead stood a steel city composed of countless tall towers.

Different from the architectural style of the Land of Fire, it had an exotic appearance. It looked especially magnificent and impressive.

Standing on high ground and looking at the buildings in the distance, Seiryū nodded silently and praised it.

”What a nice town. If someone turned it into a tourist attraction, it would probably attract a lot of visitors.”

”But it would probably cost more than renting the Forest of Death. I probably won’t save that much money in my lifetime.”

This architectural style was rarely seen.

If it could be developed, it would definitely become a famous tourist destination in the shinobi world.

It would be a pity for it to be buried by history.

Sigh, he was still too poor.

Minato looked toward Tsunade and asked for instructions.

”Tsunade-sama, should we make a plan?”

Tsunade crossed her arms and thought for a moment before speaking.

”According to the intelligence, although Anrokuzan is a shinobi, based on the scouts’ reports, his chakra presence is not very strong. At most it is close to the level of a Jōnin.”

”What we need to pay attention to is the possible weapon, which is related to the Ryūmyaku. So we need to find the location of the Ryūmyaku.”

”My sensory ninjutsu is not very strong. Finding the Ryūmyaku will be your task, Minato.”

”As for Seiryū and me, we will search for Anrokuzan.”

Tsunade was an experienced Jōnin who had completed countless S rank missions. She was already very familiar with handling all kinds of situations.

She quickly came up with a clear action plan.

”Let’s go in first.”

Tsunade gave the order.

After that, the three began to move and soon entered the town of Rōran.

Minato had already flashed away, heading to search for the location of the Ryūmyaku.

Tsunade and Seiryū did not act immediately. Instead, they began observing the surroundings.

Tsunade looked around and found that the entire town was empty. She held her chin and fell into thought.

”Strange. Such a prosperous town but there is no one here? Something is odd.”

Seiryū roughly knew the situation, but he did not say it. Instead he said,

”What should we do now? If Anrokuzan is hiding, it won’t be easy to find him. Should we go find the queen of this country first? She might know Anrokuzan’s location.”

”We still do not know the situation of the queen of Rōran. Whether she is truly being deceived or is working with him. If we contact her rashly, it may alert the enemy.”

”You are the captain, you decide. But I think the queen of Rōran probably does not know anything. She is not a bad person.”

”Hm? What makes you think that?”

After hearing Seiryū’s words, Tsunade turned her head to look at him.

She would never truly treat Seiryū as a nine year old child.

Even if something was wrong with his brain sometimes, it worked very well when it mattered.

Seiryū answered honestly.

”Because the queen of Rōran is very beautiful, and she has red hair like me. I do not think she could be a bad person.”

”And in the photo she looks a little foolish in a pure way, kind of like a college student. The kind of person who looks easy to deceive, the type who would even help count money for the person who tricked them.”

She really was easy to deceive.

Look at how badly Anrokuzan had fooled her.

Tsunade twitched the corner of her mouth.

”Be serious.”

”I’m not joking. I really think she is not a bad person. She might even need us to save her. Saving a deceived beautiful girl is what we shinobi should do. I will not hesitate!”

”You want to save her so she will thank you, and then sell Rōran to you cheaply?”

”Huh? Why didn’t I think of that?”

Seiryū suddenly clapped his hands, his eyes lighting up.

”A life saving grace should be repaid with marriage. If I marry the queen of Rōran, that means I own half of Rōran. And if we divorce, I could take half the property. Wouldn’t that be an even faster way to make money?”
