Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”I do know a little about the Dragon Vein. It is chakra naturally formed from the power of the earth’s veins. Like the three great sacred lands, it is a naturally blessed place with excellent feng shui, and it is indeed a form of natural energy.”

”But I didn’t expect it to develop consciousness...”

The tiny Katsuyu was currently resting on Tsunade’s shoulder.

She was explaining what she knew about the Dragon Vein.

The existence of the Dragon Vein could be traced back a very long time.

Its history might not be any shorter than that of the three great sacred lands.

Like the three great sacred lands, it was a ”blessed place” naturally endowed with natural energy.

It was just that even Katsuyu had not expected the Dragon Vein to develop its own consciousness.

Becoming something similar to a Tailed Beast.

Katsuyu looked at Seiryū, her gaze falling on the purple diamond-shaped mark on the center of his forehead.

She pondered for a moment, then said in a gentle tone, ”As for Seiryū’s current condition, I’m not too sure either. What I specialize in is senjutsu, I don’t know that much about ninjutsu.”

”But it should be just as Seiryū thought. As long as you learn how to use natural energy, you should be able to use Dragon Vein chakra.”

As for Seiryū’s condition.

Well, even with all her knowledge and experience, she was a bit stumped.

She could not quite figure out the exact situation.

In the end, Katsuyu made her own judgment. ”As for danger, there probably isn’t any. As long as the Yin Seal is not activated and the Dragon Vein chakra is not released, it should not pose any danger to Seiryū himself.”

”Of course, it would still be best for Seiryū to learn senjutsu. That would reduce the danger of Dragon Vein chakra to the lowest possible level.”

”At the very least, when Dragon Vein chakra leaks out in the future, Seiryū won’t die from being devoured by natural energy.”

Having Seiryū learn senjutsu was also the safest method she had thought of right away.

Tsunade pondered for a moment before saying, ”At Seiryū’s current age, can he learn senjutsu yet?”

Before, it was not that there were many techniques she did not want to teach Seiryū.

It was because Seiryū was too young, so they were not suitable for him to learn.

Could the current Seiryū learn senjutsu yet?

She did not think so.

Hearing that, the tiny Katsuyu indeed shook her little head. ”Although Seiryū’s chakra reserves are not less than some adults, if he wants to learn senjutsu, that level of chakra reserve is still far from enough.”

If one wanted to master senjutsu.

The first condition was that the amount of chakra in the body had to reach a certain level, only then could it balance with natural energy and maintain the stability of senjutsu chakra.

At the same time.

If one wanted to activate Sage Mode, it was not enough to merely maintain the balance between spiritual energy, physical energy, and natural energy.

The amount of senjutsu chakra in the body also had to reach a certain threshold before Sage Mode could be activated successfully!

It was similar to how a Jinchūriki borrowing Tailed Beast chakra had different states, chakra cloak, half-Tailed Beast transformation, and complete Tailed Beast transformation.

That was the external manifestation of how much chakra a Jinchūriki could use!

Seiryū was speechless.

He knew it.

What had always limited him was his age.

Being young meant that his body had not fully developed.

Naturally, his chakra reserves could not keep up.

That was also why Seiryū had wanted to master the Yin Seal ahead of time.

So that he would not have to worry about chakra.

But in the end.

Now that the Yin Seal had finally been filled, he still could not use it because Dragon Vein chakra was dangerous.

This was seriously such a scam!!

Eh, wait, there seemed to be a bug here.

Seiryū suddenly thought of something.

”Katsuyu, I have a question. Before this, I also took the risk of using senjutsu chakra. As long as natural energy can be controlled, it seems possible to avoid being eroded by natural energy, right?”

Seiryū looked at Katsuyu-sama and asked, ”In other words, being able to control natural energy and mastering senjutsu are not the same concept?”

”If I can control natural energy, then even without entering Sage Mode, I should still be able to use senjutsu, right?”

After all, it was not as though he had never tried before.

Well, it had ended with him being seriously injured.

If he had been able to control natural energy back then, he should not have ended up so miserably.

That brought up a question.

Did senjutsu really require entering Sage Mode before it could be used?

Katsuyu said, ”I understand what you mean. Being able to control natural energy and mastering senjutsu are indeed not the same concept, they are a before-and-after relationship.”

”Only by perfectly controlling natural energy can you learn senjutsu.”

”To put it simply, only after accumulating enough senjutsu chakra and entering Sage Mode will senjutsu chakra truly stabilize.”

”If Sage Mode cannot be activated, then the balance of senjutsu chakra cannot be controlled. The same thing as last time will happen, and natural energy will inevitably destroy the body...”

”The structure of the human body already determines that your senjutsu is somewhat different from the senjutsu of living beings from our three great sacred lands. Do you understand now?”

Sage Mode was the external manifestation of humans mastering senjutsu.

It was also the stabilized state of senjutsu chakra.

It could be said that Sage Mode was a necessary condition for humans to use senjutsu!

”So that’s how it is...”

Seiryū nodded.

Now he already knew that senjutsu chakra was the key to Kidō incantations.

As long as he could control natural energy and senjutsu chakra, then in theory, he should be able to use chanted Kidō.

Incantation required time, and absorbing natural energy also required time.

That was the common point between the two.

At the same time, it also gave rise to another question in Seiryū’s mind.

If he activated Sage Mode and had abundant senjutsu chakra in his body, then would unchanted Kidō and chanted Kidō still have the same power?

After all, both were being used with senjutsu chakra to cast Kidō.

But if their power was the same, then would chanting not be completely unnecessary?

There were still quite a few issues regarding senjutsu and incantations!

Seiryū practically had the words ”I’m very curious” written across his face, and looked eager to try.

”What dangerous thing are you thinking about now?”

Tsunade knew Seiryū very well. The moment she saw his expression, she immediately became alert. ”You’d better not do anything reckless right now!!”

That little expression.

This brat Seiryū was thinking about risky things again!!

”Come on, what risky thing could I possibly be thinking about?”

Seiryū waved his hand.

Indicating that he was a very steady person. ”I’m just a little anxious. As long as this Dragon Vein chakra bomb isn’t dealt with, I won’t be able to feel at ease for even a day.”

”What if one day the Dragon Vein at my forehead suddenly goes berserk and causes a ’Dragon Vein Rebellion’ in Konoha, leading to heavy casualties in the village?”

”Then Konoha would treat me as a disaster, I’d be looked down on everywhere, pushed aside by everyone, and even you would abandon me.”

”In the end, disheartened and hopeless, I’d defect from Konoha, and with no other choice, join some missing-nin organization. Then someday in the future, I’d return to Konoha under the noble excuse of making Konoha experience the pain I felt back then, when everyone abandoned me.”

”Just thinking about it is terrifying!”

”How could I not be anxious? I still want to become Hokage and make money.”
