Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Why is it that both times I left the village on a mission, I ended up seriously injured? It feels like some mysterious force has its eyes on me.

Unable to move, Seiryū was being supported by Tsunade like a vegetable, and he began complaining with a lifeless expression.

The last time, it was because of Katsuyu’s senjutsu chakra.

This time, it was because of the rampaging Dragon Vein chakra.

Both times he left the village on a mission, he ended up seriously injured.

”What exactly happened to you just now? Why did the Dragon Vein chakra enter your body on its own? Were you trying to use the Dragon Vein chakra to fill your Yin Seal!?”

Tsunade questioned Seiryū at this moment.

She stared at the center of his forehead.

Between the bright red lip print, the purple diamond-shaped mark was especially eye-catching.

With the help of her chakra just now.

The speed at which Seiryū’s Yin Seal absorbed and stored the Dragon Vein chakra had doubled.

In just two short minutes, it had absorbed and stored all of the rampaging Dragon Vein chakra inside his body.

Finished.

A Yin Seal that should have taken years to fully store had now been completed in less than ten minutes.

And Seiryū’s Yin Seal mark was very special.

Its color was purple.

”I dunno, maybe because my body got washed through by Katsuyu’s senjutsu chakra before, it gained some kind of special attraction to natural energy? I noticed it just now too, the Dragon Vein chakra contains natural energy.”

Seiryū could not reveal the existence of the system.

The reason the Dragon Vein chakra had uncontrollably poured into his body.

Was without question because of that damn system.

He could not say that.

So he could only find an excuse.

The fact that he had previously been washed through by Katsuyu’s senjutsu chakra just happened to work as one.

Do not ask.

If you ask, then the answer is that he does not know either!

He was just a nine-year-old child, how could he possibly understand these things?

Seiryū said helplessly, ”I also did not know something like this would happen. I originally wanted to seal the Dragon Vein first, and planned to find another chance to test it later, but then...”

This was just an accident.

He did not want this either!

”Tsunade-sama, Seiryū’s condition should not be dangerous anymore, right?”

Minato, standing nearby, looked at Tsunade and asked.

He was also very concerned about Seiryū’s condition...

”I can’t really judge that either. I didn’t even know the Yin Seal could be used to seal a Tailed Beast. The nature of the Dragon Vein chakra just now was exactly like the Tailed Beasts in my memory.”

Tsunade shook her head.

Seiryū’s situation was equivalent to using the Yin Seal to seal a Tailed Beast.

A situation like this had never happened before.

How could she possibly understand something that had never happened before?

Tsunade rubbed her forehead with her left hand, her tone helpless and worried. ”Calling him a Jinchūriki is not entirely accurate either. Seiryū’s situation is just too bizarre. If he loses control again....”

Her voice paused, and Tsunade set Seiryū down, then asked with concern, ”How do you feel right now?”

That simple movement alone made Seiryū bare his teeth in pain.

He felt mentally exhausted. ”Pain, too much pain! It’s even worse than the last time when I was corroded by senjutsu chakra. I don’t even know how long it will take before I can use Kaidō on myself again.”

Once again, his chakra pathways were damaged.

This time it was even worse than before.

If he had not trained his pain tolerance, he might already have passed out from it.

Tsunade used medical ninjutsu to ease Seiryū’s pain while saying, ”I’m not asking you that. Is the Dragon Vein chakra stable? Are there any signs of it going berserk? If it loses control again, even the Sage of Six Paths wouldn’t be able to save you!”

’You’re seriously underestimating the Sage of Six Paths.’

Seiryū complained inwardly.

After sensing it a bit, he said, ”It’s pretty obedient. It seems to have stabilized already. The Yin Seal is also a kind of seal, so maybe it has the effect of sealing a Tailed Beast too?”

”As long as I don’t activate the Yin Seal, the Dragon Vein chakra won’t leak out. At least that’s how it is right now.”

The Yin Seal had completely sealed and locked away the Dragon Vein chakra.

As long as he did not activate the Yin Seal, the Dragon Vein chakra would not escape.

It had no effect on Seiryū.

At least, that was how it was for now.

As for what it would be like later, that was hard to say.

And the system had not said the mission was complete. Because he had only sealed it and still could not use it, did that mean it did not count as subduing it? This trashy system.

Seiryū fell into thought.

The mission [Subdue the Hollow Power Within] had not been completed.

Clearly, by the system’s judgment.

Merely sealing the Dragon Vein chakra, this so-called ”Hollow power,” could not count as the standard for having ”subdued” it.

If he wanted to complete this mission.

Then perhaps he would need to wait until he could freely use the Dragon Vein chakra.

At the very least, when using the Dragon Vein chakra, he could not be struck by the Dragon Vein’s will and lose his sanity....

This damn garbage system!

Did it want him to become the Dragon Vein’s perfect Jinchūriki?

Hearing that, Tsunade solemnly warned him, ”Until we completely understand your special Yin Seal, you are not allowed to use the Yin Seal again. Remember that!”

Seiryū nodded. ”I know. I won’t risk my life. Before the people who owe me money die, there’s no way I can die.”

”One of the most painful things in life is when a person dies and their debt disappears. I don’t want to let off the people who owe me money that easily!”

The Dragon Vein chakra contained natural energy.

Although it was somewhat different from senjutsu chakra, using chakra that contained natural energy required extreme caution.

Seiryū thought to himself.

As long as he had not learned senjutsu, rashly using the Dragon Vein chakra stored within the Yin Seal would carry enormous risk.

He had better not get himself killed.

Tsunade: ”...”

If anyone else said something like that, she would believe it.

But when Seiryū said it, she did not find it very reliable.

It was all because this brat had already done too many extreme things!!

And also, who exactly was that last sentence aimed at?

One kiss on the forehead cost one million ryō, why didn’t he just go rob someone!?

If her hands had not been restricted at that moment, why would she have needed to use a kiss as a method?

It seemed like she was the one who had suffered a loss, right?

This brat was really acting smug after taking advantage!

”Hahaha, it’s good that you’re alright, Sage Seiryū. It looks like we’re about to return to our own timeline too. Today’s experience was really amazing, I never thought we’d actually come here....”

”Tsunade-sama, Minato-sama, and this.... uh, Sage Seiryū, it was an honor meeting all of you here, but it seems it’s time to say goodbye. Please have Minato-sama seal our memories, so as to avoid causing any effects on your timeline and ours....”

Naruto and Yamato also came over.

A faint white light had appeared on their bodies.

As the Dragon Vein chakra was sealed within the Yin Seal on Seiryū’s forehead, and the influence of the Dragon Vein chakra disappeared.

The connection between the two timelines, which had been created by the Dragon Vein chakra, began to gradually return to normal.

The two of them also sensed that they were about to return to their own timeline.

To avoid this experience affecting either side, Yamato intended to have Minato seal their memories.
