Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Tsunade sighed exasperatedly.

Anyone lacking in virtue could come up with something like that.

If someone really did that kind of thing, they would indeed be seriously lacking in virtue!

She suddenly began to doubt it.

Was wanting Seiryū to become Hokage really a reliable idea?

This brat was just too unreliable.

He cared a lot about money, always talking about making money, and for the sake of money, he had even shamelessly kept calling Rōran’s Queen Sāra his big sister.

The key point was that he had actually made the big sister-little brother route work!

Not long ago, Queen Sāra had followed a merchant caravan to Konoha for sightseeing, and she even had the idea of taking Seiryū back to Rōran with her.

Tsunade slowly let out a breath.

Konoha did not have this kind of virtue-lacking person. Only Seiryū could come up with such a shameless way of making money.

How had she ended up taking in such an unreliable disciple?

Thankfully, Seiryū was still young. She could slowly correct his wrong ”views” later.

Of course.

She also did not think Seiryū would really do something that shameless.

Well, probably...

Anyway, under normal circumstances, Seiryū’s values were pretty upright.

It was all because of that ”illness” she could not cure, Seiryū was definitely acting up again!!

Not continuing that topic, Tsunade beckoned to Seiryū. ”Come here, I have something to give you.”

Seiryū asked instinctively, ”The position of Hokage? Can you decide that now? Am I still too young? How about a few more years from now? Then we can make money together, and I’ll give you the position of Hokage assistant!”

Tsunade’s face darkened again, her voice carrying a threat. ”If you dare joke with me like that again, I’ll smash your head open right now!”

What did he mean, make money together?

Did she look like that kind of virtue-lacking person?

”You were the one who joked with me first, saying you wanted me to become Hokage. Now I changed my mind and want to become Hokage, and you’re unhappy about it? You’re really hard to please...”

Seiryū curled his lip and could not be bothered to dwell on it.

He stepped forward.

He was not as tall as Tsunade yet, so he could only raise his head slightly to look at her and ask, ”What are you giving me? Your self-developed Creation Rebirth?”

”Not Creation Rebirth, we’ll talk about that later.”

Tsunade shook her head.

She took off the necklace she wore around her neck, the one that rested against her fair collarbone.

Then she said to Seiryū, ”This necklace was left to me by my grandfather. His chakra has the ability to suppress Tailed Beasts.”

”You count as a Jinchūriki now too. Before, this necklace could also suppress the Dragon Vein. If the Dragon Vein starts acting up, this necklace should be able to help somewhat.”

”It can also count as a gift to celebrate your recovery!”

The other her from another timeline could give this necklace to Naruto.

She could place her bet on Naruto.

So why could she not give this necklace to Seiryū?

Seiryū was one of the most important people to her.

Besides, the necklace containing her grandfather’s chakra could suppress the Dragon Vein chakra inside Seiryū’s Yin Seal.

It was more useful on Seiryū.

As for that curse.

Perhaps it was only a psychological effect caused by her refusal to accept reality.

She also needed to change, she could not keep drowning in the past.

”This is way too precious, isn’t it? I’ve never seen you take it off before, and it doesn’t look cheap either.”

Seiryū’s mouth twitched. ”And I’m afraid my fate isn’t strong enough, I might not be able to bear the karma...”

This was deadly.

Other than the child of destiny, whoever took this thing ended up dead!

Well, that was not quite right, even the child of destiny seemed to have died once, he was just saved later.

The karma tied to this necklace was too great.

Seiryū did not know whether his fate was strong enough.

Come to think of it, was there anyone in Naruto who could tell fortunes?

He suddenly wanted to go have his fate calculated!!

”What fate? What karma?”

Tsunade could not understand, and just treated it as Seiryū acting up again, she was already used to it.

She waved her hand and said, ”It’s not that precious.”

Then she said to Seiryū, ”It’s not of much use on me. It suits you perfectly. What, do you dislike it? I wouldn’t just give this necklace to anyone else.”

This necklace was more useful on Seiryū than it was staying with her.

”Of course I don’t dislike it. Only an idiot would refuse something for free. Do I look like someone who’d be polite with you?”

Seiryū stopped worrying about whether his fate was strong enough or not.

Free benefits were still benefits.

He had already been scammed out of who knew how many ryō.

Even if Tsunade devoted herself to him, that would still be only fair, so he definitely was not going to be polite with her.

Who cared whether his fate was strong enough or not, he had the fate of a transmigrator anyway, it could not be worse than the child of destiny, right?

This was also Tsunade’s acknowledgment of him, he could not refuse it!

”I’ll put it on for you.”

Tsunade stepped closer to Seiryū and fastened the necklace around his neck. Then she took a step back, looked at him, and nodded in satisfaction. ”Not bad, it suits you pretty well.”

”But what’s with that expression?”

Tsunade suddenly noticed that Seiryū’s expression was a little strange, and could not help asking curiously, ”Can this necklace suppress the Dragon Vein chakra even without being activated?”

Seiryū touched his nose and said helplessly, ”Don’t suddenly ambush me like that in the future...”

”Yours are way too big.”

”And you came right up close.”

”With that kind of chest-first attack, I’m still young, I can’t really handle it!!”

Tsunade froze for a moment, then reacted. Crossing her arms and lifting her magnificent chest, she sneered. ”So a little brat like you can get shy too? You haven’t even grown all your hair yet, but you sure know a lot!”

Seiryū glanced at Tsunade sideways and said nothing.

Shy, my ass.

He just had not been mentally prepared for that sudden ambush.

Then he changed the subject and brought up another matter. ”I’ve made some deductions recently. Dragon Vein chakra contains natural energy.”

”If I want to use Dragon Vein chakra, then I’ll need to learn senjutsu. Bad woman, do you know anything about senjutsu?”

If he had not mastered senjutsu, then he probably would not be able to use Dragon Vein chakra that contained natural energy.

This was the next issue Seiryū needed to think about.

Dragon Vein chakra was very useful, it could be treated like a special Tailed Beast.

Calculating the time.

If the plot had not changed too much.

Then the Third Shinobi World War was probably about to begin!

The more trump cards he had, and the stronger he became, the more ways Seiryū would have to respond.

”I don’t know much about senjutsu either, I haven’t had much contact with it.”

At the mention of senjutsu, Tsunade shook her head.

Shikkotsurin also had a senjutsu inheritance, but she had never tried it.

Tsunade continued, ”That guy Jiraiya did learn it, but I don’t know whether he’s already mastered senjutsu. When he comes back next time, you can ask him about it.”

At the mention of senjutsu.

The first person Tsunade thought of was her grandfather, and after that, Jiraiya.

She remembered that Jiraiya had mentioned it once, saying he was training senjutsu.

But she had never seen Jiraiya use it either, so she did not know whether he had succeeded in learning it or not.

Seiryū shrugged. ”I’m asking you because he’s not in Konoha. Who knows when he’ll return to the village next.”

Tsunade was also a little speechless, Jiraiya really was somewhat unreliable too.

After thinking for a moment, Tsunade said, ”How about this, I’ll teach you the Summoning Jutsu first. After you sign a contract with Katsuyu, you can also ask her about this.”

”Oh, right, Katsuyu might know something about the Dragon Vein too. You can also ask whether your current condition carries any risks...”

Tsunade thought of something else again.

Katsuyu had no idea how many years she had lived.

She had seen much and knew much.

Perhaps she knew something about the Dragon Vein, and perhaps she could also tell whether Seiryū’s current condition, with the Dragon Vein chakra sealed inside his Yin Seal, carried any risks.

In any case, there was no harm in asking, right?
