Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”Eh, Hokage-sama?”

Yamato heard the voice and turned his head. When he saw Tsunade, he could not help but pause for a moment. ”Why are you here too?”

Why was Hokage-sama here?

A mission to capture a missing-nin should not require the Hokage to act personally, right?

And what was going on with Hokage-sama’s question?

She clearly knew his situation.

It was also her order for him to become the acting captain of Team Seven.

So what was the meaning of asking such a question now?

”Hmm?”

After hearing Yamato’s words, Minato was also stunned for a moment.

Tsunade-sama is the Hokage?

Without his knowledge, had the Third Hokage already passed the position of Hokage to Tsunade?

”Answer my question!”

Killing intent flashed in Tsunade’s eyes as she ignored the way he addressed her.

Her gaze remained fixed on Yamato. ”Why do you possess the Wood Release bloodline limit?”

The Wood Release bloodline limit was her grandfather’s bloodline ability.

Within the entire Senju clan, only her grandfather had awakened this bloodline limit.

Now it had appeared on another person.

Naturally, she had to ask clearly about his origins.

Yamato frowned.

At this moment, he also sensed something was wrong.

If it were Hokage-sama, she would not possibly be unaware of why he possessed Wood Release.

”You are not Hokage-sama. Who are you?”

Thinking of this, Yamato stepped back cautiously.

After all, he had served in both ANBU and Root.

His mind was sharp, and his judgment of situations was excellent.

Although this woman looked exactly like Hokage-sama, she was not the Hokage he knew.

He had somehow arrived here, and he still did not fully understand the situation.

The person beside him with chakra similar to Naruto probably was not Naruto either.

What exactly was going on?

Yamato felt confused and bewildered, yet he became even more vigilant.

He even wondered if he had fallen under a genjutsu.

”Captain Yamato, don’t be nervous. They are not enemies!”

Naruto had also arrived.

He came directly beside Yamato and said, ”This is not our time and space. Tsunade grandma is not the real Tsunade grandma. She is Tsunade grandma from twenty years ago, so she does not know us!”

”???”

Yamato had a face full of question marks, then frowned and asked Naruto, ”What are you talking about?”

What was all this?

He could not understand a single thing.

Minato, standing nearby, also had a flash in his eyes as the confusion in his heart deepened.

Naruto scratched his head.

He wanted to explain, but his mind simply could not sort it out.

He could only laugh awkwardly. ”It’s just different time and space. Tsunade grandma is Tsunade grandma from twenty years ago. Because of the Ryūmyaku, we came to twenty years ago, but it is twenty years ago in a different time and space!”

Alright.

Asking him to explain something like this was extremely difficult for him.

In the end, he could only say it like this. ”Anyway, they are not enemies!”

”???”

Yamato still had a face full of question marks.

He could not understand Naruto’s explanation.

He pulled Naruto behind him and continued watching Tsunade and Minato in front of him with vigilance. ”Did you place us under a genjutsu?”

He still felt that he must have fallen under an illusion.

Naruto’s words were far too outrageous. How could such a thing possibly exist?

Minato did not respond, but he also found the situation strange.

He quickly asked Tsunade in a low voice, ”Tsunade-sama, what exactly is going on now?”

However, when he looked at Naruto, for some reason he felt an inexplicable sense of closeness toward that boy.

Tsunade remained silent for a moment, then withdrew her gaze from Yamato.

She gave a brief explanation. ”Because of the Ryūmyaku, they came from another time and space with a different historical progression to our time and space. And it is from twenty years in the future of that different timeline.”

This Wood Release shinobi knew Naruto.

He was probably also from another time and space.

Minato: ”?”

He wondered if he had heard wrong.

But Tsunade would clearly not joke about something like this.

And his comprehension ability was excellent.

After thinking about it carefully, he had already formed a rough judgment, well, roughly.

Minato nodded. ”Shinobi from the future of another time and space? I see. No wonder I have no impression of him.”

A Wood Release shinobi would definitely cause a sensation in Konoha.

There was no way he would not know about it.

Although it still felt unbelievable, Tsunade’s explanation was clearly the most reasonable.

Tsunade glanced at Minato. ”You are not surprised?”

”Of course I am surprised. I did not expect something like this to happen. But even if they are shinobi from the future of another time and space, they are still Konoha shinobi. They are not our enemies.”

Minato was surprised, but he had his own logic.

As long as he knew they were not enemies, that was enough.

After everything was over, he could slowly learn more and ask questions.

For example, what identity that boy who gave him a sense of familiarity had.

Tsunade nodded slightly. ”As expected of you.”

The Fourth Hokage from another time and space?

Judging from his calm and composed behavior, Minato indeed had the qualifications to sit in that position.

Meanwhile, with both arms around Seiryū’s neck and still being carried in a princess carry, Sāra looked at Anrokuzan behind the puppet guards.

She could not help but shout sternly, ”Anrokuzan, what exactly are you doing? You created these puppets not to develop Rōran, but to rule the shinobi world?”

”Tell me, why did you do this? Why did you deceive us?”

Seeing was believing.

The number of puppets Anrokuzan controlled far exceeded what she had known.

They had already formed the scale of an army.

How could this possibly be a measure to replace human labor and benefit Rōran?

They had truly been deceived.

This was the truth.

”Hahaha! Why?”

Anrokuzan burst into laughter.

He looked at Sāra with mockery and slowly said, ”Of course it is for power. Having such power yet not knowing how to use it would be a waste, wouldn’t it?”

The Queen of Rōran could control the power of the Ryūmyaku, yet she did not know how to use it. What a waste.

Anrokuzan spread his arms, his expression somewhat twisted. ”The Ryūmyaku possesses power not inferior to those tailed beast weapons.”

”As long as I control this power, I can rule the entire shinobi world and make it submit beneath my feet!”

”Now there is only one final step left. As long as I kill you, the one who can shut down the Ryūmyaku, no one will be able to stop me.”

”Anyone who blocks my path must die, just like your foolish mother. Die here as well, Sāra!”

Killing intent appeared in Anrokuzan’s eyes as he sneered.

As for Seiryū, he ignored him.

Just a brat.

Anrokuzan waved his hand.

Swish swish swish.

One puppet after another rushed toward Seiryū and Sāra under the control of chakra threads.

Hearing this, Sāra bit her red lip as sorrow and anger filled her eyes. ”You were the one who killed Mother…”

So her mother had not died from illness.

She had been killed because she tried to stop him.

After learning this truth, she found it impossible to accept.
