Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Three days later.

Early in the morning, Rin arrived at the Yūhi residence.

”Seiryū, Kurenai, let’s go. If we’re late, there might not be any seats left.”

Rin’s cheeks were slightly red as she spoke to Seiryū and Kurenai.

She had not forgotten their previous agreement and planned to treat them to Ichiraku Ramen.

Today was the official opening day of Ichiraku Ramen.

Kurenai giggled.

”I’m really curious about how Ichiraku Ramen tastes.”

Seiryū also said, ”Then let’s go.”

The three of them did not linger.

They headed straight toward Ichiraku Ramen on the commercial street.

As they walked, Rin asked, ”Seiryū, your injury should be healed by now, right? Are you going to start taking missions again?”

”Mm.”

Seiryū nodded.

”We started doing missions again these past two days. But they’re just D-rank missions, nothing outside the village.”

After resting for more than a month, Team Four began taking missions again.

Actually, according to the rules,

if a Genin in the team was injured, another Genin would temporarily replace them while the ninja team continued carrying out missions.

However, because Tsunade’s identity was rather special, she ignored this rule.

She had privileges.

Kurenai added, ”We’ll probably have to leave the village for missions in a few days. I just hope nothing unexpected happens this time.”

Thinking about their previous mission outside the village still made her feel uneasy.

”I see.”

Rin nodded and smiled.

”There probably won’t be any unexpected problems, right? We’ve already completed several C-rank missions without encountering any major danger.”

Kurenai muttered, ”I hope so.”

Seiryū also smiled.

”I also hope we don’t run into another S-rank missing-nin. If it happens again, it’ll really be hard to handle.”

But in his heart he added,

’Because of my existence, the storyline has changed a little. I wonder if the Rōran mission will still happen...’

What Seiryū cared about now was this.

Would the mission related to Rōran still appear?

If it appeared, would the one who traveled through time still be the Cult Leader from the original story?

Time travel itself was filled with paradoxes and uncertainty.

His existence would inevitably influence the future. The storyline could not remain exactly the same.

That was what Seiryū was curious about.

While chatting casually, the three of them soon arrived at Ichiraku Ramen.

It was seven in the morning.

The doors of Ichiraku Ramen had not opened yet, but three to five people were already waiting outside.

They were waiting for the shop to open.

”Let’s wait over here first.”

Seeing that it had not opened yet, Seiryū brought the two girls to the shop next door. He took a key from his pocket and unlocked the door.

Seiryū was someone who acted quickly.

The day after Tsunade’s birthday, he had already bought the shop next to Ichiraku Ramen.

It cost him 2.3 million ryo.

Rin looked very surprised.

”Huh, Seiryū, why do you have the key to this house?”

Kurenai explained, ”Seiryū already bought this place. He’s really rich.”

”Bought it?”

Rin was quite shocked. Seiryū was really wealthy.

Then she asked curiously, ”Did you buy this place to open a shop?”

Rin suddenly thought of something, paused, and said weakly, ”Y-you’re not really planning to open a yakiniku restaurant, are you?”

Thinking back to the past, Seiryū’s self introduction in class.

Because it was so unique, and combined with Seiryū’s appearance, Rin still remembered it clearly.

Among Seiryū’s many dreams, there seemed to be one about opening a yakiniku restaurant next to a ramen shop.

”Mm, I do have that idea. But I probably won’t have time to run a yakiniku shop. I’ll think about it when I have time in the future. I can also fulfill another dream at the same time, a wife, children, and a warm home.”

Seiryū said with a smile.

As he had said before, after becoming a shinobi, he did not have time to run a yakiniku restaurant, and his age did not allow it either.

After hearing Seiryū’s words, Kurenai seemed to think of something, and her small face turned slightly red.

”That kind of life actually sounds pretty nice...”

Rin also murmured softly.

If she had not become a shinobi, opening a shop with the person she liked, having children together, and living happily as a family.

That kind of life seemed quite nice too.

”Rin, sit down first. I’ll go make some tea for you.”

After asking Rin to sit, Seiryū walked into the inner room to prepare tea.

This building used to be a pet shop. The interior had not been changed much. After the previous owner moved out, it was fairly empty.

There were two floors.

It could be used for business and also for living.

After all, it cost more than two million ryo, so the area was not small.

The three chatted casually for about ten minutes.

Then Ichiraku Ramen officially opened.

Seiryū and the others entered the shop and sat side by side. Seiryū greeted Teuchi, who was making ramen.

”Hey, Teuchi-san. We came to support your opening.”

”Haha, thank you for your support. Everything is half price today. I hope you’ll like my ramen!”

Teuchi had quite a deep impression of Seiryū.

This boy truly had ability.

He bought the shop next door the very next day.

”I’m really looking forward to it.”

Seiryū smiled.

He truly was looking forward to it. After all, this was a ramen shop that became very famous in the original story.

Naruto did not turn dark and become Menma. Teuchi could be said to deserve great credit for that.

Teuchi smiled warmly.

”Alright. What flavor would you like? We have tonkotsu, seafood, and...”

”Then give me a bowl of tonkotsu ramen.”

Seiryū ordered his favorite flavor.

”I’ll have tonkotsu ramen too.”

”Then I’ll take the seafood flavor.”

Kurenai and Rin each ordered their preferred flavors.

”Please wait a moment!”

Teuchi worked very quickly. Before long, three bowls of ramen were served.

They looked good and smelled delicious.

After slurping a mouthful of noodles, Seiryū nodded in satisfaction.

”The taste is really good.”

Although it was not as addictive as soldier pill flavored ramen, among ordinary foods, it could be considered top tier.

After eating their fill, Rin paid for the meal. The three said goodbye to the busy Teuchi and left.

To be honest, Ichiraku Ramen’s business was indeed good. Many people were lining up.

In just ten minutes, a long queue had already formed outside the shop.

Among the people in line, Seiryū saw familiar faces, Kushina and Minato.

”Hey, little Seiryū, little Kurenai, little Rin. What a coincidence. How does the ramen here taste? Is it good?”

”Kushina-onee-san, Minato-sensei.”

Rin greeted them and showed a cute smile.

”The taste is good. You’ll probably like it.”

Then she asked Minato, ”By the way, Minato-sensei, do you have a mission this afternoon?”

Minato pointed at Kushina and said helplessly, ”My schedule today has been booked by her. I’m resting today.”

Kushina put her hands on her hips and snorted.

”Hmph. Are you unhappy about it? You can’t even spend a whole day with me?”

Minato quickly comforted her, smiling helplessly.

”I didn’t say that. Aren’t I already accompanying you?”

The storyline really had changed a little.

Seiryū thought to himself.

In the original movie, Minato was one of the shinobi who accepted the Rōran mission.

Now he still had time to come out and eat ramen with Kushina.

That meant he had not received that mission.

(To be continued.)
