Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Looking at the two Rasengan in Seiryū’s hands, cold sweat immediately ran down Obito’s forehead.

He quickly shouted, ”I admit defeat!”

As Minato’s student, there was no way he did not know the power of the Rasengan.

He had seen it many times during missions.

If he got hit by those two Rasengan, even if he did not die, he would at least be crippled.

Damn it.

Why was Seiryū still this strong even after resting for so long?

This was not ninjutsu at all!

Could it be that Seiryū had been pretending to be injured while secretly training behind everyone’s back?

Seeing Obito admit defeat, the others were not very surprised.

It was completely normal.

He could not even make them feel surprised for a moment.

If Seiryū had lost, that would have been the real surprise...

[Ding, mission complete, reward is being distributed.....]

Hearing the system prompt sound, Seiryū put away the two shape-transformed Rasengan.

Then he pulled Obito out from underground in one go.

Forming the Seal of Reconciliation, he smiled and said, ”Good match, Obito. You really have become much stronger than before. If it were a three-tomoe Sharingan, I probably wouldn’t dare be too careless.”

The meaning behind his words was clear.

Keep getting stronger.

Once he got stronger, he could come challenge him again.

He wanted to farm the system’s missions...

Obito was actually a little shaken, but he quickly pulled himself together.

Anyway, it was not the first time he had lost...

Losing had become natural by now.

If a one-tomoe Sharingan was not enough,

then he would wait until he awakened a two-tomoe or three-tomoe Sharingan.

The more tomoe there were, the stronger the Uchiha clan became. That was the advantage of the Uchiha clan...

”You weren’t really injured, were you? You were just pretending to fool us. Actually, you just didn’t want to go on missions, so you were secretly training in private, right?”

He also formed the Seal of Reconciliation.

Obito looked at Seiryū, suspicion entering his tone. ”Otherwise, how could you still be this strong after resting for over two months!?”

Seiryū truly admired the other side’s imagination.

Speechless, he said, ”Why the hell would I fake being sick out of boredom?”

Seiryū shrugged. ”As for why you still can’t catch up to me, it’s because I’m a genius. Geniuses don’t need to make sense. I thought you were all used to that already.”

Everyone had a few things they wanted to say.

But after thinking about it, they decided to forget it.

Seiryū’s talent really was unreasonable...

At this moment.

Kakashi looked at Seiryū and said seriously, ”Seiryū, I heard my father mention that you seem to be planning to participate in the next Chunin Exams, right?”

As soon as those words came out.

Several of the people present were a little surprised.

Seiryū was actually planning to take the Chunin Exams?

Wasn’t that too fast!?

Seiryū did not deny it either. ”I do have that plan. What, Kakashi, are you planning to take them too?”

In the original story, Kakashi had become a Chunin at six years old.

Now that he was already eight, it was not strange for him to have thoughts of taking the Chunin Exams.

Kakashi nodded and said, ”More or less. So I wanted to ask you, are you planning to form a team with Kurenai and Shizune?”

The Chunin Exams were generally taken in team format.

An individual alone could not participate.

He wanted to ask what Seiryū’s situation was.

After all, he did not think Kurenai and Shizune could keep up with Seiryū’s pace...

”Uh, I really haven’t thought about that.”

Seiryū froze for a moment.

Then explained, ”I’m only planning to take the Chunin Exams because of some special reasons. But I imagine my teacher probably won’t let Kurenai and Shizune take them with me, right? Their strength still isn’t enough for the Chunin Exams.”

He really had forgotten about that part.

Later, he would need to go ask that bad woman Tsunade what the situation was.

Would she use the back door for him?

Speaking of which.

Tsunade might also know more about this Chunin Exam.

Were other ninja villages really going to participate?

He needed to ask clearly.

Kurenai puffed out her cheeks. Who was he looking down on?

She was strong too, alright!

But if she were asked to take the Chunin Exams right now, she really did not have that much confidence...

After hearing that.

Kakashi understood, and then put forward a suggestion. ”In that case, how about forming a temporary team with me? We can take this Chunin Exam together, and just find one more teammate to make a three-man squad.”

”Teaming up with you?”

Seiryū thought about it.

He felt that teaming up with Kakashi for the Chunin Exams was not a bad idea. At least Kakashi would not hold him back.

And.

If they needed to find another teammate...

The first person Seiryū thought of was the taijutsu master Duy!

But Seiryū did not know whether Tsunade had other arrangements, so he did not immediately agree.

Instead, he said, ”I’ll have to ask my teacher about that first. The reason I’m planning to take the Chunin Exams is also because she arranged it.”

”Tsunade-sama arranged it?”

Kakashi muttered to himself, then said to Seiryū, ”Then I’ll wait for your answer. If it really doesn’t work out, I’ll think of another way myself...”

Kurenai and Shizune could not keep up with Seiryū’s pace.

Obito and Rin could not keep up with his pace either.

”W, wait a second!!”

Obito interrupted, staring at Seiryū and Kakashi in shock. ”Why are you two already starting to plan for the Chunin Exams!?”

You were all Genin who graduated in the same class.

And now you were already thinking about taking the Chunin Exams!?

Then he turned to Kakashi and demanded, ”And what do you mean by that, Kakashi? Do you think Rin and I would hold you back?”

”That’s not it.”

Kakashi glanced at Obito and waved his hand.

Then he explained, ”It’s just that you two still don’t qualify to take the Chunin Exams. There are certain conditions Genin have to meet before they can participate, and the two of you still don’t meet them.”

Not meeting the requirements was one thing, and lacking strength was another.

Of course, he was not going to say that directly.

It would hurt their pride too much!

Obito was instantly displeased. ”What do you mean we don’t meet them? Haven’t we also completed plenty of missions with Minato-sensei?”

Kakashi said, ”Seiryū has completed two A-rank missions. I haven’t completed any A-rank missions, but I have completed B-rank missions, and only with the missions I did together with Minato-sensei did I barely meet the requirements.”

Then he shrugged. ”Only when your mission evaluations meet a certain standard can you take the Chunin Exams. You’re still lacking in that regard, so naturally you can’t participate.”

Obito asked in confusion, ”When did you complete a B-rank mission? How come I didn’t know about that?”

Kakashi spread his hands. ”I carried it out together with my father. Among the Genin of our graduating class, it should only be me and Seiryū who are qualified to take the next Chunin Exams.”

”...”

Obito’s mouth twitched, then he said angrily, ”Hatake Kakashi, you bastard, you actually left Rin and me behind and went off on missions by yourself. You’re way too much!!”

Kakashi was left speechless.

What kind of tone is that?

The more he listened, the stranger it sounded!

Anyone who did not know better would think he had done something outrageous.
