System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

There was an error in the previous text (actually Dong Chang, the author had a memory lapse).

Lu Cheng’s understanding of gossip is not as good as Xie Xiao and his daughter; they are professionals in this area.

Actually, Lu Cheng was just answering the phone.

The call was from Huang Haibo of the emergency department.

”Hmm, okay! Director Huang, I’ll be right there.” Lu Cheng stepped aside to move away from the crowd before agreeing.

After hanging up the phone, Lu Cheng approached the table and said, ”Professor Chen, Director Huang just called me, I need to return to the hospital to meet a guest.”

”What guest? You’re leaving?” Chen Song glanced at Lu Cheng.

Lu Cheng had yet to discuss serious matters.

Lu Cheng explained, ”An external expert invited by a colleague from our hospital’s general surgery department is unaware of our hospital’s situation.”

”Invited by a colleague to our hospital, conducting splenectomy and repair in the gastrointestinal surgery department.”

”A guest from afar deserves a proper reception, now that Professor Gong is visiting the emergency department.”

”You’re family, Teacher Chen, you should understand me.”

Lu Cheng emphasized the splenectomy and repair.

Chen Song was pleased with Lu Cheng’s words: ”You go, go...”

Just as Lu Cheng stepped out of the private room, Chen Song calmly began to speak: ”Let me tell you all, about the liver preservation surgery Lu Cheng performed some time ago.”

”It left the professors of our hospital’s hepatobiliary surgery stunned; it was truly a dimensional reduction attack.”

”Last Friday, I went to the general surgery department and attended a big lecture.”

”I’m not bragging; if I were to brag, I’d do it with Tong Yuan’an, no need to brag to you juniors, just stating...”

The dinner party hadn’t started yet, no alcohol was consumed, and Lu Cheng had already driven back to the hospital.

After parking the car, Lu Cheng tidied up his collar slightly.

Heading towards the direction of the internal medicine area of the emergency department, to Director Huang Haibo’s office.

There weren’t many people in the office, Director Huang Haibo, Deputy Director Wu Yuxiang from the second-line internal medicine on duty in logistics, making tea and pouring water.

Dong Chang from the gastrointestinal surgery department, and another middle-aged person who looked rather unfamiliar.

The middle-aged man’s facial expression was calm, moving slowly; however, Dong Chang sitting beside him was restless, like he had pimples on his buttocks, unable to sit still.

After knocking, Lu Cheng was responded to and gently pushed the door open, greeting each person.

Huang Haibo immediately stood up: ”Xiao Lu, you’re here.”

”Let me introduce you, this is Professor Gong from Zhejiang Second Hospital!”

”He’s truly an expert.”

”Good evening Professor Gong, I’m Lu Cheng from the emergency department.” Lu Cheng looked at Professor Gong politely.

Professor Gong had ordinary looks, common features, and a gentle temperament, but he had a rather extraordinary aura, calm and composed.

Professor Gong modestly stood up: ”Good day, Director Lu, I came here for you.”

”After finishing a surgery today and resting for a little while, I received a call from Director Yang of your hospital’s gastrointestinal surgery, saying your hospital’s situation is special, filled with talents.”

”Is there really no need to seek external help for this spleen repair surgery?”

Professor Gong’s voice was refined, but his eyes were filled with discomfort and frustration.

Zhejiang Second Hospital, is a presence that Xiangzhou People’s Hospital can barely catch a glimpse of the sole if they stand on tiptoes.

He’s a professor, a senior one, there, leisurely accepted a consultation invitation, painstakingly came to a remote region for a surgery, yet got subtly mocked by the director.

He felt bitten by a dog, and stuffed with fur.

Professor Gong wasn’t very angry or furious, he just wanted to confirm, how tough this local snake really was.

Or to say, how deep Xiangzhou People’s Hospital’s waters really are.

He previously knew that municipal hospitals had many bizarre figures, but he never encountered such a situation before.

Huang Haibo didn’t speak for a while, as he needed to think carefully about how to respond.

After all, he’s not Lu Cheng, and doesn’t quite understand the intricacies of surgical techniques.

Lu Cheng thought for a while, then smilingly replied, ”Professor Gong, maybe you misunderstood what Director Yang meant, or Director Yang misunderstood what our Director Huang meant.”

”There’s a misunderstanding here.”

”Our hospital’s categorization of illness differs from top teaching hospitals like Zhejiang Second.”

”It’s not professor responsibility system, but specialized responsibility system.”

”Currently, with the trust of the medical department, the category of spleen injury does indeed belong to our emergency department’s trauma center.”

”Our trauma center’s doctors on duty saw the diagnosis but didn’t see the patient, so they traced the situation.”

”I just truthfully reported the situation to Director Huang, who then reported it to the medical department.”

”Professor Gong, you should know that patients visiting the hospital have a first-diagnosis responsibility system, and our emergency department is the first diagnosis, it’s a collective.”

Professor Gong didn’t listen to Lu Cheng’s learned worldly skills: ”Frankly, you called not to imply that your work is not inferior to mine, right?”

”I came here today to seek insight.”

Upon hearing this, Dong Chang immediately spoke, ”Professor Gong, it’s like this.”

”You hold on, let me speak.” Professor Gong’s tone remained calm, as if being annoyed would at most result in him saying ’you’re so annoying.’

Lu Cheng knew that Professor Gong was indeed a bit annoyed, but hadn’t erupted.

Lu Cheng then said: ”Professor Gong, can we move somewhere else to talk?”

”No need, just say whatever you have straightforwardly.”

”I’m all ears.” Professor Gong showed great composure.

Lu Cheng didn’t speak, just silently opened his phone, found the surgery video, then played it, presenting it to Professor Gong.
