System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

”Director Lu, I’ve taken the photos. Please have a look...”

Lu Cheng leaned in closer.

Liu Nongqiu, after all, just graduated recently and lacks work experience. If any issue arises, it has to be figured out and remedied.

Liu Nongqiu took preoperative and postoperative photos of the patient.

During the procedure, since there was no one to assist, there were no photos taken.

Liu Nongqiu explained, ”Director Lu, there was no major bleeding. When I examined the patient, I didn’t find any functional impairment. There should be no vascular or nerve damage.”

”Over in the emergency room, they know we on the frontline are all recent graduates. For now, they’re only sending minor injuries.”

”I’ve heard that major traumas are directly sent to specialists to avoid disturbing your rest.”

Liu Nongqiu continued, ”I did tell the senior staff over there that you, Director Lu, had instructed we could bring cases to you while you’re on duty.”

”But they still say that you, Director Lu, need to be ready for relatively extreme cases and shouldn’t expend too much energy on ordinary patients during your rest.”

Lu Cheng’s gaze flickered, ”Who’s on duty in the emergency room today?”

”Director Tian Zhiliang and attending doctor Liang Jianhong,” Liu Nongqiu replied.

Lu Cheng nodded, ”Very good, very good. You must slowly build up your basic skills!”

”The techniques that Dai Linfang and I are doing, once you reach the learning threshold, we will definitely have you start learning right away.”

”It’s just not yet the time.”

Liu Nongqiu put away his phone, ”Director Lu, I understand.”

Then he lowered his voice, ”A few days ago, the surgical colleagues from our year who secured jobs here privately contacted me.”

”They wanted me to switch with them...”

”I just said, switching is impossible. I love the emergency department the most.”

Perhaps growing more familiar with Lu Cheng, Liu Nongqiu even started to joke around.

Lu Cheng glared, ”Say those kinds of things in private, but don’t let it bring me any trouble.”

”Rest assured, Director Lu. I wouldn’t dare speak carelessly.”

”On a personal level, following you is extremely beneficial for my career. Publicly, you’re very good to me, and the trauma center is the hospital’s priority for development.”

”I’m loyal to the emergency department!!” Liu Nongqiu expressed his ’sincerity’ in a tone befitting his age!

Lu Cheng nodded, also knowing when to offer both reward and reprimand, ”Study well, and study earnestly. There’s plenty to learn.”

”I may be biased, but not exclusively so. If others want to learn from me too, I’ll provide them with materials as well.”

”Whether it’s comprehensive or detailed is another story, but what should be given will be given.”

Upon hearing this, Liu Nongqiu instantly felt the pressure of urgency, ”Director Lu, I definitely won’t slack off.”

”I’m still loyal to the Suturing Skill! I love Suturing Skill, I love it the most; I’ve wanted to be a tailor since I was a kid!!”

”Focus on your work and stop joking around.” Seeing Liu Nongqiu’s comments growing more outlandish, Lu Cheng quickly turned to freshen up.

Liu Nongqiu then sat down properly.

When Lu Cheng finished washing his face, he discovered at 7:23, Du Hua’an sent him several videos.

The videos showed Du Hua’an’s own procedures, all recorded according to the detailed steps and standards previously sent by Lu Cheng.

Without any other information, no additional texts, and the videos even contained no commentary, Du Hua’an just sent the videos over.

After the duty shifts were finalized in the trauma center, considering Du Hua’an is a professional master with official status in the hospital, he leads on duty along with He Dongsheng, handling a day on his own.

The responsibility compares to veterans like Dai Linfang and Chen Fang!

Lu Cheng hadn’t spent much time with Du Hua’an.

With little interaction, and with staggered shifts, communication was limited.

Du Hua’an’s personality is different from Liu Nongqiu and Zhang Zixu. Liu Nongqiu tends to be more outgoing, enjoying jokes.

Zhang Zixu, under Chen Fang, tends to be a slick operator, sticking with Chen Fang but not reporting his learning progress, directly reaching out to Dai Linfang seeking better opportunities.

Du Hua’an, in contrast, belongs to the ”low-profile” faction!

Lu Cheng opened the video and watched it leisurely.

If judged by rigorous standards, Du Hua’an’s basic skills would certainly be eye-catching!

Details were lacking, performance wasn’t up to mark, and the control movements were also not standard.

But if examined more keenly with respect to his age!

The techniques mastered by twenty-six-year-old Du Hua’an were not much inferior to what Lu Cheng had at twenty-six, showcasing his talent.

So Lu Cheng opened a voice message and replied, ”Currently, your hand control is at a critical point. I understand you want me to help you break through that layer.”

”But I don’t recommend this, because your hands are your own, and breaking through on your own through repeated practice will benefit you much more in the future.”

”The fundamental stage core is about control: control over distance, over strength, over direction, over your own hands, and over movement...”

”Everything we learn, every method, every learning step is to serve these two words.”

”You need to have an absolute understanding of your hands, the instruments you’re holding, the tools the instruments are gripping, and the operations you plan to perform.”

”Besides theoretical understanding, there’s also personal experiential understanding. Make it, to some extent, become your instinct, that’s the learning process of basic skills.”

”The more understanding you have, the deeper your future surgical development can go!”
