System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

Lu Cheng didn’t know what kind of genius would not answer, but he’s sure he wouldn’t dare to.

Lu Cheng approached Huang Chunhai’s side and reported, ”Dean Huang, it’s not busy now, they will call if there’s anything.”

Huang Chunhai nodded, Lu Cheng is now in charge, a leader should look like a leader.

When there are people to rely on, one should not do everything oneself, or they won’t achieve great things.

How many nails can an iron body drive?

Lu Cheng being able to say this calmly represents a certain level of leadership ability, which is also an important quality of a leader: ”Are there any difficulties in work and life?”

Huang Chunhai wondered if there was something implied.

Lu Cheng shook his head and reported truthfully: ”Dean Huang, everything is pretty good.”

”The former leaders, the current leaders, the big brothers and brothers in the department, all take good care of me.”

No matter how the external environment is, the people Lu Cheng meets are getting better and better.

Whether it’s Xiao Zhaoxi, Huang Haibo, or Tian Zhiliang, as well as the directors of trauma surgery and hand surgery, all have been very helpful to Lu Cheng.

In shallow waters, there are many turtles; in the deep sea, the small turtles would have suffocated long ago.

Of course, if I were a half bucket of water, the turtles would surely jump into the bucket.

”What about other aspects? How does the trauma center feel?” Huang Haibo asked again.

Lu Cheng replied: ”It just feels like we are short-staffed, the on-call pressure is quite high, and we currently only have three shifts rotating.”

”In the first half of the month, because of the hospital’s care, we were only handling primary conditions, which felt okay.”

”But today, it feels quite pressured.”

”Moreover, in two and a half months, the two professors from the Provincial People’s Hospital have to return. If there’s still no suitable person to take over by then, it might be even more difficult to operate.”

”Some data will become jagged again.” Lu Cheng responded truthfully.

He is just one person, not a perpetual motion machine, tirelessly working in the hospital without eating or sleeping.

Lu Cheng couldn’t do such things.

You can have passion, you can sacrifice, but not your life.

Life is given by parents, and you can’t just throw it away no matter what.

”The hospital is also considering this matter.”

”But recruiting an associate senior is very difficult, and finding a suitable one is even harder.”

”Xiangzhou is too remote, the economic development is poor, the benefits we can offer are limited, and if we want people from higher-level hospitals to transfer, we rely on their personal feelings.”

”Requesting a lateral transfer from an equivalent hospital makes no sense.”

”Transferring people from lower hospitals makes even less sense.”

Huang Chunhai walked slowly: ”Although they’re all brothers among prefectural hospitals, each tends to their own, and everyone has family burdens.”

”Although there’s no conflict, everyone works for themselves.”

”Thus, we can only hope to train our own people.”

”Moreover, we hope the people we train won’t leave, it’s best if they can stay.”

”Only the family members can truly understand the difficulties at home.”

Lu Cheng’s eyes flickered, unsure if Huang Chunhai was being sarcastic with him, or hinting for him not to leave.

Lu Cheng smiled and said: ”Dean Huang, it’s like this. If the trauma center is to develop long-term, it must cultivate its people, simply asking others to contribute is nearly impossible.”

”Of course, a home is always a home, but if you step back, every home is a home.”

”Only by finding the right position and accurately defining one’s role can one be more effective for everyone.”

”Like you, Dean Huang, haven’t you had to some extent sacrifice your small family for the big family?”

Is being a leader a good thing?

It must be good, otherwise, everyone wouldn’t strive to become a leader.

Is being a leader absolutely good? It has to be seen relatively.

As the dean of Xiangzhou People’s Hospital, he surely cannot attend to things at home, the various pressures the hospital faces, various inspections, various matters, all require his attention.

Moreover, he has to think about the hospital’s development plans, if a step goes wrong, his position becomes unstable.

What he sees every day, beyond the cases in the cardiology department, are also the hospital’s mortality rate, surgical levels, the proportion of high-difficulty surgeries.

Data on other hospitals, comprehensive data from hospitals across the province and various documents...

”Dr. Lu, do you already have a long-term plan for your life?” Huang Chunhai understood Lu Cheng’s meaning.

Lu Cheng said: ”Not really a long-term plan, I’m just an ordinary person.”

”Dean Huang, I just want to be an ordinary person, have a wife and kids by a warm stove.”

”My wife is currently in Han City, I’m striving not to be apart from her, but I also don’t want to hinder her career.”

Mu Nanshu’s presence is the most exemplary reason for Lu Cheng’s progress!

No one would break up a couple saying long-distance isn’t an issue.

Huang Chunhai also understood Lu Cheng’s background, otherwise, he would have personally intervened, rather than entrusting someone to persuade Lu Cheng: ”That’s true, with your ability, even at a top hospital like Union Hospital, you could manage, maybe even quite well.”

”However, I also hope that Dr. Lu in the future will still remember our hospital, and if the opportunity arises, consider helping our hospital’s development.”

Lu Cheng said: ”Dean Huang, if there’s an opportunity at that time, I will certainly help as much as I can.”

”Just hope that Dean Huang will make things a bit more convenient by then.”

Lu Cheng has thought about the future.

Going to Union Hospital, he might not even come across some simple conditions, so the topics he needs to work on would still need to be conducted at Xiangzhou People’s Hospital.

At this time, if he leaves, and if a leader in the hospital gets a bit irrational and decides to cause trouble, Lu Cheng will also feel troubled.
