The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 751: Chapter 751: Probably Went Off to Mess Around Again_1

Emilia Sullivan stood beside her, watching her drink milk. After a moment of silence, she suddenly brought up, ”By the way, Ghania, did you see Nathalie today...”

Ghania knew that Ghania had sent Nathalie an invitation. She had been busy all day entertaining guests and hadn’t had the energy to pay attention to who had come and who hadn’t.

Now, she suddenly thought of it and asked Ghania.

Before she could finish speaking, Ghania slowly set down the mug in her hand. Her gentle eyes seemed quite indifferent. Without waiting for her to finish, she said, ”She didn’t come.”

”She didn’t come? She...” Emilia instinctively furrowed her brows, her face unmistakably showing a look of distaste.

Ghania bent down to place the cup on the tea table. Her gentle gaze seemed to casually mention, ”I asked her classmates and they said she has taken a long leave from school.”

”She’s taking time off so close to the college entrance exams.”

After Emilia spoke, she realized that Nathalie, like Ghania, didn’t need to take the college entrance exams and could get into a prestigious university, with even higher grades than Ghania.

The frustration from dinner resurfaced and she felt extremely uncomfortable, yet she had to forcibly maintain a facade, pretending to be as indifferent about the matter as Ghania was.

”She must be getting mixed up in trouble again!”

Emilia, discontent in her heart, spoke with a naturally unfriendly tone, ”That’s just the kind of person she is, never staying put for a day. If she weren’t getting into mischief outside, she wouldn’t even know people like Silvania Ingram.”

Mentioning Pinecone Group and Silvania Ingram was like a fishbone stuck in her throat; every time she thought about it, it was unbearable.

She obviously had no good feelings toward Nathalie and said coldly, ”Let her mingle then. I want to see what she can turn into. The Zachmann family hasn’t acknowledged her existence to this day. When you get to Beijing, you’ll have your uncles to support you. Without a backer, she’ll be nothing. Beijing is full of hidden dragons and crouching tigers, brimming with talent. Once she’s in Beijing, she’ll realize that Silvania Ingram is nothing at all there! If she still thinks she can swagger around Beijing like she does in McKinney based on her connections with Silvania Ingram, she’s dreaming!”

Ghania didn’t join in the conversation, but the corners of her mouth curled up.

Not speaking was as good as agreeing.

Emilia, always upset when it came to Nathalie, simply didn’t want to think about it and spoke to Ghania, who was looking down, ”Right, Ghania, you just mentioned that Lighten Chaser music. You should start preparing soon. You must prepare in advance if you can, to avoid any disadvantages later.”

”I know, Mom, don’t worry about it.” Ghania hadn’t coaxed her by linking arms for a long time, but this time she did, gazing up at her with a playful and shy smile, ”Zayn has found me a music teacher, also a talented graduate from the Tsinghua University Music Department. It’s someone from the Tanzil family connection. I’ll discuss it with the teacher and see what they suggest.”

Upon hearing this, Emilia’s heart settled down. She patted Ghania’s arm and smiled slightly, ”It’s good that you’re confident. I believe in you.”

”Hmm.”

Ghania reigned in the pride in her eyes and lowered her eyelashes.

As long as Lighten Chaser didn’t show up, she was confident she wouldn’t lose to anyone. She was set on being the star of this music exchange event!

As for the future in Beijing, she wasn’t afraid of Nathalie either.

Nathalie was enrolled in the least prestigious department at Tsinghua, Chinese Medicine, while she was majoring in Music and minoring in Finance. Both majors in college were popular, and it wasn’t yet clear who would shine more!

Beijing, The Ninth Institute.

Nathalie had no idea that even in her absence from McKinney, she was still on people’s minds.
