The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 756: Chapter 756: Nathalie: How about I go up_1

According to the original plan, Wallace Radcliff should take the USB flash drive to the auditorium, and in front of the visiting scientific research organizations from overseas, showcase the Autonomous Driving operating system in 15 minutes.

But now everything was messed up.

The USB flash drive was completely unusable, and even if Radcliff went ahead with the presentation, using such a USB flash drive in front of many foreign experts, he would still disgrace The Ninth Institute.

Radcliff understood this, clenched his teeth, and anxiously grabbed at his hair, ”This won’t work, that won’t work, I can’t possibly go up there without the USB flash drive.”

Xavier Rabenstein, Mario Cagwin, and others fell silent.

Especially Xavier Rabenstein, who stood still, unable to speak for a long while, likely due to self-reproach. His scarred face turned red with frustration; he walked to the side, punched the wall, and holding his head, he muttered in a muffled voice, ”It’s all my fault. If only I had solved the bug earlier, it wouldn’t have come to this.”

Alfred Garland placed a hand on his shoulder, silently comforting him, ”Xavier, don’t be like this, no one wanted it to turn out this way.”

”But...” Xavier’s eyes were red, showing just how much he blamed himself.

Radcliff also felt terrible and slammed the desk again. He took out his phone, indecisive about whether or not to report the situation to Amadeus Yancey.

He really didn’t want to tell Amadeus that there was a problem in the tech department until the last moment.

After all...

After all, they had managed to successfully create autonomous driving technology that could be proudly demonstrated overseas as proof of the domestic technology level.

But the result turned out like this.

Had he known this would happen, it would have been better not to set this process in motion, so as to avoid such public embarrassment.

Nathalie Quinlan had been silent all along, quietly typing at the keyboard, clearing a Trojan virus from the programming software. She pressed the final Enter key, and the computer began to automatically dismantle the Trojan program...

Only then did she take her hands off the keyboard, leaning back in her chair, she scanned the tense faces of everyone present, her dark eyes narrowed slightly, and she suddenly said to the burly man.

”Why don’t I go up?”

”Ms. Quinlan?” Radcliff was stunned for a moment, not catching on.

Alfred Garland was also taken aback and reacted faster than him. Upon hearing Nathalie’s willingness to replace Radcliff, his first reaction was one of delight, but then it turned into concern and unease, ”Miss Quinlan, you... you want to replace Mr. Radcliff and demonstrate the autonomous driving system?”

”Is that not okay?”

”It’s not that it’s not okay...”

This was a significant matter.

The people of The Ninth Institute took it very seriously.

There was absolutely no need for Nathalie to step forward.

After all, if the demonstration didn’t go well, it could make Nathalie a target of criticism from all sides.

Privately, Alfred Garland was more inclined to support Nathalie and certainly didn’t want her to get caught up in this mess.

On one hand, he wished Nathalie would go forth, as he was very aware of her personal abilities. If Miss Quinlan was willing to take Radcliff’s place, there was a chance that she could resolve the whole situation smoothly.

”I’m just afraid...”

”There’s nothing to be afraid of,” Nathalie said calmly and composedly, ”Don’t worry, I wrote the program. If I go up, I won’t be in a panic, and I can also buy time to fix the Trojan on the USB flash drive.”

”Or are you saying you can find a second person right now who can solve the Trojan virus problem here?”

With that said, Alfred Garland fell silent.

Because there wasn’t one!

Apart from Nathalie Quinlan, there was no second person at The Ninth Institute who could solve the Trojan virus!

The solution proposed by Nathalie was the only way.

Radcliff was also unusually quiet, exchanging glances with Xavier. They hoped she could resolve the issue smoothly but were worried about dragging her into it.
