The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 773: Chapter 773: Nathalie, have you heard anything in Beijing _1

Upon hearing the name of that oblivious elder, Master Cadmus’s face twitched involuntarily, and as he looked at Nathalie Quinlan, he found himself at a loss for words.

Shawn Norton.

He was the leading music master in the country, arguably the number one figure in domestic music, an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, highly revered in the national music circle, and enjoying a significant status internationally as well.

Shawn Norton was indeed a teacher at Tsinghua University, but only in name as an honorary professor.

Unlike Mr. Avalon from the Chinese Medicine Department, Shawn Norton hadn’t taught a single day at Tsinghua University since he assumed the title of honorary professor!

This time his return to Tsinghua University... was clearly for one student, Nathalie Quinlan!

Nathalie’s major teacher in the Chinese Medicine Department was the famous Mr. Avalon, while her minor in music was mentored by Shawn Norton... Master Cadmus finally understood why Nathalie decided to study at Tsinghua University and why she kept refusing him by saying she couldn’t find the time.

Indeed, students mentored by these two teachers wouldn’t be able to skip classes and find the time to come to his place.

However, the more it was like this, the more Master Cadmus felt an urge to compete, since in terms of domestic status, his achievements in his own field were not to be underestimated either.

”You must be busy during your freshman and sophomore years of college, but starting from the second half of your sophomore year, your courses will decrease, and then you can come over to my place. Biomedical engineering is no less significant than Chinese Medicine or music; once you delve into it, you’ll find working on reactors far more interesting than working on music.”

”Hmm.” Nathalie thought about the ammunition reactor he’d been working on that day, and as she looked at his ’our field is also interesting’ expression, she didn’t completely refuse, but she also didn’t give a definite response, ”Can we see how it goes later?”

”Alright, of course.” Master Cadmus had already discussed this matter with her previously. He raised the subject again only because Nathalie was about to leave, fearing he might not find another opportunity to talk about it.

After chatting a few more sentences with him, Master Cadmus rushed back to the laboratory to keep an eye on the project he was working on.

Nathalie Quinlan did not dawdle either. She picked up her belongings and casually walked out of the Ninth Institute’s laboratory while playing with her phone, her head bowed.

Acupuncture for Master Cadmus until he woke up had taken nearly two hours.

She guessed that Amadeus Yancey must have finished up by now.

Nathalie Quinlan checked the messages on her phone, but neither Alfred Garland nor Wallace Radcliff had informed her about the final decision regarding Phoebe Hoffman.

She wasn’t particularly interested in how The Ninth Institute would handle the matter of Phoebe Hoffman implanting a Trojan into the USB flash drive, so she didn’t bother to send a message to inquire about it.

Since it was probably time for the No. 1 Middle School to finish classes, she opened her phone after replying to a message from Jhovany Sullivan and saw that Jhovany Sullivan had sent her quite a few more messages.

Nathalie Quinlan scrolled through them one by one.

The girl chattered about the recent situation in the class, like how everyone’s scores had improved during the monthly test, with the class average going up by about 20 points; Nancy Sullivan was so pleased that she treated them to a meal...

Also, Freddy Cagwin had made the most progress this time, leaping from about 620 in the mock test to scoring an impressive 680, a 60-point improvement within a month, prompting everyone to speculate whether he’d choose Tsinghua University or Southern University for his future studies.

In addition, Jhovany Sullivan chatted about various bits of gossip around the school, such as other schools coming to No. 1 Middle School to poach students amidst the approaching college entrance exams, with several top students from Class B being lured away.

And then there was the star gossip that all the girls liked to talk about.

[Nathalie, did you hear anything while you were in Beijing...]

Hear what?

Her message had only loaded halfway when her nose bumped into a firm chest. Nathalie Quinlan, caught off guard, stumbled and nearly tripped.

A sturdy arm promptly encircled her waist and pulled her back, with the familiar scent of the man’s cologne enveloping her.

Just the smell was enough to make one’s heart flutter and mind race.
