The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 792: Chapter 792: Nathalie: Why Should I Be Nervous_1

Ghania Quinlan’s thoughts were abruptly pulled back, and she returned to reality, meeting Ivy Wilmar’s gaze. She pursed her lips and said, ”I saw someone familiar.”

”Who?”

Ghania’s eyes twinkled for a long time before she finally said, ”Nathalie.”

”?”

”I think I saw her go into the Imperial Hotel with a man.” Ghania rested her hand on the car door and looked up. The manager and the man and woman who had just gotten out of the car had already gone in, and she couldn’t see them anymore. Hesitating for a moment, she added in a low voice, ”I’m not sure if I saw wrong...”

”You must have seen wrong!” As soon as Ghania finished speaking, Ivy Wilmar interrupted her without a care, ”You must be hallucinating from being too busy lately. Nathalie would never show up in such a place. Haven’t I told you that the people who booked the Imperial Hotel today are all wealthy and prestigious? How could she know these people? Get in the car quickly, Master Steven is waiting for us. Don’t waste time!”

”...” Ghania bit the corner of her lip, then finally raised her gaze again toward the Imperial Hotel, withdrew her sight, and whispered softly, ”You’re right.”

She stopped thinking about it, got in the car, and closed the car door.

Inside the Imperial Hotel.

The manager led the two of them through the long corridor with light feet, stopping outside a private room, and said softly, ”Amadeus, Mr. Yancey and the others are already inside.”

”Hmm, I know. I’ll go in by myself, you go ahead with your business,” Amadeus Yancey, with his striking eyes and brows, looked even more outstanding today and seemed to be in a good mood as he spoke.

”Alright.”

Before leaving, the manager stole a quick glance in Nathalie’s direction and then quickly averted his gaze as if afraid of being discovered, and scurried away without a trace.

Nathalie had been playing with her phone, but his glance was too obvious to miss.

After replying to a message, Nathalie arched her eyebrows, feeling quite restless as she pocketed her phone, and whispered to the man beside her, ”Have your grandparents arrived?”

”It seems so.”

”Then let’s go in.”

”Wait a moment.” Amadeus caught her naturally, looked down, raised his hand, and brushed the short hair from her forehead, his eyes as tender as the milky way that could drown someone in it, ”Your hair is a bit messy, let me fix it for you.”

His fingertips, slightly rough, accidentally or perhaps intentionally brushed against the girl’s fair forehead, touching it once before moving away as lightly as a dragonfly skimming the water.

She didn’t resist.

This time, she didn’t frown either.

Amadeus curled his thin lips, feeling more and more pleased, letting his arm drop to his side, casual and laid-back, ”We’re about to go in, feeling nervous?”

”Hmm?” Nathalie hadn’t noticed his small action. Or perhaps his frequent gestures recently had become so commonplace that she no longer found them out of the ordinary. Instead, she found his question interesting, lifting her eyelids with a wild charm, ”Why should I be nervous?”

Amadeus Yancey: ...

Seeing him speechless from her retort, Nathalie, with a wicked glint in her eyes, walked ahead languidly and said, ”Didn’t you say you’re here for everything?”

”Since you’re here, I don’t seem to have any need to be nervous.”

Her voice was slightly husky, obviously mocking him, but Amadeus felt an unexplained softness in his heart. He opened the door for her and said in a low voice, ”You’re right.”

Nathalie just felt his breath brush past her earlobe, and before she could recover from his ”You’re right,” she was already facing several pairs of eyes inside the private room.

Edric Yancey reacted the fastest, immediately noticing the people at the door, and excitedly dropped his chopsticks, his little face flushing red as he called out, ”Sister!”
