The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 796: Chapter 796: Haha, Why Does He Have an Uncle_1

Fortunately, Nathalie Quinlan didn’t mind, showing only a moment of surprise before she put down her chopsticks and politely replied, ”No.”

”No?” Candice Yancey responded subconsciously, clearly caring quite a bit about the answer to this question, her eyes drifting involuntarily toward her nephew, giving off a vibe of ’you really are disappointing’.

Amadeus Yancey, however, kept his cool, completely ignoring her glance, and without leaving a trace, he helped Nathalie adjust the air conditioner in the private room up a degree. After putting down the remote, his tranquil and composed demeanor reassured Candice Yancey and she relaxed again.

Mr. Yancey wasn’t ready to give up, ”Then... what type do you like?”

Nathalie genuinely raised her eyebrows in surprise this time, not understanding why he was so concerned about whether she had a boyfriend or about her type...

She actually lowered her gaze to ponder seriously for a while and, after a long moment under several watchful eyes, she tilted her head to the side and suddenly looked towards the little guy next to her, her black eyes earnest, ”Like Edric?”

Edric Yancey never expected Nathalie to say she liked him. His small hand clenched the corner of his clothes, his little face flushing red in an instant, almost as red as a ripe apple, as if he was about to emit smoke.

Even so, his large eyes blinked furiously, unable to contain his excitement as he said in a soft voice, ”I, I also like girls who are like Sister.”

In the end, he quickly glanced at Nathalie again, nodding his head as if afraid someone would miss it, ”...Sister is my favorite!”

As he spoke, he shyly lowered his head, his pink blush spreading from his cheeks down to his neck, clearly extremely embarrassed.

Ha! Amadeus Yancey narrowed his eyes, his hand resting on the table as he casually toyed with the Buddhist beads tassel on his wrist and said indifferently, ”How come I remember you once said that you didn’t like girls?”

”Don’t like girls?” Nathalie was quite surprised.

”...” Edric Yancey suddenly looked up, his grape-like eyes fixing on his uncle, and as Nathalie looked away, he set his cute little face in an expression, not bothering to wrinkle his brow, ”Oh, I was young back then, ignorant due to my youth, not as sensible as Little Uncle at his age.”

”Pfft.” The Yancey family butler, standing at the back, couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Candice Yancey and Mr. Yancey were also amused beyond words.

Only Amadeus Yancey was caught off guard, unable to respond for a while, but he was only momentarily outmaneuvered. His eyes quickly began to shimmer again and he casually glanced at the little guy, saying, ”Hmm, indeed you’re still young. So you’re about twenty years too early to join a discussion about liking someone.”

Edric Yancey: ”...”

Why did he have to have an uncle?

After dinner, Candice Yancey and Mr. Yancey left first.

Nathalie followed Amadeus Yancey to the garage to get the car.

All the way, she bowed her head, engrossed in her phone, as Sadam Vinson sent her a message, challenging her to a game, which Nathalie unhesitatingly turned down.

Having refused Sadam Vinson, she checked her other messages.

Nancy Sullivan had sent her a message, a rare occurrence, asking when she would return to school.

Nathalie, still looking down, was typing a message back to Nancy Sullivan when she was suddenly blocked and found herself cornered between two cars.

”Like them young?”

Nathalie abruptly raised her head, almost bumping into his chin. Although the collision didn’t happen, her situation hadn’t improved much.

She felt as if she were trapped between his chest, the atmosphere tense and charged.

She curbed the mischievous look in her eyes, somewhat annoyed as she put down her phone, and met his gaze straight on, her eyes half-closed, and in her black pupils was an unconcealed casualness, ”Hmm? Like who young?”
