The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 800: Chapter 800: Spying on Nathalie Quinlan Outside Class A As She Goes Back

”Ghania, Ghania.”

On the other end of the phone, Kelly Giovanni saw that she didn’t speak for a long time and didn’t hang up, so she called her a few times.

”Hmm?” Ghania Quinlan came back to her senses, and when she made the phone call again, she had calmed down a lot, ”What’s up?”

Kelly Giovanni started somewhat awkwardly, ”Well... I’m still in class, sneaked out, I need to get back quickly, otherwise if Mr. Liu notices I haven’t returned, he’ll definitely have words for me.”

Ghania looked at her with disdain, her plight not a concern of hers, and feigned interest for a moment before saying, ”Oh right, there’s another thing, I wanted to ask you. Did you check Twitter yesterday? It’s about Lighten Chaser’s verified tweet, didn’t she retweet Wayne Baker’s statement and then mention Audrick Zachmann, saying Audrick is her brother. Has there been any buzz at school?”

She suspected Lighten Chaser was Nathalie Quinlan, but it was just a thought, without direct evidence.

Kelly Giovanni said, confused, ”Any buzz about what?”

At times Ghania really looked down on her slow intellect, patiently pressing on in a softer tone, ”About who Lighten Chaser might be.”

”Isn’t Audrick Zachmann Nathalie’s brother? He even visited our school. Lighten Chaser also said she’s Audrick’s sister, hasn’t the crowd in Class A mentioned this?”

Kelly Giovanni shook her head instinctively then remembered she couldn’t see, and quickly added, ”No. I haven’t heard anyone bring it up. Ghania, are you saying Nathalie is Lighten Chaser? Uhh, really? If she is Lighten Chaser, why wouldn’t she say so?”

Ghania could tell at a glance that she was the kind of person who knew nothing at all, didn’t pursue the topic further, lowered her eyes, concealed the anxiety in their depths, and changed the subject, ”Aren’t you supposed to be getting back to class? Go on, before the teacher scolds you.”

Kelly Giovanni had been out for quite a while and was afraid of being questioned by the teacher upon her return, and even though she wanted to talk more with her, she didn’t dare to waste any time.

”Then I’m heading back.”

Ghania knew how to win people over and said softly, ”Thank you, Kelly Giovanni. When I get back to McKinney, I’ll treat you to a meal.”

”Aren’t we friends? It’s nothing. You don’t need to be polite with me,” the girl’s voice was cheerful and brisk, and then filled with worry, ”I won’t talk more, heading back now.”

”Bye.”

Ghania Quinlan hung up the phone and put down her phone; she faced the mirror again to fix her makeup, and then saw a text message from Kelly Giovanni.

[Ghania, congratulations on winning the gold prize, I forgot to tell you on the phone, I just knew you were better than that Nathalie!]

Ghania replied with an expressionless ”Thanks” just to get it over with and tossed the phone back into her handbag, haughtily touched up her lipstick, and went back to the private room where Ivy Wilmar and the others were.

When Kelly Giovanni returned to the classroom, the period had just ended, the bell rang, and she was called to the teacher’s office by the chemistry teacher.

Walking with her head down, following behind the teacher, she passed Class A and remembered the question Ghania had asked her during the phone call. She couldn’t help but crane her neck and look into Class A’s classroom...

Class had just been dismissed.

The teacher, holding a cup of water in one hand and a textbook in the other, left the classroom, and the students instantly scattered like birds from a bush, some heading to the restroom, others to their seats looking for people.

Tip-toeing for a better view into the back of the classroom, she saw Nathalie’s seat still empty and felt relieved.

The chemistry teacher just happened to turn back and see her craning her neck this way and that, and reprimanded her with a couple of words.

Kelly Giovanni stopped looking around and closely followed the teacher’s steps toward the office.

...

In Class A.

Jhovany Sullivan noticed her peering around outside the classroom, looking for someone.
