Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Even Chen Ming could get several fake identities in different locations within the Empire, if he wanted.

Of course, there’s no need for that right now.

Chen Ming was just feeling a bit sentimental.

In short, An Wuping completely infiltrated the Empire from that day, disguising himself as a bounty hunter occasionally active in the Edge Star Realm.

All the way until today.

It is time for An Wuping to truly take action.

The target is the ecological Space Station previously identified as Zuo Jing’s base.

Once there, the rest will be simple.

An Wuping, as Chen Ming’s alter ego, can freely use his Spiritual Energy.

As long as An Wuping gets a chance to infiltrate the Space Station, even if he can’t directly use Spiritual Energy effects that would expose Chen Ming, even those effects that won’t expose him will be more than enough.

Chen Ming already has a plan completely ready.

As Chen Ming closed his eyes and opened them again.

He has already transferred his primary consciousness to An Wuping.

He is now controlling An Wuping’s body, seated in that Sentinel Level Frigate, which was bought and violently modified some time ago for single-person operation.

This Frigate is very close to the target Zuo Jing’s base.

Moreover, the destination is near the Edge Star Realm; although it is not the Edge Star Realm, its overall development level is also not too high.

As a result, the surrounding Superspace Channels are often empty, with only Chen Ming’s Sentinel stationed here, not easily discovering what Chen Ming plans to do next.

Likewise, this area has many dense Superspace Channel clouds.

And Chen Ming’s current objective is precisely these swirling, deep purple, and thunderous Superspace Channel clouds.

He needs to actively venture into the cloud layer, letting the ship be damaged to a certain extent.

Because his goal, although it is Zuo Jing’s base, superficially appears to be an ecological observation Space Station.

In such places, there’s no need for anyone to come over without purpose.

After all, this isn’t the Edge Star Realm, it’s not the Empire’s border, nor is it a Mining Space Station where Chen Ming used to be.

Locations like Mining Space Station near the Empire’s border, with sparse Space Stations and colonies nearby, can occasionally provide passing ships with supplies and maintenance help.

But an ecological observatory station, which doesn’t belong to Edge Star Realm, it’s in a developing Star Realm’s Space Station, there is no reason to bear those responsibilities.

Unless... there’s an SOS signal.

For ordinary people passing by in ships, they aren’t obligated to rescue when receiving an SOS signal.

However, facilities like Space Stations, even if not funded by the government, purely invested by some company, must take on rescue obligations when receiving an SOS signal.

Two colonies that Chen Ming just acquired are the same; if someone sends an SOS signal within or near the Star System where those colonies are located, in the Superspace region of the Star System, Chen Ming will be obligated to have the colonies send out the appropriate rescue fleet.

So what Chen Ming is looking for now is for this Space Station to receive an SOS signal attentively.

Of course, he cannot send an SOS signal in Superspace just then, it’s too unpredictable; it’s best to release the SOS signal after entering the Star System.

This requires more detailed planning, still filled with uncertainty, so relying solely on theories and plans is insufficient, it’s also up to his on-the-spot reactions.

Now Chen Ming has only one thing to do.

Which is to create a fault in the directional cruise system on this rundown Sentinel.

Chen Ming did so, followed by the Sentinel driving with an autopilot system tumbling into the cloud layers surrounding the Superspace Channel, completely engulfed by the clouds flashing with Superspace lightning.

The spacecraft continues to collide with and rub against the clouds, causing Superspace lightning to strike the outer armor of the spacecraft even more frequently.

Sentinel Level ships, being second-hand, are vulnerable even with the militarized subsystem installed.

Moreover, it’s undergone rough modifications, and within seconds, various components of the ship promptly showed numerous problems.

First, the ship’s central control system malfunctioned due to strong electromagnetic interference from Superspace lightning, and Chen Ming immediately lost the ability to use electronic equipment to control the ship further, relying only on manual devices to adjust the ship’s course.

Then, the fragile outer layer of the cargo hold, specifically thinned by Chen Ming, was penetrated by Superspace lightning, causing a massive vacuum extraction of cheap supplies Chen Ming had purchased, disappearing into the clouds.

Some supplies were even destroyed by lightning right before Chen Ming’s eyes, captured by the few remaining sensors on the ship’s exterior within the Superspace cloud layer.

As parts of the armor and hull near the cargo hold were damaged, the areas of lightning damage on the ship increased.

Until the outer armor and hull where the life support system was located were gradually destroyed.

Causing the spacecraft to completely lose its protective role for humans.

Without wearing Protective Suits or similar gear, it would be impossible to survive aboard the spacecraft.

Even inside the spacecraft, in many places, Superspace lightning periodically passed through.

The spacecraft shuddered.

But this is precisely the effect Chen Ming wanted.

He had already had An Wuping don Power Armor and had strengthened the protective performance of the modified main control room.
