Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

”In this case, if someone really passes the review, you should take them on. Such talents willing to work under you are not ones you should refuse, right?”

”The rest of the ordinary people can’t pass the review anyway, so there’s nothing to say.”

Chen Ming was somewhat dissatisfied with Bai Quan’s statement and retorted, ”Can’t we just raise the standards? Just say that we’re fully staffed and only need high-level management talents.”

”That’s not possible.”

Bai Quan decisively gave Chen Ming a negative response, ”Even though you’re a Psychic, you at least need to give people a reasonable face-saving excuse.”

”Many know about the use of Dusk Core within the Empire, but it’s not officially acknowledged. So once your industrial colony is rebuilt, even if there are only tens of thousands of people, it’s impossible to claim it’s already saturated.”

”You must have an excuse, and with that excuse, everything else can be handled.”

”In colonies within the Empire, you must follow the Empire’s rules. Setting up a branch for appearances sake keeps everyone happy. ”

”Besides, think about it, didn’t you just visit that research colony? How do you compare the conditions there with your current colony?”

Without needing to recall comparisons, Chen Ming answered directly, ”They’re not of the same era.”

”You know this, right? Then let me say it more bluntly: where will capable researchers go?”

Bai Quan paused for a moment after speaking, to allow Chen Ming to understand his meaning.

”So once you set the standards, you needn’t worry about anyone coming over just to cause trouble.”

As Bai Quan spoke, his voice suddenly dropped, ”Regarding your previous plans to fully relocate the heavy industry colony’s residents.”

”This matter is technically impossible, but you’re a Psychic. As long as you quickly get this done, turning raw rice into cooked rice without giving others the chance to stop it, it won’t be a problem.”

”As long as there’s no large-scale social incident afterwards, no one would dare or bother to question your actions.”

”I can also give you a piece of advice: remember to demolish all the residential areas within the heavy industry colony after relocating the people.”

”Anyway, with the Dusk Core at your disposal, it doesn’t matter if you have people or not.”

”As long as you don’t have such places for ordinary people to reside, you won’t be providing residential areas, thus there’s no need to accept outside population.”

”This situation arises from objective conditions affecting your colony, rather than your intentional refusal to let people in.”

”Besides, it’s your decision on the development direction of your own colony. As long as the general category remains unchanged, a heavy industry colony remains a heavy industry colony; you can do whatever you want.”

”Once you dismantle the residential areas and don’t rebuild them, no one can force you to put them back up.”

”It’s also exploiting a legal loophole.”

”But remember, you must arrange proper relocation for the heavy industry colony residents, whether to the light industry colony or making arrangements with others to send them away. You must ensure their proper settlement.”

”If these people cause large-scale problems, everything said earlier becomes useless talk, and your colony ownership is at risk of confiscation for legal violations.”

After Bai Quan finished speaking, Chen Ming pondered for a moment and responded, ”Got it, as long as people are properly settled, I can handle everything else—that gives me peace of mind, thanks.”

Chen Ming ended the communication and continued with the tasks at hand.

Meanwhile, He Gu was sitting in the same shuttle boat with Bai Quan, quietly observing all this unfold while calculating Chen Ming’s Spiritual Power using the terminal in his hands.

Just witnessing the turbulent Spiritual Energy Fluctuation around Chen Ming and the metal liquid sweeping across the entire colony.

He Gu had already drawn a dramatic conclusion that the amount of Spiritual Power Chen Ming possessed was far more than what simulations suggested and was beyond his prior estimations.

Either his talent is even more extraordinary, or he has access to great resources for Psychic Spiritual Energy training.

He Gu quietly calculated, concluding that it’s a combination of both.

It was then that a Destroyer Level cargo ship suddenly appeared in the sky, slowly descending directly beside Chen Ming.

This ship, reported by Bai Quan earlier, was loaded with cargo consisting of Gamma and Beta Level Dusk Cores, which Chen Ming seldom could transfer directly via Spiritual Energy over long distances.

These cores were soon to be installed by Chen Ming into the industrial zone, managing industrial operations and overseeing colony operations as well as the colony’s personnel.

In handling such tasks, Dusk is much more useful than humans.

Humans have to consider if they harbor any ulterior motives or get entangled with Zuo Jing in the future.

But Dusk is different; they are intimately connected with Chen Ming and won’t betray him until he falls.

Dusk will exhaustively help manage all aspects of the colony for him, including Zuo Jing.

Shortly after the cargo ship landed, the overwhelming metal liquid gradually extended from the industrial zone’s edge to the residential area’s perimeter.

After flattening the entire residential area, industrial buildings and facilities gradually rose over the original residential area site.

The product of humanity’s technological and industrial power that typically required months or even years to construct materialized from nothing within a few short hours under Chen Ming’s singular force in the colony.
