Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

This is the Psychic.

The gradually emerging industrial buildings expanded from the original structures and eventually reached the scale that Chen Ming had achieved in the simulation after some time.

However, Chen Ming did not stop. Instead, he continued to use the large amount of materials stored at the temporary base to fill in some gaps, further expanding the colony’s area by approximately 10%.

The total area occupied by the expanded industrial zone was now three times its previous size.

However, compared to the basic industrial area, the additional extended part only occupied a little more than half of the original residential area.

Things were not over yet, as Chen Ming had just completely demolished the residential area before.

The new residential area was, as before, in a circular shape surrounding the industrial zone.

And based on the perennial wind direction determined by the overall climate, the downwind area of the industrial zone was left undeveloped as a residential area, leaving a large space to construct a wide road connecting from the Earth Core Melting Furnace Power Tower to beyond the colony.

Whether used directly for transportation or for the transport of supplies, it was no problem.

Moreover, it seemed that the design of the colony had previously considered similar issues.

The downwind direction happened to be the location of the previously abandoned Space Elevator docked by Chen Ming’s Stardust Level, which made it convenient for Chen Ming to carry out further transformations and to repair all valuable things in the entire colony later on.

In the simulation, Chen Ming only conducted maintenance and expansion of the colony, and the real-life wagering agreement only required Chen Ming to achieve these two points.

Everything else was his additional work to be done.

The new residential area also quickly began to take shape.

Tons of metallic liquid gathered as materials for Chen Ming to touch, and then Chen Ming could directly use the materials to dismantle abandoned building materials and send them to the warehouse, ready to be applied where needed in practice.

One advantage of doing this is that all the residential areas are built with his Spiritual Energy and have unique mechanical structures.

This allows him to have a real sense of everything in the colony, ensuring that no problem in the colony can escape monitoring.

Of course, all of this is also handled by Dusk, as Chen Ming doesn’t have the time to deal with these matters.

Due to the small population of the colony compared to its land area, Chen Ming did not use the standard of apartment buildings, but rather the standard of single-story houses to construct the new residential area.

Although he wasn’t well-versed in architectural planning, he had learned a bit about it previously due to Hong Guanghong.

But designing a residential area that could maintain life was still feasible for him.

In addition to basic residential houses, other fundamental public facilities were definitely arranged as well.

It was simply a matter of calculating the number of independent buildings from the original residential area, such as shops, clinics, and water purification plants, and incorporating these special buildings.

Originally, these were all managed by the local government on behalf of the Lou Wei faction.

After all, as a small colony, it was impossible to achieve self-sufficiency in resources, always needing external support and subsidies. Without these, the colony would have collapsed long ago.

Now all these responsibilities fell on Chen Ming, and he delegated these tasks to Dusk, letting them control robots to manage these essential areas for civilian life, thinking that there shouldn’t be any significant issues later on.

After the residential area was roughly constructed, Chen Ming had the ordinary people waiting outside the colony, encased by metallic liquid, retrieve their belongings and go to where they were supposed to go.

Everyone went to the new homes assigned to them by Brilliant.

Getting familiar with the environment and understanding what had happened would take some time, and Chen Ming anticipated there would be many complaints.

However, it was not a big issue, as Brilliant had already helped to provide everyone with relevant notifications and a dedicated complaint channel.

Furthermore, when they saw their brand new homes with all the newly furnished furniture and a much better environment...

Chen Ming believed that not many people would come to complain through the complaint channel.

If someone did complain, Dusk could handle it. Reasonable requests could be granted, while unreasonable ones could be dismissed.

Chen Ming also connected this complaint channel to the government, who would help oversee it.

As for the former prisoners sent to this place, Chen Ming intended to send them back to the prisons they came from, as they were not welcome here.

That was the original plan.

But the government brought a few people when dealing with the Zuo Jing faction with Chen Ming just now.

These people were management personnel from prisons that had previously signed agreements with the Lou Wei faction about collaboration in managing prisoners.

During their connection with Chen Ming, they offered too much.

Chen Ming suspected the money they offered to renew the contract after changing the colony’s entire population might be the penalty paid by the Lou Wei faction.

Providing reform facilities for prisons was also considered one of the main revenue sources for the two colonies now, and since Lou Wei took the colony as a bet, when it landed in Chen Ming’s hands, some businesses would certainly fail, and they needed to compensate the collaborators for the losses.
