Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

”What?”

”My intuition tells me this matter is likely related to Dimensional Infection.”

”Intuition? Psychic sensitivity?”

”Yes.”

”...”

The President put down the work in his hands, and directed his gaze entirely at the terminal beside him.

Recently, while discussing certain matters with Wu An, they had mentioned Chen Ming more than once, and Chen Ming’s keen perceptive abilities were frequently brought up by Wu An in front of the President.

To the President, if Chen Ming had linked someone’s death by explosive body failure to other things, and then concluded it was Dimensional Infection.

Then the President had to consider whether Chen Ming was overthinking, just like he said earlier, as he too once associated many things with Dimensional Infection, fearing he hadn’t thoroughly expunged the infected parts from the normal universe.

But if Chen Ming said his intuition gave him the feeling this matter was related to Dimensional Infection.

Then the President had to seriously consider it.

Psychics, to some extent, have a sixth sense, and facing bad matters, they will have a subtle feeling.

Chen Ming is definitely a genius Psychic in the Empire, possibly for the century or even millennium, such a Psychic’s perceptive abilities...

The President considered for a moment, and finally decided.

He chose to trust Chen Ming.

The President paused all the work in his hands, preparing to prioritize resolving the potential Dimensional Infection event Chen Ming mentioned, and asked, ”What exactly did you feel earlier?”

Chen Ming slightly exhaled upon hearing this question, realizing that since the President asked this, he would at least have an impression of it.

Chen Ming basically could ensure the matter’s relation to Dimensional Infection, it’s very necessary to have the President, responsible for handling Dimensional Infection events, remember this matter.

”When I saw that person’s death, I felt an instinctive fear akin to when I first encountered Dimensional Infection.”

”However, the feeling when that person died wasn’t dangerous, it purely was a matter of seeing this scene bringing me that feeling, hence my sense that the person was affected by Dimensional Infection’s aftermath, or Zuo Jing using some method of Dimensional Infection caused a similar effect.”

”I’ve seen many dead people, and many bloody scenes, what scared me wasn’t the scene itself, but what it represented.”

Chen Ming reiterated his feeling once again, fearing the President might misunderstand if he wasn’t clear.

However, the President indeed did not misunderstand, and clearly understood Chen Ming’s meaning.

”You suspected it was Zuo Jing’s issue, right?”

”Yes.”

”Take a look at this.”

The President sent a document to Chen Ming.

Chen Ming had received similar documents before, which contained various information and recorded data obtained during the President’s investigation into Dimensional Infection.

Although Chen Ming is often traveling, he frequently talks with people he knows.

Be it the old factory manager, boss, or President, he occasionally chats with Shao Yang as well.

Therefore, when the President was previously talking to Chen Ming, he sent research content on Dimensional Infection to him.

As a gesture for Chen Ming, who experienced Dimensional Infection as he did.

And this time the content of the document...

Chen Ming quickly flipped through the document.

It was evident from the document despite a lack of thorough understanding of the overall situation of Dimensional Infection, what kind of existence the other dimension truly is, remains unclear.

However, some information that can be extrapolated in normal universe space was documented in great detail.

Of course, the content is plentiful, even someone like Chen Ming would need some time to read it all in detail.

But the President did not give him this time to read slowly, instead directly let Chen Ming flip to the middle of the document.

This document contained a three-dimensional image; the content was the Empire’s star map.

In the star map, marked by the President since the last Dimensional Infection outbreak, different star realms, star zones, star systems revealed deformities cases.

”Didn’t I see something similar before?”

”Yes, previously I showed you two star maps; one was from the past infection data, it wasn’t prepared and circumstances were somewhat urgent.”

”Also, the Empire hadn’t implemented the cloning ban yet, there were many cloned individuals interfering with deformity situations, hence the data wasn’t detailed.”

”The other was a preliminary data which was yet to be fully investigated, merely a rough overview.”

”Today, I am showing you data that has been thoroughly investigated and also is being updated in real-time.”

”This Dimensional Infection compared to the one decades ago had no substantial impact on the Empire, and with experience from last time, we prepared well in advance, the entire Empire supports me in these matters, so the data sample has increased significantly.”

”I had a database set up linked to the Empire Hospital’s common database, which automatically records cases of newborns and fetus deformities.”

”Direct data extraction might have some discrepancies, but not too significant, this forms the basis of this star map.”

Chen Ming understands, and continues to look at the star map.

From the star map, one can see that the density of deformity occurrences began from a certain point within the Empire, like a hollow sphere stacking layer upon layer spreading outward.
