Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 697: Chapter 210 The Psychic’s Backdoor_4

But the effect was not significant, as if the seemingly endless magma beneath the ground was nourishing these volcanoes.

The Purgatory Core currently seemed too weak in the face of the planet’s might.

However, Chen Ming still did not give up trying, his Spiritual Energy surrounding throughout the entire dome.

Soon, the third volcano that jutted up from the ground showed signs of cracking, just like the second volcano.

Surging magma sprayed out from the crater, shooting high into the sky, while the side of the mountain cracked open completely.

A terrifying magma waterfall poured in the direction of the dome where Chen Ming was located.

By slightly observing the position of the cracks on the volcano.

It could be seen that if there was no accident, the final collapse direction of these remaining three volcanoes would all be towards the direction where he was on the dome.

Chen Ming’s expression was serious, not daring to hesitate for even a moment, continuing to control Spiritual Energy to act within the dome, and the Purgatory Core in his hand was still transferring the entropy within the nearby magma.

But from above, large chunks of magma continued to strike the dome.

The dome, visible to the naked eye, was also somewhat unable to withstand the continuous damage that it was not supposed to endure.

A large number of cracks gradually appeared at the top position.

In just a few seconds, at the moment when the third vertical volcano erupted.

A big hole broke open at the top of the dome where Chen Ming was.

Magma and surging hot air currents rushed in through the breach instantly.

The vegetation inside the dome quickly withered and shriveled, catching fire.

And at the moment this scene occurred, the metallic liquid controlled by Chen Ming seeped from the ground, extinguished the flames instantly, and covered the entire dome, restoring it to its original state.

Although the plants here were not coming back.

At least the dome was preserved, temporarily.

The reason Chen Ming’s reaction was slightly delayed was due to the Purgatory Core in his hand at that moment.

Chen Ming needed to activate a function on the Purgatory Core that was suitable for Psychics.

Since the Purgatory Core left an interface for Psychics to use at will.

How could it be possible for a Psychic to achieve only effects similar to the Purgatory Demon King when using the Purgatory Core?

If ordinary people can achieve it, and Psychics can only do it to the same extent, then this design must be a failure.

And the Purgatory Core’s design was clearly not a failure.

Just yesterday, Chen Ming also found another feature on the Purgatory Core during his research.

Spiritual Energy sensing trigger device.

This was one of the backdoors specifically reserved for Psychics during the design of the Purgatory Core.

It allowed the intensity of the Psychic’s energy fluctuation to influence the Purgatory Core’s final output effect.

The stronger the Spiritual Power and Spiritual Energy Fluctuation Chen Ming exerted on the Purgatory Core, the greater the range and intensity of Entropy Control he could perform.

But the activation of this function had a limitation.

That was the Purgatory Core required a continuous large amount of energy supply.

And the small antimatter reactor Chen Ming brought was limited by its size, so its power output was not enough.

Thus, Chen Ming also needed to connect the dome’s electrical system into the Purgatory Core.

The process of transforming the dome’s internal wiring, which he had never actually dealt with, and the complex shutdown procedures of the dome’s life-support system, took him some time, causing his speed to be slightly slower.

After all, the life-support system was the most critical equipment for maintaining the survival of personnel inside the dome, and shutting it down recklessly would cause significant personnel casualties.

Except for the second underground level, which was not a concern due to its independent design, all spaces above the second underground level would become a human forbidden zone once the life-support system was shut down.

Anyone without a special protective suit would be doomed, and even those wearing one might not survive the surging lava outside.

Therefore, it could not be shut down actively without the presence of three administrators simultaneously.

This forced Chen Ming to use Spiritual Energy to find the relevant design, and then prioritize transforming the life-support system.

Completely shutting down this system, which occupied more than 80% consumption of the dome’s internal electrical system.

Was meant to focus all the electricity from the power equipment on other facilities onto the Purgatory Core.

Although he was slightly delayed due to his lack of experience, fortunately, the result was still fine.

Chen Ming stood up from the sofa.

Walked to the wall, reaching out to press on it.

A thick modified cable protruded from the wall automatically, connecting to an interface.

Then, Chen Ming connected the other end of the interface to the Purgatory Core.

At that moment, almost all of the electricity under the dome was concentrated in the Purgatory Core.

At the moment when the Purgatory Core was connected to sufficient power, the fourth volcano finally began to erupt.

And the magma inside the previously erupting second volcano had already drained.

The high heat from the bottom was about to completely melt the support of this volcano.

The volcano was about to collapse.

The direction of the collapse was just as Chen Ming thought, right above his head.
