Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 673: Chapter 204: Net Worth _4

Chen Ming didn’t know what to do either, so he decided to leave it as is. Maybe someday it would become useful unexpectedly.

Among the real estate Chen Ming controlled besides the space station, the temporary base was certainly the most important.

Although the temporary base only had a simple version of a star port with maintenance and transport functions and a giant warehouse.

Yet, the Dusk at the temporary base was the most crucial part of this base.

So far, the amount of Dusk Chen Ming owned remained over fifty thousand, despite the losses during two months of exploration, the losses seemed minor compared to the overall scale.

Among these more than fifty thousand Dusks, there were nearly forty-eight thousand Gamma Level Dusks, over three thousand Beta Level Dusks, and five Alpha Level Dusks.

This was Chen Ming’s true entire fortune some time ago.

However, things were different now.

Now, with Chen Ming’s efforts in his expansion path, he had gained two additional fortunes.

One from the Mechanical Race, and the other from the Insect Race.

Moreover, these two assets continued to expand with Chen Ming’s endeavors.

The Mechanical Race initially consisted of merely over forty thousand individuals from the isolated city, and with the thirty thousand individuals acquired from the Mechanical Race colonies by Chen Ming, the number had grown to nearly eighty thousand.

These tens of thousands of the Mechanical Race were settled in the city by Chen Ming, rejuvenating this city which had been abandoned for years.

And this city itself was meant to exist sufficiently for that civilization.

Thus, during the time Chen Ming was using Spiritual Energy to repair the entire city, he found out everything the Mechanical Race needed in the city could be self-sustained.

Even the nanorobots were the same.

Chen Ming found a factory in the city.

A factory that requires some input materials, and could automatically output nanorobots usable by the Mechanical Race.

Unfortunately, the city only had this one factory, which was smaller compared to the industrial equipment in other moderately sized cities.

Therefore, nanorobots still remained a primary limitation in the Mechanical Race’s development.

But upon reconsideration, Chen Ming realized he had actually gained a lot.

As this was a nanorobot manufacturing factory, another legacy from a different civilization.

Initially, Chen Ming thought there were just those Mechanical Individuals in the Mechanical Race city.

Until he later discovered this factory, realizing how naive he was.

Anything left by another civilization was extremely precious, at least it was immensely valuable to Chen Ming at present.

Even though he completely couldn’t comprehend the operational principles and manufacturing methods, Chen Ming could employ this factory, which was enough for him.

As long as the factory remained in his possession, Chen Ming would surely have the opportunity to master the technology thoroughly.

Moreover, when the new thirty thousand Mechanical Race individuals were gradually under Chen Ming’s control, he found the number of Mechanical Race within his Hive Mind Network reached the required threshold, allowing the generation of new Mechanical Race individuals’ consciousness directly within the network.

This meant the quantity of Chen Ming’s Mechanical Race could begin to increase, and he could start constructing new Mechanical Race individuals.

Alongside the nanorobots produced by the nanorobot factory.

Though the pace wasn’t swift, the growth in the number of Mechanical Race individuals would subtly provide more Spiritual Power and increase the Thought Speed for Chen Ming.

On the other hand, Chen Ming’s asset, the Insect Race, was evidently more substantial.

Even though the types of Insect Race were as previously, they hardly changed when not engaged in combat.

Moreover, only the Larva Hatching Pool was completed among the Insect Race’s biological constructions in these days, with the progress in others being quite unsatisfactory.

However, the expansion rate of the Insect Race population was unmatched by the combined growth of both Dusk and Mechanical Race.

From initially a city’s size, now the Insect Nest coverage was nearly half of the colony area seen by Chen Ming upon entering the Dusk Star Realm, occupying a fifth of the planet’s surface.

If not for the current planet having a larger area, plus Chen Ming deliberately constrained the Insect Queen’s surface reproduction and urged it to expand underground to prevent ecological damage.

Otherwise, Chen Ming even believed he could see the Insect Nest from outside the planet.

This resulted in Chen Ming having difficulty estimating the size of the Insect Race population.

But there was one thing he was sure of, that the strength of the Insect Race’s ground units was already sufficient for Chen Ming to accomplish many tasks.

The Insect Queen’s ability to devour, transform, and breed everything was too exaggerated.

It wouldn’t be long before the entire planet could be completely overtaken by the Insect Queen, and it would possess the capability to destroy the planet.

Of course, Chen Ming wasn’t afraid of this at all, as his Spiritual Energy would turn all of this into his advantage.
