Chapter 693: Chapter 209: The Ingenious Uses of Purgatory Core_4

Chen Ming couldn’t understand the key psychic energy-related designs inside the Purgatory Core.

But the design on the core, this special pure structure design, was still understandable and manageable for him.

However, Chen Ming’s current focus was not on this.

What he most wanted to figure out now was another effect of the Purgatory Core that he could utilize under his psychic energy control.

Chen Ming lowered his head and immersed himself wholeheartedly into the research of the Purgatory Core.

When Chen Ming next lifted his head.

The time had already reached late night, just like yesterday.

A slight smile and a hint of regret appeared on Chen Ming’s face.

Although the research hadn’t completely succeeded, he was very close.

Just one last step remaining.

It’s a pity this last step couldn’t be completed now, so he had to rest first.

Another day dawns.

Another day of teaching.

Another day Bai Quan casually pushed open the lab door, seeing Chen Ming standing in front of the equipment.

Bai Quan greeted Chen Ming as usual, while sending a personnel list to Chen Ming on the terminal.

Chen Ming slightly tilted his head, looked at the terminal, and asked, ”What is this?”

”This is the list of researchers who came to the Gallo Star Realm; there are two versions. One for those who came and left, and the other for those willing to stay as your assistants.”

Chen Ming didn’t open it to check, directly asking, ”How many people?”

”The total number of people who came is over twelve hundred, and about five hundred are willing to stay.”

Chen Ming’s hand suddenly paused and he said, ”That many?”

But Chen Ming had previously thought the number of assistants would be around fifty, more than which he couldn’t manage well.

After all, he hadn’t had experience managing many people, and fifty was already about his limit.

”Just because many are willing doesn’t mean you have to keep that many; just pick the ones you find useful.”

”True.”

Chen Ming was relieved, putting aside the Purgatory Core.

He opened the list to select personnel as his assistants.

When Chen Ming handed back the selected personnel list to Bai Quan, Bai Quan said to him, ”The people should arrive tomorrow. After your experiments with the Mechanical Race effects and verification are completed, those who should leave will leave, and those who should stay will stay.”

”Also, those five members of the think tank will come along with the others to you tomorrow as well.”

Chen Ming and Bai Quan didn’t talk long about trivial matters.

The day began normally with teaching.

Time professionally reached the evening.

Chen Ming had just seen off the instructors when he received something sent over by Bai Quan.

Today during the day, he also asked Bai Quan for some equipment, and although it took some convincing, he eventually got it.

Chen Ming brought the equipment to the lab.

Yesterday’s regret completely vanished, for he knew he was very close to achieving his goal.

Chen Ming tightened his grip on the intricate device in his hand, a micro antimatter reactor he had seen before.

This was the equipment Chen Ming had asked Bai Quan for during the day.

This reactor was about to fulfill its purpose.

Chen Ming’s research progress yesterday was much smoother than the day before.

Basically, his hypothesis had been confirmed correct.

Chen Ming now possessed the complete method to use psychic energy to directly activate the Purgatory Core.

Instead of the original method he mastered with psychic energy, which involved using the Purgatory Demon King’s system to activate the Purgatory Core and then using the core.

This essentially bypassed the Purgatory Demon King as an intermediary, allowing Chen Ming himself to use the Purgatory Core directly.

Through psychic energy, Chen Ming controlled the method of managing the core, controlling the entropy increase and entropy stability of the entire environment.

Now, he needed to perform the final step of the experiment: actual testing.

That’s why he needed an antimatter reactor to fully activate the Purgatory Core.

Chen Ming, holding the Purgatory Core and the antimatter reactor, connected them with the relay device he just made, essentially providing the Purgatory Core with a power source.

Just as Chen Ming was about to start testing, his terminal suddenly rang.

Bai Quan called late at night.
