Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 674: Chapter 205: Technical Test

Aside from what was just mentioned, Chen Ming also had some additional special entities in his hands.

For example, the Ship Spirit and Little Stone.

Though their current function seems to be merely as mascots.

But the Ship Spirit, being a Ship Spirit, needs to influence a spaceship over a long time to exert its proper influence.

Two months is too short, not to mention Shao Yang needs to borrow the Supreme Point for a month.

So, Chen Ming is aware and indifferent to the Ship Spirit slacking off.

And Little Ten, the hamster that has been with him since Rimu Star, seems to have some psionic potential itself and then evolved into a Spiritual Creature after eating too many Immortal Spirit Leaves at Dusk.

So no matter what, Chen Ming couldn’t possibly abandon it.

Apart from these two living beings, Chen Ming also has some special inanimate objects, like two Gathering Spiritual Energy Origins and the Stone of Chaotic Words, along with a Mind Pulse Generator.

It’s the existence of these things that allows Chen Ming, who is incredibly busy every day, to still not miss out on spiritual energy training.

Actually, Chen Ming has quite a lot of things, like material assets that haven’t been tallied.

But material assets are too cumbersome to count, knowing there’s no shortage is enough.

And all these things combined are Chen Ming’s entire fortune.

Everything Chen Ming has accumulated step by step to get to today.

And it’s also the motivation that keeps Chen Ming going forward.

The next day.

A bit ahead of the originally scheduled time, Bai Quan contacted him preemptively and asked Chen Ming, ”How’s it going?”

Chen Ming had already prepared yesterday, so he could answer immediately: ”No problem on my end.”

”Good, then let’s go meet some people first.”

”What kind of people?”

”The advisory group I mentioned yesterday that I found for you.”

Bai Quan lightly knocked on the terminal that Chen Ming had given him before, it was very useful during private conversations, but not so much when interacting with others.

”You’re in the Empire now, right? Why not just switch to our Fourteenth Legion’s network directly? No need to worry about disclosure issues.”

”Alright.”

Chen Ming’s communication code was not specifically hidden, and with Bai Quan’s assistance, he quickly connected to the Fourteenth Legion’s internal communication network.

After confirming that the signal was fine, Bai Quan left the office and headed to a meeting room in the office building he was in.

There were already five people waiting there.

Once Bai Quan entered the meeting room, he enabled conference room computer permissions for Chen Ming.

Chen Ming’s face appeared on the projection in the meeting room, and the appearance of the meeting room appeared in front of Chen Ming.

Bai Quan gestured slightly to the five people in the meeting room and said, ”These are the advisory group members I mentioned to you before.”

The five people originally seated in the meeting room immediately stood up and bowed slightly to Chen Ming, and the person in the middle spoke, ”Mr. Chen Ming, we can rely on your accounts of your own spiritual energy to help you analyze the future development prospects of spiritual energy and its effects.”

Chen Ming nodded, while quietly sending a question to Bai Quan via the terminal.

”How did you determine the candidates for the advisory group?”

Since an advisory group for psychics must have an understanding of spiritual energy, a broad mind, and imagination.

Otherwise, an advisory group that is not composed of psychics offers no value.

Bai Quan, with hands behind his back, replied to Chen Ming on the terminal: ”Among ordinary people, some have greater spiritual power than average. However, they don’t reach the level of awakening spiritual energy to become psychics.”

”These mentally advanced people are relatively easier to find among ordinary people, just like psychics.”

”And when they assist some psychics in spiritual energy testing, they find it easier to observe the effects of spiritual energy, so the Empire has always been specifically looking for such people.”

”Some of these people are official personnel of the Empire, and after being involved in related testing many times, those interested will proactively apply to participate in spiritual abilities related department work as per the requirements of their superiors.”

”So, those working in departments related to spiritual energy are essentially individuals with above-average mental power.”

”Then these people are further filtered by capability, ultimately selecting the advisory group.”

”Originally, the advisory group didn’t exist until later when the Empire systematized the management and research of psychics, gradually forming this advisory group.”

”If you don’t need them, I can make them leave now.”

”No need.”

Chen Ming decisively refused Bai Quan’s suggestion.

Since this advisory group is a branch gradually evolving from the Empire’s spiritual ability departments and has always existed.

Time has already proven the usefulness of the advisory group, so he has no reason to dismiss it outright.

Moreover, having someone to think through things is always beneficial.

Although their understanding of his spiritual energy from external appearance may not be as simple, relying solely on the describable effects of spiritual energy may not yield ideal answers.

In addition, Chen Ming is entirely able to see the potential future development of his spiritual energy from the Ship Spirit.

Though the analysis from outsiders might be somewhat unreliable, it remains a referenceable choice.

Furthermore, Chen Ming is indeed curious whether this advisory group, selected after layers of filtering in the Empire, can come up with a genuinely applicable spiritual energy development direction based solely on his oral descriptions of simple spiritual energy conditions.

After a brief introduction between Chen Ming and the five people.
