Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 397: Chapter 143 Secret Operation_3

Eighty percent of these cargo ships are loaded with various high-value industrial equipment.

Fifteen percent are loaded with supplies that can maintain these industrial equipments for a period of time.

The remaining five percent are responsible for guarding the fleet.

It can be said that this fleet alone can construct the rudimentary structure of Chen Ming’s colony.

The Brilliant completed the construction of the first cargo fleet with high efficiency within a few hours.

And the second fleet can be assembled at any time.

During this process, any ships entering the star system, not under Chen Ming’s control, and the Dusk individuals they carried were all controlled by Brilliant using a compulsory method called Refraction.

No information spread out, at least not for a short period of time.

It even did some other things during this time, and these will soon be apparent.

After completing all this, the Brilliant reported to Chen Ming: ”Cargo fleet is ready, the teleportation engine location system has locked onto the target star system, K-WYH-2.”

This is a star system that humans have not yet set foot on, but has been confirmed and named through observational methods.

At the same time, it was also where Chen Ming previously tested the Refraction with the unstable hyperspace navigation teleportation engine, sending it to the buffer zone between Dusk and the Mechanical Race.

It was in this timeframe, while exploring the outer star realm, he found one of six valuable planets in this star system.

Chen Ming previously had the good fortune of finding a total of three habitable planets.

On one, there is a toxic atmosphere on the surface, another shows traces of the Mechanical Race, and another is just a normal habitable planet with everything in order.

Additionally, there are three star systems with planets having different open-pit mineral distributions.

Therefore, the target ultimately chosen by Chen Ming.

Is the star system with the habitable planet that has a toxic atmosphere.

As for choosing it, it’s simply because it is physically the furthest from the Dusk Star System, and Chen Ming just needs this star system as a temporary foothold.

He cannot establish a colony so close, so a temporary stop does not need to be a very good choice.

After the Brilliant’s report sounded, Chen Ming did not hesitate much, having come this far there was nothing to make him hesitate.

”Let’s do it, set off.”

”Received.”

Brilliant activated the teleportation engine.

Some visible blurs and afterimages appeared in the fleet images that Chen Ming saw through the sensors on the ships left in the star system.

Tens of seconds of preparation time ended.

The Brilliant led hundreds of destroyer-level cargo ships in the fleet, along with a dozen scattered frigates to fill the last bit of leftover teleportation engine carrying capacity, disappearing within the star system.

The teleportation process still takes a little bit of time.

Chen Ming took the opportunity to turn his gaze to another star system.

The star system which had Energy Crystal Crabs that Gamma Z visited on its first return.

Here, a cargo fleet is also being assembled, and as the flagship, it’s a Giant-level heavy freighter controlled by the Radiant.

The Giant-level heavy freighters are essential ships for large-scale material transport between star systems.

This is a type of ship that has been off the production line for a long time.

And the reason it still exists without being outdated is simple, it’s useful.

Both Dusk and humans have continued to use them to this day, only the specific models have continually changed.

Originally, these important cargo ships all had fixed numbers and were shared across several different star systems.

But just lucky enough, there is a Giant currently being manufactured in the star system controlled by the Brilliant, with a specific delivery date in the more distant future.

So Chen Ming instructed the Brilliant to allocate some resources onto it, accelerating its construction.

Until today, it is just ready to be put to use.

And along with the tasks Brilliant arranged for its own star system, it also prearranged everything for Radiant.

Radiant now just needs to pilot the ship to the designated location, and the rest of the fleet, already assigned tasks, will take care of themselves.

Radiant only needs to teleport to the star system Chen Ming found according to the preset coordinates once the fleet assembles.

Although Radiant has some complaints about Chen Ming directing Gamma A to deceive it.

Since it has already been influenced by Chen Ming, it holds some minor grievances.

Moreover, Chen Ming feels that Radiant and Gamma A seem to have developed some sort of relationship beyond mere friendship.

Although he does not know what kind of complex relationship this is.

But considering his understanding of Dusk, a species capable of emotions, he could accept any situation that might arise.

Thus, after arranging for the preemptive withdrawal of Gamma A, Radiant is indeed helping Chen Ming with tasks diligently now.

The Giant-level quickly settled into place, and the teleportation engine also began resonating, taking the fleet in the star system away together.

At this time, the Brilliant had just completed teleportation, arriving at the edge of the star system Chen Ming found previously.

It randomly selected a planet with no atmosphere and flat terrain, directly leading the fleet to land on it.

It instructed all units to go silent and asleep, awaiting follow-up commands.

As for itself, it unloaded all the goods in its few Brilliant-level storage spaces.

After emptying the cargo hold, it distanced itself from the planet again and sent a prearranged signal to Chen Ming.

When Chen Ming received the signal, he decisively used [Repair] on the Brilliant Level.

With rapid consumption of spiritual power, the teleportation engine on the Brilliant Level cooled down at an extremely fast pace.
