Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 357: Chapter 133 Cloning Research Institute_3

Inside these cultivation chambers are individuals who look almost identical to Chen Ming.

At this moment, these clone bodies appear to be only a few years apart from Chen Ming’s actual age.

It looks like the cultivation will soon be completed.

The entity controlling all of this, G3, has just connected to communication with the Brilliant who witnessed this scene.

G3 was not surprised that Brilliant would connect to this signal but instead simply introduced, ”These are the first batch of Chen Ming’s clones produced here.”

Ordered by superiors to connect to this signal, Brilliant quickly recorded these images and asked, ”Only these?”

”Fifty is just about right, fewer would make costs too high, more would have nowhere to be used, fifty is just perfect.”

G3 casually explained and continued, ”All data on these clone bodies, as predicted, falls within the range of normal humans.”

Brilliant asked again, ”I see, and then? Why did you want me here?”

”Because I need your help with some tasks.”

”After cultivation ends, every clone’s physical data shows slight differences, which I can verify by scanning Chen Ming to determine which individual’s condition is closest to that of Chen Ming.”

”But after personality and memory are implanted, each clone’s situation will also differ in character and consciousness, which I can’t identify compared to Chen Ming.”

”Brilliant, you have had the most opportunities and interactions with Chen Ming; you know Chen Ming’s character and personality, you are familiar with his situation.”

”I need you to help me select the clones that most closely resemble Chen Ming in personality, while I will choose those closest in physical quality.”

”Then we’ll comprehensively consider to decide on the final target for Chen Ming’s Enlightenment Nerve implantation.”

”Are you confident that the second extraction will be successful?”

Brilliant’s skepticism immediately received a response from G3.

”No, but I only do what I’m supposed to, cultivating clone humans and the final Enlightenment Nerve implantation.”

”My tasks assume successful Enlightenment Nerve extraction, so I won’t consider the possibility of failure.”

G3 continued speaking with enthusiasm, ”Although I am not the one cultivating ineffective artificial Enlightenment Nerves, I have been paying attention.”

”The new Enlightenment Nerve has been extremely cultivated for its aggressiveness, and even if unsuccessful, it will at least destroy Chen Ming’s Enlightenment Nerve, so he will never pose a threat to us.”

”You needn’t worry about anything.”

Brilliant did not show anything unusual, simply asking, ”Then afterward, if implantation is successful, what happens to those clones who were not chosen?”

G3 this time did not directly answer but asked, ”Have you previously reported that Chen Ming has high intelligence?”

”Yes, Chen Ming’s learning efficiency can match Beta-level individuals, but I think that there is a Spiritual Energy influence; other recorded Psychics have never shown such capabilities.”

G3, very knowledgeable in this area, said, ”Spiritual Energy indeed has influence, but it’s not the determining factor.”

”According to human research, a portion of human intelligence is genetically determined.”

”So it’s likely that other Chen Ming clones will also have this feature; once the implantations are finished, they’ll be sent to their designated locations for research work.”

”Sent? Where is this Cloning Research Institute located?”

”Right beneath Chen Ming’s research facility, so these clone bodies need to be sent elsewhere.”

”Are you personally controlling it?”

”Yes.”

G3 assumed Brilliant was worried about its situation and explained, ”You don’t need to worry about me; the underground Cloning Research Institute is completely isolated from the surface.”

”To go from underground directly to the surface, one needs to detour through other areas; Chen Ming has no chance to contact me.”

”Moreover, there is an emergency transfer channel underground; if any unexpected situation arises, I will be taken to the isolation zone for solitary confinement immediately, so no issues will occur.”

Brilliant naturally wouldn’t explain his thoughts to G3, simply following its intent by saying, ”Understood, so what do I need to do now?”

”Wait for cultivation to enter the final stage; it will soon be ready.”

”The physical aspect of cultivation will be completed within twenty-four hours, then comes the correction of character and consciousness.”

Dusk doesn’t need to rest, and in a certain sense, as long as the core’s aging parts are replaced, they can exist eternally.

So twenty-four hours indeed doesn’t feel long for them.

Brilliant didn’t mind waiting a little longer.

Besides being able to help Chen Ming gather some intelligence, it could also satisfy its own curiosity.

Brilliant’s behavior of roaming around the institute’s signals was seen by G3.

So much so that it suddenly asked Brilliant, ”Are you interested in these biotechnologies too?”

”A bit. Usually, my interactions are mostly with industrial equipment, it’s indeed rare to see this kind of technology, so I am indeed quite interested.”

G3, unlike when dealing with humans like Chen Ming, was not stern and serious, instead, it was somewhat enthusiastic in its conversation with Brilliant, saying, ”I have some entry-level materials here, feel free to take a look.”

”Alright.”

Brilliant briefly looked over the biotechnology-related documents G3 placed in the open storage area, and after copying all the data to its own area, it asked, ”The failure rate of cloning seems quite high, where are those failed products?”

G3 immediately replied, ”The failure rate is indeed high, but compared to the results, it’s acceptable.”
