Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 363: Chapter 135: Experiment

Although Chen Ming had this idea,

the difficulty... it could only be said to be no different from robbery.

The Dusk individuals responsible for manufacturing work are isolated from the outside world, making it virtually impossible for Chen Ming to control them.

Moreover, both the transportation of materials and the management departments have strict isolation measures inside and out.

It made Chen Ming wonder if such strict measures were targeting him specifically.

In short, he had infiltrated some part of it, but not completely.

Overall, it was like this, neither here nor there.

In essence, he found absolutely no opportunity to actually come into contact with the New Star level.

Moreover, it’s not just the difficulty of contact; Chen Ming had other troublesome points to deal with.

Even if he later found an opportunity, and sacrificed a part of the Dusk individuals he controlled to successfully reach the main ship module and plugged in.

But from Chen Ming’s inner feeling, controlling the main ship was still far from enough.

Forcing control would only result in damage to the Dusk individuals helping Chen Ming to control the main ship, and his own Spiritual Power would also be impacted.

As Chen Ming understood, although the Dusk mainship, like the cruiser, was controlled by an Alpha-level Dusk,

the real-time computational power required by the mainship during battle was enormous, and individuals who just reached Alpha level were absolutely insufficient.

Only those who had already been at Alpha level for a long time and had experienced a significant increase in Computational Power could control the main ship.

Even Brilliant currently seemed unqualified to control the main ship.

Only the Alpha-level Dusk that Chen Ming controlled later at the border star realm of Dusk and the Mechanical Race might have a certain possibility, but just possibly.

The main ship and cruiser were simply not in the same league.

To lose an Alpha-level Dusk in exchange for a likely failed attempt to control the Dusk mainship was purely a grandmother’s loss.

Thus, even though Chen Ming had such an idea, the high cost quickly dissuaded him.

Moreover, even if he wanted to indirectly control this New Star class ship by controlling the entire shipyard, the entire giant dock, it wouldn’t work.

Not to mention, different areas within the giant dock were also isolated from one another.

The sheer size of the giant dock was already larger than the main ship.

So now, Chen Ming could only temporarily abandon this tempting idea.

Instead, he tried to control the modules of the giant dock piece by piece.

Whether he would eventually find a way to completely control the giant dock, or help Bai Quan take action, would depend on the specific situation at that time.

Just as this thought crossed Chen Ming’s mind and he immediately dismissed it,

Brilliant suddenly proactively contacted him through the emergency contact method that they had previously discussed.

Chen Ming immediately focused his attention on Brilliant and asked, ”What’s up?”

”I just received an order to remotely access a cloning lab that’s conducting experiments on your clone body.”

”The cloning experiment in the lab has reached its final stage, and your clone body has been cultivated to the last phase. I need to help select the final suitable individuals for implanting your Enlightenment Nerve.”

”Oh.”

Chen Ming replied plainly.

One could only say that Chen Ming could have guessed this kind of thing would be done by Dusk even without knowing it.

However, Brilliant added, ”Also, the lab successfully cloned a special thing with Spiritual Energy.”

This time, Chen Ming was intrigued and asked, ”A thing? Not a Spiritual Energy clone?”

”No. A part of the clone body’s tissue mutated, possessing Spiritual Energy, and resembled some sort of Spiritual Creature.”

With some comprehension difficult to grasp what Brilliant was saying, Chen Ming quickly viewed the previous footage stored by Brilliant from the cloning lab.

He had no particular feelings towards the corpses stored in the cold storage cabinets with his face.

Although the dissection scene of the corpse almost made him lose his composure, as long as Chen Ming thought through the fact that it was just a face like his, he could get over it.

However, when Chen Ming saw the deformed mass of flesh extracted from the clone’s chest and still faintly pulsating,

he truly couldn’t hold it together.

The impact of the image, coupled with a sudden inexplicable emotion growing within him, influenced him.

It felt as if this mass of flesh was a part of him.

Strictly speaking, it was indeed the case, being a product cloned from his genes.

However, this deformed, slightly active mass of flesh didn’t appear to belong to the same species as him, a normal human, let alone suggest any kinship.

Suppressing his inner emotions, Chen Ming asked Brilliant, ”So where is this research facility?”

”Just underground.”

The moment Brilliant said that, Chen Ming instinctively wanted to look down at the floor. However, he quickly controlled himself from making the motion.

Brilliant clearly referred to the underground of the research facility where he was located.

Chen Ming knew there was something underground at the research facility, but didn’t expect that besides storing his Spiritual Stone, there would be a cloning lab down there as well.

This was important news for him.

Because of the mass of flesh with Spiritual Energy Fluctuation, aside from the natural disgust towards such matters, he also had an urge to actively contact it.

Chen Ming had acted on his feelings several times before, which saved and helped him multiple times, so this time he decided to trust this feeling too.
