Chapter 377: Chapter 138 Dimensional Infection_3

”Because after dealing with the dimensional infection, the Empire indeed had similar thoughts like yours.”

”But all the subsequent cloning experiments, all of them, were affected, with every clone showing signs of deformation.”

”Although after addressing the dimensional infection, the subsequent deformations were only physical abnormalities in the clones, without any impact on their spiritual energy, the harm caused was relatively minor.”

”But no matter how small the harm is, it depends on the overall scale. Even a small issue isn’t small when it appears across the entire Empire.”

”Can you guess why?”

Chen Ming’s answer to these things he knew nothing about was a simple: ”I don’t know.”

The boss obviously didn’t expect Chen Ming to guess correctly, and said as soon as Chen Ming finished speaking: ”We believe that those things that caused the dimensional infection have roughly located the Empire’s position in the universe through the dimensional infection.”

”That’s why they can continue to exert influence over the entire Empire, and all unconscious clones suffer greatly. Thankfully, clones with spiritual energy are a small probability event, and overall it’s manageable.”

”However, besides the impact on clones, their influence also widely affected the newborns in the Empire.”

”Many newborns, even embryos, showed signs of deformation.”

”They are too fragile. Even with a complete consciousness, facing such terrifying things for prolonged periods inevitably leads to their influence.”

Chen Ming instantly understood the severity of the matter and suddenly realized what consequences Dusk’s actions could have on them.

Just as Chen Ming was about to ask how this repercussion was resolved, the boss preempted his question: ”For fifteen years after this incident erupted, as time passed, there was a spatial shift between our two spaces.”

”Those in the other space lost the Empire’s position, and the situation gradually eased.”

”It was this complete severance of future terror for humanity that led to the existence of the ban.”

”With Dusk stirring things up now, we fear the newborn population will drastically reduce again.”

”I’ll report this matter through connections later on, but I don’t know what will happen next.”

”However, it is certain that we’ll take significant actions against Dusk, otherwise if Dusk exploits this, our extinction will be within a few generations.”

”Your abilities have a more solid foundation thanks to Dusk, so you’d better act promptly.”

Chen Ming tried to quickly digest this information that most people wouldn’t encounter in their lifetime, and couldn’t help but ask: ”Are the recorded documents this detailed?”

The boss casually replied: ”Because besides talking to you, I’m also discussing this with others who are aware, and knowing more people always has its advantages.”

”Um... wait a minute.”

The boss suddenly remembered something, a bit nervously asked Chen Ming: ”Are you sure Dusk cloned you?”

”Yes.”

”That’s a bit troublesome.”

”According to subsequent investigation records, although the consequences of the dimensional infection spread throughout the Empire.”

”The genetic donor of the clone that first appeared, namely that Psychic, encountered some troublesome issues later.”

”Those things might target you as the genetic donor.”

”There’s no way around it, once you’re at Dusk’s side, you can’t protect your genes. You can’t stop Dusk from using your genes recklessly.”

”But since you know now, it’d be best not to go directly to the outer Star Realm when you leave Dusk’s place. Better come back once, I’ll introduce you to someone.”

”Who?”

”The person who threw their eyeball into another space, our Psychic Association president.”

”Okay.”

Chen Ming was very curious about the leader of such a clearly influential organization.

However, he still felt the need to say: ”But I currently feel fine, no issues.”

”Hmm, that’s what the Psychic back then thought too.”

”Uh... what happened later? Did he die?”

”No, he didn’t. He’s still talking to me now, and you’ll see him if you come back.”

Chen Ming was surprised and somewhat uncertain, he asked: ”The president?”

”Yes.”

A multitude of thoughts flashed through Chen Ming’s mind.

But before he could speak, an unexpected situation interrupted him.

During his chat with the boss, he had unknowingly arrived at the entrance of the Cloning Laboratory.

And here, something was waiting for him.

A ”person” resembling a human model.

It had no skin, and upon closer inspection, all its muscle tissues were forcibly shaped using cardiac muscle tissues.

Even the eyes were nothing more than spherical lumps of flesh stuffed in.

Chen Ming again felt chest tightness and an obvious sensation of twisted ”closeness.”

But what really made Chen Ming sense danger was inside the research facility behind it.

Chen Ming casually took a photo and sent it to the boss, stating: ”Boss, I’ve encountered something here. I’ll talk to you later.”

He needed to focus his full attention on resolving the issue in front of him first.

Chen Ming stopped in his tracks.

He could feel the Ship Spirit’s excitement, enthusiasm, and greed in his mind, as well as the nearby Little Stone’s tension.

However, Little Stone once showed potential for spiritual energy, and its exposure to Chen Ming’s Delusion Stone and Whispering Stone was nearly the same, with substantial supplements of Immortal Spirit Tree leaves.
