Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 374: Chapter 137 Changes_4

Chen Ming jumped off the spaceship.

At this moment, the higher-ups of Dusk, observing the scene via satellite monitoring from the orbital ring, collectively fell into silence.

”What is Chen Ming trying to do?”

”He wants to enter the institute.”

”Didn’t Brilliant manage to stop him?”

”It didn’t have time to contact Chen Ming. Interference signals appeared again around Chen Ming, confirmed as a ’Spiritual Energy Abnormal Myocardial Tissue’ that moved from the Cloning Research Institute to the institute’s exit.”

”What’s Chen Ming aiming for?”

”Uncertain. There are several possibilities: the Spiritual Stone, the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor, or that Spiritual Creature.”

”We currently lack the ability to stop Chen Ming. Let’s not interfere for now; his actions don’t seem self-destructive.”

”Moreover, since the Spiritual Creature has already changed location, the communication signals of the institute should have recovered.”

”Indeed, I’m attempting to connect... connection successful.”

”The overall framework of the Cloning Research Institute remains intact, but the main circuit system and security equipment have been damaged.”

”Only a small amount of residual power in the backup circuits is usable, likely to be completely depleted within about thirty minutes.”

”What about G3?”

”Still out of contact, and there’s no sign of its core in the institute. The backup evacuation routes haven’t been activated either, and none of the equipment in the isolation area has been engaged.”

”The room where it was installed, like other rooms in the institute, is entirely covered by aberrant myocardial tissue.”

”Also, the Spiritual Stone previously obtained from Chen Ming is not here.”

”I suspect it’s all done by that Spiritual Creature.”

”Would the Spiritual Creature be interested in us?”

Before this question could be answered, an Alpha-level individual from Dusk, connected to the institute, interrupted all other entities.

”The institute’s signal is experiencing interference again, the Spiritual Creature is returning through the passage.”

”Chen Ming has pushed it back, clearing all the fleshy tissue in the passage.”

”Let’s delay deploying our mechanical team and see what he intends to do.”

While the Dusk higher-ups were communicating, Chen Ming, wearing Power Armor and carrying a Flamethrower, walked into the passage.

Using the heavy Flamethrower to clear the way, everything went smoothly.

And with every step Chen Ming took, a large amount of ordinary metallic liquid flowed from beneath his feet, covering and solidifying the passage behind him, forming a steel corridor.

To prevent the passage from collapsing later or being blocked again by something else.

This was Chen Ming’s precautionary fallback.

The Spiritual Flesh Tissue seemed to sense Chen Ming’s hostility, actively retreating.

It was visibly retreating to the side of the passage closer to the Cloning Research Institute.

Meanwhile, the boss seemed to have finally woken up and somewhat surprisingly asked Chen Ming through the terminal, ”Xiao Ming, what’s going on with the photos you sent?”

”It’s Dusk conducting clone experiments. I don’t know exactly what happened in the end, but they ended up with this entity. Its surroundings have strong Spiritual Energy Fluctuations interfering with normal communication devices.”

”I remember something like that; similar entities appeared during the clone ban period.”

”But I was in hibernation during that time, so I don’t know much. You’ll have to wait for me to check.”

”In any case, don’t engage with that thing yet. There could be danger. Dusk probably won’t let you get close either.”

Chen Ming looked at the half-covered passage ahead, not speaking.

The boss immediately realized the problem and asked, ”You haven’t already engaged, have you? Also, whose genes is Dusk using for cloning?”

”My genes... if I can clear this thing, should it not be a big problem?”

The boss seemed slightly anxious, frowning, ”Let me think... Originally, I shouldn’t interfere with your matters, but cloning is a big issue. What to do...”

Chen Ming also pondered for a moment and said, ”Actually, at first, I didn’t have the intention to engage either.”

The boss knew Chen Ming had more to say, so he didn’t interrupt.

”But, there’s something in my mind... it should be called a Ship Spirit, and it really wants to engage with this entity.”

”A Ship Spirit?!”
