Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 395: Chapter 143 Hidden Actions

Half a day later.

Bai Quan’s Fourteenth Legion was ready.

The fleet was ready at any time to engage in what would definitely be an extremely dangerous transition, plunging directly into the heart of Dusk.

Moreover, they had already left the giant dock that could maintain and repair the main ships and left the station.

In other words, ever since the last mission ended, the mission-failed Fourteenth Legion Fleet completed repairs at the station and left the dock.

The fleet has been hidden elsewhere and only returned to the dock at fixed times for supplies and maintenance.

As for why Bai Quan made a point of doing so.

It’s because since humans launched a surprise attack on Dusk the last time, various Dusks suddenly began to appear frequently on the fringes of the Gallo Star Realm.

Dusk fleets attacking fleets traveling between star systems, invading human star systems to attack colonies, plundering resources, all became commonplace.

Even around the star system where the military station, where the Fourteenth Legion is currently located closer to the edge of the Star Realm, different scales of Dusk fleets often come to harass.

Although each time the small-scale Dusk fleets come over it’s no different from sending themselves to death, they confirmed that their frequent actions had some impact on the Fourteenth Legion.

The stationed troops need to be dispatched regularly to clear them out, otherwise, the materials transported by the government could easily be intercepted.

Fortunately, Bai Quan has already taken over this Original Star Zone Military station for some time, rather than just taking over.

And logistics are managed by dedicated personnel, and their capabilities are decent.

Otherwise, he would be very much in trouble.

However, the problem is not just here.

While Dusk is sending themselves to death, they’re also certainly continuously reporting the internal situation of the star systems back.

Such behavior led Bai Quan to judge that in some future time Dusk would counterattack, otherwise, they have no reason to come and die.

Since Dusk is trying to gather intelligence about the star systems, then the situation of the fleet stationed within the star system would definitely be investigated thoroughly.

With some thought, one could analyze that he’s dispatching the fleet and preparing for subsequent actions, and make countermeasures.

Thus Bai Quan, after obtaining Chen Ming’s consent to assist him earlier, deliberately had the fleet leave the giant dock early to conceal its existence.

Found a hidden corner to squat for a while.

And today received a notification from Chen Ming.

Bai Quan began leading the fleet, rounded the Dusk Star Realm, and approached Dusk’s Star Realm from the side of the buffer zone at the junction of Dusk and the Mechanical Race.

This is a good standby position Chen Ming told Bai Quan.

Because the frontline planet on the edge including the entire star system has already been controlled by Chen Ming, with the leading Alpha Level Dusk also under Chen Ming’s command.

Thus the Fourteenth Legion fleet stationed there almost doesn’t need to worry about being discovered.

These Dusks can completely ignore Bai Quan’s presence.

Even if individuals from within the Star Realm often appear because it is the border of the Dusk Star Realm, wanting to gain experience through small-scale conflicts.

As long as they come, they will be controlled during the resupply.

Even if Chen Ming failed to control the new incoming Dusk individuals, letting them pass the message.

The message passed out can only return to the star system with communication anchors among star systems, controlled by Chen Ming.

Any outside Dusk individuals daring to come here are no different from sheep entering a tiger’s den, they wouldn’t even be able to send out a sound.

Bai Quan’s fleet could remain steadily here, waiting for the right moment.

If not for safety and preventing any unexpected accidents.

Chen Ming even thought of letting Bai Quan prepare directly inside the star system or closer to the interior of the Star Realm, thus reducing the consumption of transition.

However, Bai Quan actively refused this proposal.

He expressed that in terms of transition distance, as long as it’s not most of the Star Realm, the impact isn’t too significant, exchanging the possibility of being discovered for better combat conditions afterward isn’t worthwhile.

So ultimately chose a spot outside the Star Realm that’s closer to the star system controlled by Chen Ming, but with fewer valuable star systems nearby.

While Bai Quan led the fleet to arrive here, he utilized the terminal given by Chen Ming for the first time, actively contacted Chen Ming: ”I’ve positioned here and ready to act anytime.”

About a minute later, Chen Ming replied: ”Now is okay too?”

”It’s okay, should we start?”

”No need, I was just asking.”

Though Bai Quan could act in advance, there’s no need, good steel must be used at the blade’s edge.

”You just wait over there, wait for my notification, wait for me to find the right time.”

Chen Ming should be able to get the Dusk’s news faster than Bai Quan, and also let them start action at the more suitable time.

And while Bai Quan sent over his message, Chen Ming also finished discussing the specific action plan with Brilliant and Gamma Z.

Therefore, Chen Ming did not waste time and directly started his plan.

Currently, Chen Ming has completely controlled only three star systems.

One star system where Chen Ming first stayed.

One where Gamma Z returned for the first time, a star system with the Energy Crystal Crab Planet.

And the frontline star system at the border between Dusk and the Mechanical Race.

The degree of control over other star systems varies, though two star systems have control levels close to 80%, and three star systems have control levels exceeding half.
