Chapter 288: Chapter 116: Warning from the 14th Legion, Dusk’s Spiritual Ability Device_3

”Then this obvious target, isn’t it just you?”

”You should believe it’s true for now.”

Chen Ming somewhat agreed with his boss’s statement.

Just like today’s Dusk.

Even though there was just a day and a half break, suddenly there was a rush to have Chen Ming leave immediately for a new place.

It’s probably related to the spiritual energy equipment that was transported in.

Since Chen Ming already knows that the entire situation has started to change in unknown ways, and possibly poses a direct threat to his own spiritual energy aspect.

Chen Ming must carefully consider the exchange with the Fourteenth Legion.

The intelligence needed by the Fourteenth Legion can be given, but Chen Ming still doesn’t want others to know he can spread his control over Dusk like a virus.

Because for others, this might not be a good situation.

Who would want Dusk to be united under one person?

So intelligence can be given, but only partially.

Chen Ming returned to the director’s office, asking the waiting officer, ”What do you need?”

The officer from the Fourteenth Legion breathed a sigh of relief.

With Chen Ming’s words, his task was considered complete.

”Mr. Chen, I am here only to negotiate with you, for specifics please communicate directly with our person in charge here.”

”Alright.”

Chen Ming agreed to the officer’s request and quickly, with his assistance, re-established communication with another person.

On the video communication screen, the other person appeared to be in his thirties or forties, wearing square-framed glasses.

After learning about the Fourteenth Legion earlier, Chen Ming specifically looked into it.

If he wasn’t mistaken, the person in front of him was a Major General.

Upon connection, the Major General proactively said to Chen Ming, ”Hello, I am Bai Quan, the person in charge of the Fourteenth Legion here.”

”I’m Chen Ming, let’s cut to the chase. I’ve currently been taken by Dusk to a new star system I marked on the star chart, so I might not have time later.”

”Didn’t you say you had two more days?”

”It was two days earlier but just now, about twenty minutes ago, Dusk suddenly sent an urgent notice for me to leave immediately.”

The Major General instantly realized the gravity of the situation and said, ”Understood, then I’ll be direct. We need your exact current location, the defense arrangements here, and the position of Dusk’s core star system.”

”This might be a bit difficult, but we can provide you help. We only need some leads.”

Chen Ming thought for a moment and said, ”You are referring to the location of Dusk’s Kleitka Supercomputer, right?”

”You know?”

”Yes, I used to enjoy reading history books.”

”Let me put it this way, my current location is most likely near Kleitka.”

Through Dawn, Chen Ming sent a star system map file, with more markings, to the director here, and through the office officer, the file was forwarded to Bai Quan.

It marked many star systems with the Dusk Colony.

Of course, Chen Ming only marked whether there was a colony; the various markings from the star chart given by Gamma A weren’t drawn.

It was still the detailed intelligence from Gamma A on some parts of the Dusk Colony that were open.

Just these clearly outlined a sphere on the star chart.

”Do you see it? This small batch of regions is empty in the middle, but is surrounded by a large number of Dusk Colonies.”

”I’m now on this periphery, so the core surrounded by these colonized star systems must be within here.”

”This...”

Bai Quan thought they would need to assist and provide strategies to help Chen Ming acquire intelligence from Dusk, possibly even needing to hand over blueprints for some military spy equipment for Chen Ming to use, spending half a month to perhaps get some leads.

After all, in their estimation, Dusk should completely deny Chen Ming any chance to interact with Dusk.

While controlling Dusk with suspicions of contact with Chen Ming to ensure no subsequent communication between Chen Ming and other Dusk individuals.

Though Dusk indeed did as they thought, they didn’t completely limit Chen Ming’s chance to reach out to Dusk through other means.

So, this led to the current outcome.

The course of events did not align with Bai Quan’s expectations.

However, Bai Quan also quickly devised a reason for Chen Ming’s obtaining of this intelligence.

It was because the Dusk individuals previously controlled by Chen Ming handed this star chart over to him beforehand.

Thus, he still hadn’t realized the extent of Chen Ming’s extraordinary capabilities.

After reviewing the star chart, Bai Quan habitually asked Chen Ming, ”Can these locations be confirmed?”

Chen Ming didn’t answer directly, but said, ”You don’t have to believe it.”

Bai Quan adjusted his glasses, hiding his eyes behind the reflective lenses, and said, ”Then I believe, is there any other intelligence?”

”No more, I’m still in space now, and don’t even know which planet I’m heading to.”

”At most, I can tell you the fleet escorting me has two cruisers, forty destroyers, and a hundred and ten guards. Cruiser types include one Brilliant and one Refraction, that’s it.”

”Incidentally, I’ve seen colonies on two airless planets in my current star system.”

”Also noticed traces of non-natural constructions on a volcanic planet, and this is just one star system.”
