Chapter 255: Chapter 108: Chen Ming’s Thoughts_2

They are spaceship dealers, and if Chen Ming joins them, their business will inevitably be affected.

It’s just unclear what their higher-ups think.

In summary, these various factions are intertwined, each with differing goals and methods.

Old Wu only knows the general situation of each faction and tells Chen Ming to be prepared.

But what these factions specifically intend to do and how, remains unknown.

Therefore, Chen Ming has decided to continue doing things his own way.

He’s unsure about what the other factions want, but his own situation is clear to him, isn’t it?

He cannot let go of the risk-ridden opportunity to obtain Dusk AI, the most crucial existence, like before. Missing it would be a lifelong regret.

Of course, Chen Ming also knows that the way Dusk treats him will definitely be different from before.

But this is the price he must pay for what he has chosen to do, just like Dusk had to bear the consequence of Chen Ming causing trouble after choosing to take him away.

Chen Ming chooses to endure.

Ultimately, Chen Ming must consider matters related to Dusk here, so his lifeline does not fall into others’ hands.

As for his thoughts on Dusk during the implementation process, he is also very clear.

His ability means that as long as Dusk does not fully trust him and open up, they can never have an equal cooperative relationship with Chen Ming.

And as long as Dusk consists of many individual entities, there is no way they could completely trust him.

Only individuals act emotionally, but factions always prioritize interests.

Chen Ming is clear that individual entities within Dusk have emotions.

However, the Dusk faction, like human factions, will not interact with Chen Ming beyond interests due to emotions.

So if Chen Ming really wants to develop with Dusk in the future,

there are only two scenarios.

The first is for Chen Ming to completely abandon his human identity, and consider himself an entity within Dusk, contributing to Dusk’s development.

Simply put, it’s being a dog for Dusk.

But even if he is a dog, will Dusk really let down their guard against him?

Chen Ming still finds it impossible, and he will never do this. He crushes the idea each time it arises.

The other scenario is the reverse.

If Chen Ming controls Dusk, he can fully trust Dusk, which is something Dusk could never achieve.

So under such circumstances, Chen Ming’s thought about Dusk is simple.

Control them.

Hence, his attitude towards Dusk corresponds to a façade of cooperation while being prepared to backstab at any time.

Although Chen Ming knows Dusk’s attitude towards him is quite good.

Providing a suitable working environment, adequate materials, and relatively easy tasks, apart from somewhat restricting his freedom, everything is fine.

But even so, some things won’t change because of attitude.

Chen Ming’s ability naturally conflicts with Dusk.

An ability to control a spaceship also completely controls the Dusk AI aboard the ship.

Even if it departs from the spaceship, far away from Chen Ming, the control remains intact.

From the perspective of Chen Ming’s spiritual energy, the source of all this, his interests naturally clash with those of Dusk.

But until Dusk has a complete understanding of Chen Ming, they cannot confirm this.

So they previously dispatched two cruisers for Chen Ming’s rescue, hoping to develop Chen Ming into one of their own, and were willing to engage in some interest exchange.

But if this matter is completely confirmed by Dusk,

what they would do is something Chen Ming does not wish to see.

This is the irreconcilable conflict between him and Dusk.

Hence, when Chen Ming finally considered what he had to do, he directly dispelled the idea of peaceful co-existence and cooperation.

The premise of peaceful co-existence is balanced power.

Chen Ming is not qualified to make Dusk peaceful towards him, so he must choose risky methods to act.

Before Dusk discovers the reality of his ability and imposes limitations Chen Ming cannot resist, he opts to act first.

Although he indeed feels that actively undermining Dusk is not particularly right, given Dusk’s decent attitude, he still has some psychological burden.

There are feelings of guilt.

Certainly, guilt aside, Chen Ming will not hesitate in what he must do.

Moreover, bluntly speaking,

If he controls Dusk, aided by his abilities, to some extent, it’s actually a good thing.

Chen Ming admits this statement might be somewhat shameless.

But conversely, if Chen Ming fully joins Dusk, it’s undeniably greatly beneficial for Dusk, allowing their technology to develop rapidly.

Thus, if seen in that light, it’s essentially the same if all of Dusk is gathered under Chen Ming’s command, serving as his subordinates. Naturally, he would not withhold his abilities.

Dusk would also develop.

So what Chen Ming has to do is simple and clear.

Using the five Dusk AI cores Chen Ming currently controls as seeds, gradually spreading his control throughout the entire star system.

The Dusk AI controlled by Chen Ming will spread among Dusk like a virus, gradually proliferating.
