Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 267: Chapter 111 Freedom Alliance_2

When Chen Ming previously asked Old Wu to procure supplies, he also prepared some replacement weapons, mostly of the point-defense type.

After all, Chen Ming had already been involved in spaceship battles for some time and knew that the effect of small weapons in actual combat was often mediocre at best.

In real fleet battles, at least medium-sized or larger weapons are needed to be considered the main firepower.

Generally speaking, the valuable small weapons in fleet battles are still the point-defense weapons.

However, to ensure that Chen Ming still had weapons available in some special situations.

He had Old Wu slightly prepare some commonly seen and useful small weapons.

So now, Chen Ming planned to go all out and choose to install the most expensive ion pulses on the fighter jets.

Although it’s a bit of a loss to use it for self-destruction once.

But Chen Ming just wanted to see the effect and incidentally test if his abilities could be extended.

The moment Gamma Z voiced his doubts, Chen Ming quickly decided on which weapon to use.

Then, he proceeded to repair the Torrent Level.

Mixed-metal liquid appeared out of thin air on the flight deck and, within a few breaths, formed into the shape of the Terminator Fighters in the hangar.

The eight Terminator Fighters neatly parked in the hangar once again made Gamma Z voice his confusion: ”Huh?”

Chen Ming didn’t explain too much, just said, ”Continue.”

Gamma Z was silent for a moment, then suddenly understood the meaning of Chen Ming’s previous seemingly unreasonable remarks.

He tried to accept it all and replied, ”Yes.”

Just when the pirates and Zuo Jing both thought that the Torrential Rain had no counterattack capability.

The starboard flight deck of the Torrent Level suddenly lit up in red again.

Eight dark red lights with slender trails flew out.

The Zuo Jing commander wiped his cold sweat again as they streamed down, his hair standing on end.

The Torrent Level was clearly just a frigate, and even if all irrelevant equipment cabins inside were removed, it would be impossible to fill the remaining space with eight fighters.

The only explanation for the appearance of these eight new fighters in front of him is just one.

This is the effect of Spiritual Energy.

The Zuo Jing captain previously learned from the conflict between Sinda Corporation and the Star Zone Military that various forces were spreading.

Chen Ming is a Psychic with abilities to control and enhance ships, but his Spiritual Energy is limited to ships he has personally interacted with.

He believed it if the engineering ship had contact.

But if this Torrent was indeed as the pirate captain said, transported all the way from the Star Realm Capital by logistics, it shouldn’t have been influenced by Chen Ming, who was taken away by Dusk during the last military conflict with Sinda Corporation.

This was clearly abnormal.

But the current situation left him no time for much thought.

The eight fighters already glowed with crimson light, surging towards them.

Dodging was impossible, escaping was futile, and trying to fight back would only miss.

The lack of tactical prowess left him with only one solution he could think of: to gather forces, using multiple ships’ shields to forcibly distribute and endure the damage.

If they could block it, great; if not, the end would be shared doom.

Yet this almost suicidal order was executed with exquisite efficiency by Zuo Jing’s fleet.

Only leaving the Zuo Jing captain’s flagship sheltered behind the remaining three ships.

The pirate fleet nearby found themselves in an equally awkward position.

Although Chen Ming didn’t target him, he had plenty of time and space to escape.

But the pirate captain dared not flee.

Because he just agreed to sign a hiring contract with Zuo Jing, and his movements hadn’t been very discreet along the way.

If he dared to run now, once Zuo Jing investigated his whereabouts later, he would definitely be captured and interrogated about what happened here.

How would he explain why the Zuo Jing fleet he ”accidentally” encountered was completely wiped out, while he returned unscathed?

So he didn’t dare to run at all.

He was forced to, in order to protect Zuo Jing’s fleet, dispatch several ships, symbolically attacking the charging fighters.

However, at this moment, a surprising event occurred for both the pirates and Zuo Jing.

Among the eight fighters that charged forward, each originally had the Terminator Core’s crimson glow activated.

But now, the other seven fighters were left behind, with only one charging forward with even more dazzling red light.

This was at Chen Ming’s request to Gamma Z.

Because he wanted to try to use repair abilities to accomplish something he had just thought of whimsically.

And due to Chen Ming’s recent miraculous ship transformations, Gamma Z accepted the order, no matter how absurd it sounded.

As for why Chen Ming did this.

It was because overloading the Terminator Fighter’s Terminator Core is a process that takes time.

And during the overload, various problems inevitably arise in the ship’s components.

Besides manually triggering overload, the Terminator Core is also used to temporarily suppress these issues, which can maintain stability roughly until the fighter explodes.

Of course, under normal circumstances, the Terminator Core would already be unable to maintain the fighter’s equipment stability a short time before the explosion.

So, Chen Ming was attempting to continuously repair the fighter during its overload.
