Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 261: Chapter 109: Plans Cannot Keep Up with Changes_4

Lastly, he reinstalled the Delta Core back onto the Torrent Level ship and reset everything through the panel.

At this point, Delta still retained some computational power, enough to get it back to Dusk without fear of unexpected events.

Even if something did happen, Chen Ming had the emergency skills to handle it.

After completing all these tasks.

Chen Ming suddenly rubbed his forehead, feeling a bit of a headache.

Because now, the plans he had meticulously set up needed to be adjusted according to the new situation.

An unexpected, clean-identity Gamma Level AI has made some of his previous efforts seem somewhat pointless.

But it’s not completely meaningless, of course.

The actions Chen Ming took have now drawn all of Dusk’s attention to himself and the three AIs at the mining facility.

It would be hard for Dusk to spare energy to track down a Gamma Level entity that went missing years ago and was only recently sold here.

And a Gamma Z that wouldn’t attract any of Dusk’s attention was certainly going to help Chen Ming establish a foothold in Dusk’s territory.

Because what Gamma Z had been doing was the planning of production lines, an area where it excels.

Chen Ming didn’t ponder much longer; thinking is never as good as taking action.

So he confirmed the situation again and reinstalled Gamma B back onto the modified Warrior ship.

He sent Gamma B and Gamma Z back to Dusk separately, and they would return the modified Warrior and Torrent Level ships later.

These two ships form the foundation for Chen Ming’s future fleet assembly.

The two ships activated the Superspace Navigation System and utilized the low-density, large-gravity well of the Asteroid Belt. After spending more time than normal Star System use, they successfully entered Superspace.

However, just as they began to accelerate, a disruptor pulse suddenly swept through, forcibly limiting the speed of the two ships.

Chen Ming immediately noticed a small fleet appearing on the sensors of the modified Warrior ship.

Looking at the fleet, with their obviously crudely modified ship exteriors.

Chen Ming was taken aback, his mind slowly overwhelmed by a question mark.

Are there actually pirates?

He had just finished explaining the backstory to Gamma Z, saying that the story involved pirates attacking a cargo fleet carrying the Torrent Level ship.

And now, they genuinely encountered one, leaving Chen Ming momentarily at a loss for words.

This was truly a complete surprise.

However, upon recalling, Chen Ming realized that he hasn’t seen pirates for some time, and he almost forgot that he had been in a Pirate Space Station.

Wait, that’s not right.

Chen Ming thought carefully and suddenly realized he’d only encountered and fought with two pirate groups.

One was the smuggler convoy disguised as pirates who attacked him at the Dark Graveyard.

The other was the pirates he sought out for a three-million bounty.

But in fact, Chen Ming had been at the Pirate Space Station daily, where at least seventy to eighty percent of the people he saw were involved in piracy at some point.

He simply hadn’t been aware of it before.

But that’s not the point.

The point is, even if Chen Ming only had two frigates and a battle-inept engineering ship, he wasn’t worried at all.

He even considered taking the time to contact Old Wu and ask him about the AI core inside the Torrent.

But just as Chen Ming was having this thought, another fleet appeared within the sensor’s scan range.

Seeing the fleet’s iconic suicide ships, Chen Ming knew it belonged to a small fleet from Luder’s Zuo Jing.

As Zuo Jing approached, they also discovered the pirate fleet standing off against Chen Ming.

All three parties suddenly stopped in place.

It was obvious the two fleets were not on the same side, merely encountered each other by chance here.

Chen Ming immediately planned to retreat and let them fight like dogs.

However, before Chen Ming could act, the two fleets suddenly lowered their guards and teamed up against Chen Ming’s two ships.

”?”

”Do you guys know each other?”
