Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 253: Chapter 107 Urgent Time, Restrictions on Going Out_4

Dusk could not harbor such suspicions.

It’s not that Chen Ming believed Dusk’s thinking to be so rigid.

It’s because, if Dusk truly suspected this, then Brilliant, which has always overseen Chen Ming, Radiant, which had prior contact with Chen Ming, and even every single Dusk entity on the Dusk Colony would come under suspicion.

Therefore, unless Dusk suspects the entire colony, there isn’t sufficient reason to harbor long-term suspicion of a Dusk AI that has had no contact whatsoever with Chen Ming.

As long as this Dusk AI can be preserved, Chen Ming will subsequently have ample opportunities to undertake certain matters of great importance to him.

Iron Ore No. returned to the factory.

While on the Dusk side, there remained a need to continue excavating the mining site.

Brilliant was not the overall commander of this affair, so it still had time to handle other matters.

For instance, reporting the situation to higher-ups and modifying Chen Ming’s daily report.

The risk rating on Chen Ming’s daily report had initially been lowered to a medium level a few days ago.

However, following today’s incident, Brilliant had once again raised it to high.

If any issues are discovered during their subsequent search and investigation of the mining site, then Chen Ming’s risk will continue to rise.

They will inevitably take some measures against Chen Ming.

Certainly not direct neutralization; Chen Ming has demonstrated his capabilities during the cooperation over the past few days.

Brilliant knows that their research entities have already been crafting some test weapons aimed at Chen Ming’s abilities and are also designing weapons that could utilize Chen Ming’s abilities to achieve special effects based on the test results from these days.

Thus, even if targeted measures are to be taken against Chen Ming, it surely won’t be something like a direct kill.

Of course, if it was something Chen Ming had just been brought back for, direct neutralization could have been a high possibility.

But now, how Chen Ming will be treated subsequently will be determined by the results of the investigation into this mining site explosion incident.

Iron Ore No. flew back to the factory, stopping inside at Brilliant’s request.

Brilliant also subsequently locked the factory gate’s access, temporarily confining Chen Ming inside.

In a physical sense, it revoked Chen Ming’s external access privileges.

And Chen Ming decided to be agreeable for a few days, fully cooperating with Brilliant’s operations.

He seemed genuinely innocent, as though he just needed a reasonable outcome.

Whether Brilliant believed him or not, Chen Ming didn’t know, but regardless of belief, he had already accomplished his task.

When he could go out again later, it would probably be the time for his transfer.

During the next few days, Chen Ming planned to construct a new robot.

The previous cargo robot was quite convenient, so Chen Ming intended to replicate one.

The technical book from Old Wu was so complete that Chen Ming could even freely add vulnerabilities to the robot’s chipset.

Thus, with so much equipment inside the factory, it should suffice to rebuild one.

Brilliant only withdrew Chen Ming’s external access, but he still had access to other permissions within the factory.

While Chen Ming was pondering the robot’s blueprint.

Old Wu suddenly made a couple of swipes on the Sentinel.

Chen Ming immediately sent a communication over, but Old Wu declined.

Chen Ming instantly became cautious and looked over, finding nothing unusual about Old Wu.

In his curiosity, he opened the hatch for Old Wu, letting him enter the spacecraft.

Once inside the captain’s cabin, Old Wu finally spoke up: ”Xiao Mu, your spaceship is almost here, it’s been transported from the Prosperous Star Realm to the Star Realm Capital, and should arrive through normal logistics in about a day.”

”Oh?”

Chen Ming felt slightly excited inside, he had been waiting quite a while for this Torrent-Level that he’d invested so much in.

Chen Ming unconsciously glanced over to Gamma B at this moment.

While Chen Ming was busy over the past few days, Gamma B had also completed several tasks issued within the Dusk, earning some Mechanical Race chips as mission rewards.

It had reached the limits of Gamma Level AI, elevating to Beta Level, and was in the process of a core swap.

”I understand, I’ll make arrangements on my end.”
