Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 251: Chapter 107 Urgent Time, Restrictions on Going Out_2

”This is the last erroneous data my robot transmitted back, do you want to take a look?”

Chen Ming transmitted a data packet to the factory computer.

The data packet wasn’t fabricated by Chen Ming, it was genuine, because Chen Ming indeed tampered with the robot.

He made it so that at a certain moment, it would actively trigger an error designed in Chen Ming’s program and use the explosives it carried to blow open the hatch that had its explosion-proof airtight door and most of the White Cloud Steel material removed by Chen Ming.

Afterwards, Chen Ming intended to use his abilities to control the mining robot.

Thus turning everything that appeared deliberate into coincidences.

Just as Chen Ming was sending the data packet to the factory computer,

a second big explosion occurred at the mining site.

Another collapse happened near the mine passage, with half of Iron Ore No. sinking underground.

And at that moment, Chen Ming immediately told Brilliant, ”My robot’s signal is cut off.”

At the same time, corresponding to what Chen Ming was saying,

with this explosion, a large amount of shattered rock completely blocked the upper mine passage.

With the internal electrical network of the mining passage damaged and the signal repeater disconnected, scanning devices found it difficult to continue exploring in a fully enclosed space.

They also subsequently lost control over the location of Chen Ming’s robot.

To Dusk above ground, the depths underground were already a pitch-black darkness.

At least until more powerful scanning exploration devices arrived on the scene.

However, for Chen Ming, the underground now seemed more like it had fallen completely into his grasp.

So he had to seize the time.

At this moment, Brilliant was already full of suspicion.

But Chen Ming’s behavior in recent days had been very cooperative, showing no intention of resistance.

And according to its observations during this period, it indeed thought Chen Ming couldn’t control things outside the ship.

But some things were right in front of him and couldn’t simply be detached because of Chen Ming’s recent behavior.

Brilliant said to Chen Ming again, ”Mr. Chen, we need you to explain the cause of this explosion.”

”Our mining site doesn’t use any materials that might cause an explosion of this magnitude. What could lead to such a situation must be your mining robot.”

Chen Ming, looking as though he was also unclear, said, ”I don’t know, I did have my mining robot carry some explosives, but I never instructed it to use them.”

”Perhaps... my robot has had some issues for a while? My expertise in robotics isn’t exquisite.”

”The transformation was done with a transport robot you saw before.”

”I feel it was a problem in my modification that I didn’t notice.”

”Hold on a moment.”

As Chen Ming spoke, he pulled up all the control operation records he had for the mining robot on Iron Ore No.’s computer.

As well as the chip operational data of the mining robot backed up on the computer.

He sent them all to the factory computer.

”I know you’re suspicious of me now, but I have no reason to casually blow up a mining site, what good does it do me?”

Brilliant accepted the data but still said, ”Mr. Chen, whether we suspect or not is our business.”

”I know, so I will cooperate with you.”

Chen Ming said this and acted accordingly, even taking the initiative to explain, assuming part of the blame onto himself.

This way, when Dusk investigates and comes up with results, it would be easier for him to guide in this regard.

After all, he did mix some vulnerabilities into the behavioral logic chip of the mining robot.

And these vulnerabilities precisely allowed the mining robot to receive some inexplicable, randomly appearing false commands.

Despite having two sets of data prepared, and with Brilliant already having discovered the data vulnerabilities of the robot,

it still didn’t fully believe Chen Ming’s words.

Because it all seemed too coincidental, as if everything was meticulously arranged.

However, Brilliant had no means at the moment.

Because most places in the mine passage were monitored, although it was gone now due to the explosion.

But as of yesterday, apart from the newly excavated deepest part of the mine passage, almost every place was under Dusk’s surveillance, with just a few blind spots.

But for the mining robot’s size, these blind spots were almost negligible.

Chen Ming’s mining robot temporarily left Dusk’s surveillance only when mining near the newly excavated passage underground.

And Brilliant had just reverified all the footage, showing that Chen Ming’s robot practically had no time to arrange to place large amounts of explosives to cause such an explosion.

Moreover, there was currently no direct evidence to prove that the signal repeater failure was caused by Chen Ming.

So although Brilliant was full of suspicion, it still had no substantial evidence to prove that Chen Ming was orchestrating everything from the beginning.

However, it could still impose some restrictions on Chen Ming.

”Mr. Chen, your ship’s external travel permissions are temporarily revoked, please have your ship return immediately, we need to ensure safety.”

Brilliant didn’t mention whose safety needed ensuring, but it didn’t matter anymore.

Chen Ming’s objective had already been achieved.

He cooperatively said, ”I’m doing just that.”

The bottom engines of Iron Ore No.’s landing module once again spewed out flames, lifting the ship’s body from the debris that nearly buried it completely.
