Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 275: Chapter 113 Gamma Z’s Arrangement, Movement of the 14th Legion_2

Of course, the allocated supplies still need to be delivered.

If you try to skimp on minor expenses here, it would be regrettable if something is discovered later.

So, Chen Ming would prefer to spend a bit more to ensure the highest success rate.

After all, this doesn’t need to come out of Chen Ming’s allocation.

In short, Gamma Z has just taken control of a supply point, which Chen Ming believes, after careful consideration, is the most likely place to encounter other Dusk entities.

Every Dusk AI that arrives here and gets connected to Gamma AI will fall under Chen Ming’s control.

Although this control won’t be too rapid, since Dusk’s colonies often have many supply points.

But if the number of Dusk entities controlled by Chen Ming continues to increase slowly, after reaching a certain level, the growth rate will be exponential.

However, that’s a matter for later.

Gamma Z is currently only here temporarily.

Next, it needs to relocate to another place.

From the intelligence provided by Gamma A and the subsequent explanations by Gamma B,

Chen Ming chose a special star system for Gamma Z as its final destination, which is open to all Dusk entities.

Chen Ming previously considered a few questions carefully.

The biggest issue is that Gamma Z is currently only Gamma Level and can’t produce enough effect, so it needs an upgrade.

What’s the fastest way to upgrade?

Naturally, it is by completing tasks for Dusk to earn legitimately acquired Mechanical Race chips.

And what’s the most efficient way to complete the tasks?

Letting Gamma Z do its essential work, slowly blending in with the production lines of various factories won’t work; it’s too inefficient.

Moreover, strategic resources like Mechanical Race chips, which are crucial for Dusk, certainly cannot be easily requisitioned through Chen Ming’s control over the factories, and greed is not a good choice.

At least not until Chen Ming’s control expands further.

So, Chen Ming must have some other arrangements.

Therefore, after careful consideration, high-intensity battle tasks are very suitable for Gamma Z.

When Chen Ming discussed Mechanical Race chips with Old Wu before,

Old Wu mentioned that he acquires chips from regions with substantial contact with the Mechanical Race, even bordering controlled star realms.

Coincidentally, the neighboring star realm of the Gallo Star Realm where Chen Ming is located is a star realm bordering the Mechanical Race.

By broadening the view a bit, one can see that Dusk and the Mechanical Race are also bordering.

Although Dusk and Mechanical Race are both similar to mechanical life forms, their conflicts are no less intense than those between humans and Mechanical Race.

It can only be said that Mechanical Race harbors a deep and incomprehensible hatred towards humans that seems to extend to human creations, like Dusk.

Hence, Chen Ming set Gamma Z’s target in a star system near the regions of Dusk and Mechanical Race, where conflicts frequently erupt.

There are many opportunities here.

According to Gamma B,

there is only one Dusk colony in this star system.

It’s a colony that balances heavy industry and military.

It has many production lines in heavy industry that can process from ores to final spaceship products, with many factories capable of producing batches of spacecraft and directly deploying them into battle.

It’s equivalent to placing military factories right at the frontline.

And besides the factories, there are also numerous planetary defense installations on the planet, ensuring it will never fall.

As long as supplies are sufficient and the number of Dusk entities keeps up, there will be endless combat power.

In this self-sustaining industrial setup, a blockade from the outside won’t have much effect.

After all, Dusk doesn’t lack the capability to remotely control ships.

Although the efficiency is relatively low, as long as damage to Dusk entities is controlled, everything else is minor and can be replenished later.

As long as this fortress-like planet on the Dusk-Mechanical Race frontline does not fall, Dusk’s territory can always remain stable.

The Mechanical Race has been unable to capture it for a long time, so they somewhat gave up on directly attacking Dusk from here, yet still maintain low-intensity combat.

It’s like helping Dusk train soldiers.

After all, combat is not something you can learn just by putting military manuals into your brain.

This battlefield is just right to provide a rapid growth environment for those Gamma AIs with advantages in spaceship piloting and combat.

It’s the same for the Mechanical Race on that side.

The risks on such a battlefield still exist, but they are acceptable.

Gamma A has been here before, Gamma B has been here too, and although Gamma Z hasn’t been here because its advantage logic blocks aren’t in ship and combat areas, it has no choice now. To upgrade quickly, battle is obviously the most efficient way.

Gamma B did this before, just in another place relatively far from Chen Ming, where the Mechanical Race is also present, and the risk of being detected is even lower.

Chen Ming placed Gamma Z in this location closer to himself because Gamma Z’s conditions are better.

In case of unexpected situations, maybe some support can be provided.

Specifically, who will support whom is uncertain for Chen Ming.

Anyway, his idea is very clear.

While Gamma Z is upgrading to Beta Level here,

He’ll let the Dusk entities controlled in the colonies’ factories on habitable planets secretly grow and expand.
